If DE has no rules against HUDs (and I have no idea if that's the case), how on earth would that be a reasonable course of action?

How is using a HUD against players that are not allowed to use a HUD not outright cheating? Nobody has any issue with the disgusting ethics of this? I guess they could issue a warning if it is not currently in the terms and conditions (I do not know if they have rules against them either).

Because its not against the rules would be the answer to your question. We seem to have a misunderstanding and misuse of the word cheating in this forum all the time for whatever reason. Again, like Bobo, Im not knowledgeable as to the specific rules of these sites, but for the sake of argument lets assume that HonoraryAsian is correct in his assessment. Your personal feelings about the rules of a game are irrelevant when determining what is cheating. I agree with you that it isnt fair, but its not cheating if players from DE are permitted to use a HUD within the rules and choose to do so. Its simply a bad game play rule. Like I said though, your are correct that its not good. Its pretty basic stuff that rules to a game usually must be uniform and apply to all to ensure fairness and good game play.

Re: WSOP.com Nevada Unofficial thread

Spax, I think you're getting caught up in the conversation here and applying what you see to everyone. In other words, you have an issue with people who are in this thread, know that NV players can't use a HUD, but are contemplating using one from DE. I can see you arguing that isn't ethical. That still doesn't give the site grounds to confiscate the money if it isn't against the rules, but I can understand why it would upset you.

What you're forgetting is all the players who have no idea it isn't allowed in NV. It wouldn't be remotely close to reasonable to confiscate their funds for doing something that isn't prohibited. And really, a warning doesn't even make sense. "This isn't against the rules, but stop doing it".

Of course it's unfair if players from one state are allowed to use HUDs when players from another aren't. But the issue in that case is the rules, not the players. If the site saw enough of a problem to issue a warning, they'd also change the rules.

This is all based on there being different rules in the two states, of course.

Re: WSOP.com Nevada Unofficial thread

Saying something extreme gets more discussions on things like this. If I say something more reasonable nobody will pay attention. The thread I started years ago on seating scripts helped get the discussion started and if I was not extreme it would not have got any attention. It appears HUDs are banned in DE anyways so this is a non issue for rules at least.

Extreme is one thing, completely incorrect is another. But as you say, the discussion is moot now anyway.

I would think to be banning you, they must feel that you were circumventing their geolocating in some fashion.

Are they confiscating any money?

I just see .05/.10 stakes for stud available.

I really don't understand why they don't spread all possible limits of the games on their software.

Still completely baffled on the decision to remove FR tables at 100nl and above. Those games run daily with quite a few tables going.

Any theories?

Re: WSOP.com Nevada Unofficial thread

I know that Holdem Indicator works for WSOP.com Nevada for a HUD. Does anyone have any experience with this? I know it's illegal and haven't been using it. Just wondering does the site actually have a way to detect if someone is using it? I just wonder how many people out there are using it.

I was not aware of the ruling when I was down in Vegas a few weeks ago. The very first time the HUD worked. But after that it never worked again. I thought that was odd so emailed support and they said you can reset it or something and it will start working again. I never got around to it. Not much(hardly any) action on that site.

Re: WSOP.com Nevada Unofficial thread

The deposits are kinda hit or miss too. I tried numerous times to deposit 500-1k and it would never go through with my debit card. I eventually got the link bank account/checking account whatever that option was for only a hundo.

Meh.

Edit: Definitely was too lazy to go to the Rio only to deposit onto online account.

from wsop support when i emailed them telling the holdem indicator openly supports their site and condones violating the law.

Thanks for contacting us; my name is Bryan and I'll be helping you today.

Any person who is using these programs will not be allowed to play. The system will detect the software and then kick the player off the site until the software is removed.

I hope this answers your question; if not, please feel free to contact us again.

Action’s on you!

It scrapes the screen then you convert the data into a readable format for PT4 or HEM2. If you're playing online poker, there is always going to be someone using some sort of HUD, there is nothing that can be done about it AFAIK.

I think I got a whopping $1.50 back. From the posted ante but didn't get a hand blip.

Does it take over a week to get e-withdrawals credited for everyone else?

Re: WSOP.com Nevada Unofficial thread

I don't know if this casino changed internet providers or if WSOP is doing a better job at locating people but I could never connect on Montego Bay's(Wendover NV, border town) internet and play but this week I noticed I could log in and play. Wasn't that way last year.

Cool.

withdraws take 24-48 hours to approve for me (business days) and about 3 days to hit my account
