Sounds like AKingdom might be having spam filter-related issues.

Possibly.

My "chat" with them, (a few e-mails exchanged within minutes of each other), has moved into a fantasy realm. Once it dawned on them that I was writing to ask why he hasn't even received a confirmation of receipt e-mail, and is there a delay in response times atm, (apparently they don't normally send such a confirmation), they have now written, (and I wasn't asking for any account information nor anything about his issue) :

"For security reasons, we are unable to provide account information to third parties. Please have the player write to us from the email address registered to the account '*********' and we will be happy to assist further.
Please have the player contact us directly and we can assist further."

Agent only site that splintered off from Pokermania, which was the only site that used to have HORSE games in the US running. When they split no more HORSE players so I assume that's where they went. Anyone have contact info for me so I can try to get in the games?

He he thx. Well to give you an update I have now received a reply saying that they have forwarded my query to the appropriate department. Perhaps it's a matter of my issue being one of the ones with a longer response time, who knows .

Some people have it and others don't. You need to find a trustworthy affiliate. You can't ask for it in this thread. So yes it is possible to make money without cashing out.

Is there a section of 2+2 forums for rakeback, or do you mean you can't ask on here at all? (Didn't realise it was against the rules, just assumed this thread might be a place to ask for this network)

What do you mean by some players? (you aren't talking about the 5% VIP which is only on tiger and not BOL) -(and i don't really get how affiliates would exist for this site unless i am missing how affiliate sites make money - or is it adding as little as up to 5% sort of region - combining to 10%)

2p2 has draconian rules about "advertising" where you're not supposed to post anything about affiliate deals. It's not against the rules for you to ask the question, but it's against the rules for anyone to imply or indicate that they have a RB deal, which essentially makes it impossible to discuss the topic. PM your local mod for an explanation of this ludicrous policy.

Basically 2+2 is an affiliate themselves. By offering people deals you are competing with 2+2 and thats not allowed for free. Pay 2 play. Its crazy to think about the amount of money 2+2 is making when you factor in advertising revenue + sites paying for subforums + all the players they referred to sites by clicking through ad links here. Its fascinating lol.

There actually is a place to ask for rakeback in these forums. It's called the Rakeback Request Form. The offers are pretty limited for US players. I'm not sure what all ROW players can get. Rakeback for this network is not available there.

Two Plus Two will remove any requests for rakeback in this thread as well as posts from independent affiliates advertising it in here. I believe H0RUS explained why pretty well.

I meant some players have sought out and found trustworthy affiliates. The amount you get is dependent on the affiliate. Affiliates make money by bringing sites players and then getting a percentage of the rake those players produce.

2+2 is not, and never has been, an affiliate for any poker site, aside from the poker book bonus deals where most (perhaps all) of the one-time CPA payment goes to pay for the free books and shipping.

The reason we have, in RWE's words, "draconian rules" (LOL) about responding to RB requests is that our forums used to have dozens of affiliates that were here for no other reason than to build their businesses for free. As a result, a number of years ago we cracked down on this and disallowed anyone from responding to poster's RB requests, even by PM. At the same time, we got rid of the different RB request threads and created a form where posters could request offers from our advertisers:

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/p...php?do=newrbpm

As for requests in threads like this, they usually get deleted as there's no point having requests that aren't allowed to be responded to.

Keep in mind, I'm talking about RB requests. If we're not going to allow people to reply to them with offers, what's the point in keeping them there, aside from as some kind of honey pot trap?

And I'll add, I'll be the first to admit the rules we have around this aren't perfect, but I don't think there is a perfect answer.

I think it would be more appropriate to use contextual clues to determine whether a discussion about RB violates your "no advertising" policies, or should violate those policies.

The Chico thread is a thread of mostly people who grind the site (some for a living) who share information relevant to the network. Sometimes those discussions involve financial considerations. Nobody in there is an affiliate or hawking their affiliate wares. And the U.S. online poker market is difficult enough already to navigate without being prevented from sharing/discussing info.

So I don't get what deleting all posts regarding RB accomplishes other than saves you time of having to discern which posts should constitute a violation. And again, some of these posts are simply questioning what exists, so when you refer to them as "RB requests," that's not entirely accurate. It's not some kind of offer/acceptance marketplace. Most people are just seeking information.

Agreed, which is why this is exactly what we do.

For the most part, that's true. Every once in a while there's a post we need to deal with, but most of the "hawking their affiliate wares" happens via PM.

I couldn't tell you what it accomplishes, since we don't do that.

Which is why I don't do this.

Hahaha. I guess you're doing a great job then, when judged by yourself, eh?

It's whatever, I shared my thoughts, in case you wanted to hear how someone else sees things. No point in parsing through this more, I'm sure you will agree.

Well sure, I'm not going to be my own harshest critic; if I thought I was doing it wrong, I'd change things.

But yes, I sincerely do appreciate hearing other opinions. I don't play at Chico, so the thread isn't there for my benefit. But I need to balance the desires of some members to have more open conversation about the topic with our desire to slow the spammers and scammers. I'll try to be more relaxed about those posts where possible.

Did you collude? If you did doesn't really matter they are not opening your account after that imo.

Five years have passed! I was told that they can review the decision in three years. I saw people on the forums ban for several accounts and unban the amount of damage was x20 more than me.
It was young and stupid I think everyone has the right to a second chance.
