It's 3:30 pm Sunday. I want to play a non-satellite tourney $10 or under. The earliest is a $7 R&A two hours away at 5:30. Whoever made this schedule clearly has no ideal about what he's doing.

I emailed them when I was having the issue and they said they would convert the points to $ for me if I wanted, FYI.

Looks like there's going to be an Online Championship tournament series, probably starting on Friday.

Just noticed WSOP.com has a new website. It looks like it was designed by a 7th grader in 1998.

Different day, different glitches.

First, hand histories were only displaying one hand, and it wouldn't even be the most recent hand. I'd check to see what villain called down with in the last hand and it wouldn't even be shown, haha. At least when I lost a pot, I could use the dealer updates in the chatbox to see what hand they had. Hooray!

Then, it started sitting me out of hands at random tables. Each time I clicked "I'm back" it would just sit me out again when it went to deal another hand. Others expressed the same issue. I'd have to close out of the table and rejoin, at which point it would sometimes say "This table is no longer available." Sometimes when I tried to join new tables it would say "Sorry, unable to join."

When I gave up on my session, my "Money available" line wasn't updating while my "Money on tables" line was, so my bankroll dwindled with each table I left. I closed the client and went to log in again just to see what my actual bankroll is, and it said unable to connect.

Off to do different things with my day ...

ETA: And now the lobby is looking pretty empty after games were really healthy this morning, so I'm assuming it's a site-wide glitch-a-thon.

Credit where credit is due. The Online Championships series they've got running the entire month is a significant improvement to the short-term schedule, at least for mid-stakes. Low and micro stakes players don't get much though. Seems to me like they should do tiered buy-ins like PokerStars does. Something like if you have a $100 re-entry, also run $20 and $5 re-entries alongside. The low and micro stakes players want to play big field events as well (and I want to pad out my schedule).

I like the OC schedule. The buyins are reasonable for a special online tourney series. Now they need to add some extra schedule-padding tourneys to the daily lineup, as we've all been saying.

I'm hoping their current daily lineup is temporary while WSOP and this OC stuff is going on, and then when thats all over we get more daily MTTs and some of the old bonuses(like SNG, MTT, Fixed limit, ect) back.

Anyone else having trouble getting their location verified right now? I had just started a session and almost everyone at my tables left near the same time and then I got kicked off the tables myself. I can open the lobby (can't open any tables tho) and it looks like there's almost no games going

They would obviously prefer those people "Blast" off $1 and $5 for five minute intervals at 8.6% rake playing roulette.

I would too if I only gave a crap about the bottom line and nothing about running a quality poker site.

You're right about them pushing people towards Blast. Blast is dumb, but I don't really care that it exists. I assume WSOP is greedy. Just wish they understood how to maximize their poker ecosystem.

Greatly improving any aspect of the ecosystem will improve all aspects because of crossover. A lot of people attracted by the tournaments will play Blast (or SNGs or cash games). I mostly just play tournaments, but I occasionally hop over to cash games and will probably even play some Blast at some point.

The appeal of Blast is enough to maintain a steady playerbase without trying to squeeze it from other areas. Instead, growing those other areas will have a positive effect on Blast participation.

You obviously don't play real poker SNG's.

Its a saturday during the wsop and at 6pm theres only 1 tournament of size running and its a 100 dollar 4 max. Seriously wsop you have people wanting to give action and you are not putting out a decent tourney schedule at all. It was better on saturdays for tournaments before the merger.
