So I emailed and asked for a refund of the SNG i was blinded out of due to their geolocation outage. This was the response I got.

"Dear Player,

Thank you for contacting WSOP.com support. Please be advised the technical difficulties you may have experienced last night have been resolved. We appreciate your patience and loyalty to WSOP.com.

See you at the tables!"

Anyone else attempt to get compensated for the outage?

In my experience, WSOP.com has always refused to issue a refund when its geolocation fails. The responses I get either blame it on me or are like the one you got where it seems they didn't even read my email. Did they end up refunding all action since it was system wide failure?

If you haven't received a refund you should tweet @wsopcom and @billrini. He seems pretty responsive.

I am in Nevada and would like to observe the games a bit before possibly signing up for my own real money account. Is this possible?

I believe you can observe once you have an account, without depositing yet.

If I create an account just to observe, will that prevent me from getting a first time deposit bonus if I decide to deposit in the future?

i doubt it would prevent it cos you havent deposited yet... but you can always email support and they will get back to you same day.

Take that money over to the cash games. 1-2-5 PLO (mandatory button straddle) is juicy.

They did not.

I'm happy that these outages are rare events but the way they deal with them needs to be addressed.

If issuing refunds would be too costly then they need to build a system like stars and other major sites use that can pause/rollback and cancel all running tourneys and issue equity based refunds.

The current system just allows a handful of players lucky enough to get back on site early to win sngs vs 8 sitouts, or build a massive chiplead in an mtt.

lets do some math...
$1 rake paid = 2apps u need 100 apps to clear 10$

so u need to pay $50 in rake. avg pot size in only running 25/50 at moment is $10.... on a 10$ pot u would pay 50 cents in rake.

so you need to win 100 pots of avg size.... would that be 1 pot every 15 hands? if so then u would need 1500 hands.

thanks......your math looks correct to me......it looks like you tend to get about 75 hands per hour so if you played 2 tables at a time you would clear $1 per hour

out of curiosity, do you know if you can play multiple tables on an iPad?

Is not allowing people to even spectate unless you are in the state a law thing or choice by WSOP? Pretty lame not being able to watch the FT online bracelet events. And anything else for that matter. Hopefully it's the law because that would only help out the site if you let people see what they be missing out on.

It's a choice by WSOP. You could rail Ultimate Poker without logging in.

I gave this place another chance to take advantage of the summer traffic and reload bonus. I discovered that its support is as bad as it always was.

I went to cashout $411 from a $400 cash deposit I made at Rio on June 30. They wouldn't let me because they said I didn't give enough action. I raked $273 and churned the deposit 15x. I told them that I was withdrawing because the traffic in my games dried up and their shorthanded rake was unplayable, not that I should have to have any excuse at all, especially with this action.

After I argued with their nonsense, they then rejected the withdrawal until I produce a bank statement. I deposited by cash at Rio and my balance was $0 at the time. The account was dormant for months before this. They went back and found some $25 deposit that cleared long ago that they're suddenly concerned about due to my suspicious behavior of winning $11 after paying them $273 in rake.

I can't produce that bank statement anymore because the account isn't active. They should have asked for it months ago if they were really that concerned about it. It cleared months ago so they have no legitimate purpose in requesting it now. It just seems like an intentional hassle, especially since they only thought of this problem after I called them on their other nonsense.

Maybe they're trying to push me into reversing the withdrawal and play again. All they've done is guarantee that I won't be enticed by the next reload bonus since it appears for the second time I'm going to have to go to Gaming to get paid by WSOP because their support is unable to do basic things.

I can't believe they are still this bad four years into it. Ultimate Poker had this right on the first day all the way to its last. There's no excuse for this.

$273 rake is like 1 or 2 days full play for me. They have to abide by title 31, and all AML. A deposit then a withdrawal 2 days later could be suspicious. Certigy wont take my withdrawals or deposits anymore they said I am high risk due to too many transactions. The only transactions I make are a once a month withdrawal and every reload bonus I deposit and withdraw the appropriate amount. They are bound by the laws of the jurisdiction they are in. And these laws were written for live casino gambling not online, so they are antiquated.

I deposited on June 30 and requested the withdrawal on July 17. The deposit was cash and the withdrawal was within $11 of the deposit. I also turned the deposit over 15 times. This was hardly suspicious.

Sure, $273 isn't a ton of rake, but it was 7x the industry standard for a cashout request and the reason I was withdrawing was because of the traffic loss after WSOP.

FWIW they have up their nonsense and paid me today.

I haven't been in Nevada for a few years. Has the HUD policy changed at all?

I thought I read somewhere that you could now contact WSOP and get them to save the HH on your local computer and PT4 would work, is this true?

If True will HM work also?

I see people saying that ACR doesn't accept Nevada, but what if you already signed up from another state, can you play ACR in Nevada, or the location won't let you log in and play?
