Have you tried to contact support? What about cancelling request and trying again?

Check with support. I believe there are other things you can send in other than a utility bill.

awesome thanks. I sent the documents through the poker software... I wonder if I should email support also?

Any idea how long it takes for the documents to get approved?

Awesome, thank you.

I just got approved a little over an hour ago. I want to clarify that this is the best way to withdraw your money.

I was told on the BetOnline thread that I could use Kraken as an intermediary, but some slight browsing through here has made me believe that is not the case?

So, should I look into doing:
PokerSite >> BlockChain Wallet >> CoinBase >> Bank Account?

And should I be using a different coin as opposed to Bitcoin?

And is BlockChain wallet a wallet that is stored and kept on my PC? I guess that is safer than any other wallet but for some reason, it scares me a bit.

Thanks,
wems

Just stick with bitcoin until you become an expert at crypto which you obviously are not. I don't mean to sound condescending its just safer for you this way.

A private wallet on your desktop/phone is MUCH safer than an exchange wallet. Its akin to the wallet you keep in the back pocket of your pants. Do not treat exchanges like a bank. They can and will ban your account at will and keep your money. I've heard many horror stories. Only use them to purchase crypto then immediately send to your private wallet to store.

cool, thanks. Can you recommend one or two or three of these wallets I can look into?

Also, since I have sent and received money from different poker sites to my CoinBase account could we assume that I might have compromised the account and should look into a different exchange in the future? (in case the feds wanna take my money again)

also, I don't take that as condescending.. I want my money safe and secure, I could give 2 shits about my feelings being hurt in the process lol

Electrum, Blockchain, exodus, edge to name a few. I use electrum on desktop and edge on my mobile. I used to use exodus but they have charged me ridiculous fees just to send BTC. Could've been variance but it was enough to make me go back to edge.

I would say you are fine with CB just move your crypto or money off there asap. Doesn't hurt to have other exchanges though. Gemini, Binance, Kraken are some of the popular ones.

I'm a bit overly cautious with this kind of stuff. If you can buy directly onto a site, like kraken, coinbase, Gemini, blockchain, (exchanges) etc...they have at least some level of adherence to the UIGEA.

I use exodus wallet as my intermediary one. If I have to buy, exchange > intermediary like exodus > poker site and reverse it on the way out.

Exodus is super easy to use. Just tap the coin you want, then the down arrow to re eive, copy wallet address, then go to cashier on WPN, click in SAME crypto coin as in wallwt, cursor in address box, then crtl+v and address is pasted.

Bitcoin is default and has it's own tab. Other coins can be found under the cryptos tab after you click withdrawal. Bitcoin is fairly expensive in fees and during high volume/volatility can be somewhat slow. I use litecoin. 1K transfer in btc is like $8.60 now and litecoin is 22 cents and almost always faster

It is confusing at first. If you need help, like step by step, feel free to PM me and I can do it with you, send screenshots, etc... Once you get the hang of it, super easy and takes a couple of seconds.

Thanks, y'all are great. I have traded a bunch of alt coins and stuff in the past a few years ago, but I didn't get deep enough into the total understanding of all cryptos, and I only used exchanges for them.

so I don't mind using litecoin or something else.

I had lost money on Black Friday on Absolute and only got it back a few years ago, so I also want to take this kind of precaution. That's why I was wondering if I should be careful with using coinbase now as an exchange, but I guess if I don't keep money on it they aren't going to wait until I deposit to then seize my money or some ****.. and I'm assuming it's the feds who will seize their **** and not mine like before

Out of curiosity what are all of the major concerns currently?

I withdraw to Coinbase from a poker sire and Coinbase flags the transaction and holds the funds?

I keep money in Coinbase and either they or the feds will flag my account and seize my funds?

is there also the concern that the DOJ will seize funds from exchanges like Coinbase? because they deem crypto currencies to be illegal and used only to fund illegal activites? (scares the crap out of me) Similar to what they did when they seized FTP/Pokerstars/UB/AP?

I want to take all the precautions that I can

Someone correct me if I am wrong here, but I believe it's illegal for exchanges licensed in the US to facilitate gambling transactions.

Also, I'll add another vote for Exodus. As with any crypto transactions, do a test first to make sure you have the addresses correct. Also, use Litecoin not BTC as the fees are significantly lower and its just as fast.

You dont want to do anything that will raise a red flag such as: gambling, sending money to.a known darknet drug market, money laundering etc...these red flags are enough to get your account shut down and funds possibly confiscated. And if you are dealing with 4 figure, 5 figure deposits/withdrawals why take a chance? Just use a private wallet to hold your coins. Its standard practice.

As for the DOJ I would not worry about them I think they are done going after poker sites and unless you are laundering money like Mexican drug cartels then I wouldn't worry too much.

One other thing. If you know how to use litecoin then its definitely the better option over bitcoin due to lower fees.

The only time that I recall coinbase been forced to surrender some information to an actual authority was to the IRS (Death and taxes... dead and taxes...) and of course, related to people that failed to report their digital assets trading gains: https://techcrunch.com/2017/11/29/co...vice-taxation/
Coinbase trade Cryptos and they don't (can't) follow what you do with your coins.

Here is another source might be useful: https://fortune.com/2020/10/16/coinb...w-enforcement/

Yet, the best way to have peace in your mind and heart is by getting a true wallet. Mycelium or trezor will do.

Peace!

I'm wondering what is a good way to contact support on ACR. Haven't got a reply on the standard support e-mail address. Also tried DM on Instagram with similar results. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I was thinking about getting a Bitcoin debit card(BitPay) to minimize the fees when withdrawing to my bank account. Does anybody have any experience with this? Are they any other methods from withdrawing btc then sending to bank account that’s easier or cheaper?

How bad are these fees? I feel like you'll end up paying the same or more in ATM fees. Going from exchange to bank account is usually the cheapest option there is. Cashing out for cash in person is usually 7-10% fee. Exchange to bank account is around 3-5% cheaper than in person.

Always feel bad because I do not even receive a Mail that they are proceeding.
But I ALWAYS got my money so far so I am somewhat ok giving them some days.
