Poor support is the only thing I agree with in this rant. ACR doesn't accept Nevadans so the advice is useless for this thread anyway. Even if it did, I don't see much reason to risk offshore sites when you have a regulated option available. If you live in a state with no local options, then ACR is a good option if you're inclined to play at an offshore site.

I wanted to create an account here in order to observe the games but it asks me for a promotion code... I don't really want to waste the opportunity in case I eventually decide to play there.

So where do I get a bonus code and is there an expiration date for whatever bonus they provide?

There really isn't a bonus code for the first deposit. There is no rakeback or anything special like that. I'm pretty sure you must be in Nevada to view the games even if you make an account. It was like that at one point.

You are right I've been on ACR since 2012 I was grandfathered in I left for Bovada's higher player pool and fish had a lot of success until they either sold and/or rebranded their platform which is now Ignition I tried to get on they said they couldn't take me so I went back to ACR thank god I did started with a 25.00 deposit now i am sitting at 496.00 just playing 3.00 sit n goes but what i will do is play on stars if they ever get legalized in the USA again.

There's not much of a risk if you continually withdraw your money and keep it low I deposited 25.00 I don't play high stakes but when ever i get to high for my own comfort I simply withdraw a certain percentage I am sure one day i might get screwed but for 3 years It's been good on ACR payouts are on par with what Bovada had. And no HUD use I ain't playing on any site that doesn't permit a HUD.

There is a first time depositers bonus on wsop. (it is listed on their site under the promotions section) All bonus' are 20% rakeback on top of what u already have up to the limit of the match. And there is rakeback built intot he status tiers. I know platinum is 12.5% diamond is 15% and elite is 20%. I believe seven stars is 35%. I am not sure about the lower tiers.

Anybody else get a warning email from attempting to log in on the Android mobile app with a rooted device?

If they don't want players using their software with a rooted device, that's fine and their choice, but they should at least be up front about it when trying to log in, rather than giving a vague message saying something like "Software may be running on your device preventing the geolocation software from operating properly. Disable this software and try again"- yet then sending an email a week or two later saying they may close my account if I attempt to log in from my rooted device again.

FWIW, being rooted doesn't prevent geolocation from working properly. My banking, GPS apps, and everything else works just fine.

Dear ********,

To ensure we are meeting all regulations, we continually monitor for suspicious geo-location behavior. Recently there was potentially suspicious location activity on your WSOP.com account in which we have detected the use of a device, an Android, which has been identified as being rooted, which is prohibited. We also detected the use of blocked software, Root Hiding Apps, which is also prohibited.

We have made the decision to keep your account open on the condition that in the future you do not log-in and/or play on WSOP.com from any devices that have been rooted and/or using blocked software. For more information on rooted devices and why your phone is being identified as such we advise you to contact your mobile phone provider.

If it is detected that you are using a device with any of the above moving forward, we reserve the right to take action up to permanently closing your account. Should this happen you will not be permitted to create new accounts with any Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc. licensed brands.

Best,

Cherissa I.

But does being rooted allow you to prevent geolocation from working properly, if you were so inclined?

none of the games I play can be played on a cell phone so wont effect me. I play plo8 and stud 8. My android isnt rooted, but it is somehting i would research to see what it would allow me to do. I dont know if that allows circumventing of some of their security/geolocation services. Personally i dislike that they dont allow it, but if it does prevent a security risk then i understand it.

I'm planning on setting up a WSOP account soon, am I right in understanding that rakeback comes directly from WSOP and not any affiliates, or can you get affiliate rakeback too?

I believe it's only from WSOP

I have been having a major problem and want to know if anyone has any advice or has encountered the same problem. I have almost no knowledge about anything tech related and am very confused on what could be causing the issue.

So here it is. I have been playing on wsop.com literally since its first day of inception but have only recently been having trouble. I am originally from Portland OR but spend about 5-6 months a year in Vegas grinding and have never had any problem verifying my location. Just two weeks ago I made the full time move out to Vegas and every day I've played online, which has been basically everyday, I cannot go more than about 45 minutes without randomly receiving the error message saying that players outside of Nevada are not allowed to play for real money and then am kicked off all my tables. The strange thing is all I have to do is close the client and open it back up and my location is verified and I am able to play again. It's obliviously extremely annoying to have to shutdown and reopen the client so frequently but even worse is that I am kicked off all tables so every full table that has any kind of list I lose my seat on.

I attempted to call customer support but she was utterly clueless and suggested I email their tech staff. I finally got an email back from them and was informed that my disconnection issues were because my IP address was being routed to Oregon. On a very basic logical level that makes absollutey no sense because it allows me to play almost the whole time and am immediately able to log back on and be verified so obviously I am not in Oregon. Then on top of that, I called my internet provider here (COX) as the tech suggested I do after he couldn't help and the COX rep informed me that they don't even operate in Oregon so there is no way it could be routed to Oregon. So now I have a Cox rep and a WSOP tech guy both with no real clue what is going on.

Any of the Tech geniuses on here have any kind of insight on what could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

rakeback is based on ur status tier (iwth wsop).... I know platinum is 12.5% diamond 15% and elite 20% you can calculate the others based off of that. you can convert ur points to cash anytime by going action club my rewards and converting ur points.

One last thought. Maybe your cell phone is throwing it off. Make sure it is on the same WiFi as your PC.

also you can almost always have a reload/deposit bonus, and I believe all bonuses convert/equal to another 20% rakeback on top of your tier status rakeback

You mind showing how you come up with that number? I love their deposit bonuses and they are juicy, but I didn't think they were anywhere near 20% rb

been awhile since I did this but here goes... $1 in rake = 2 apps. 100 apps = $10. Therefore 50$ paid in rake = 100apps = $10 cash back to u.

10/50 = 20%rakeback to cap of bonus (500 in this case)

What's up guys!?

I played on this site a little bit...2-50 NL Hold'em & 10-100 PLO. I was really impressed with the play of the regulars. I played for fun with real small deposits, showed a profit on pokerpro lab or whatever but actually lost overall. My play consistently involved testing the grind in cash games, and taking 50-100% bankroll shots when I needed some cushion. Of course I busted. butters 2 outed me, lol. He deserved it though, I ran so good vs. him every other time I played him.

Anyway, I did this on two occasions, once around 10-12 months ago and another around 2 months ago. I was surprised to see the exact same people grinding the exact same games. Seems like no one I thought was great really made it "up"? I also was very surprised to see that the tourney reports/charts of many good players weren't all that impressive considering the amount of time people put into the games.

I wanted to ask what everyone thought about why people would be spending so much time and effort for such little reward? I got to thinking it might be the APP conversion to cash feature this site allows.??? I could see how that might be better than say, working at McDonalds.

Seriously though, does anyone agree that the games on this site are tough and doesn't justify the effort from a financial perspective?

Oh, one other cool thing, I found some interesting insight into poker due to the volume of hands you can play. I had always played live poker and some things you just can't get a handle on unless you see mass volume. It was interesting and I think very beneficial to play online, especially against you guys!!

Thanks for the games guys! Good Luck!!
