Can Canadians play on Winamax, I can not get a response from customer service, I have read one place no, but the site has let me open an account but before I send them a transfer I want to make sure. I'm based in Ontario if that makes a difference

Cheers,

Cheers,
You've opened an account, and it's my understanding you have a month to send ID and Bank docs before the account is frozen

Have you done that? If so, was it approved? and if approved then surely you can play on the site

Yep, get through the verification process before you throw money at the site. They will send you a code in the mail.

From my research unless you have a euro address it's basically impossible to open up a euro bank account outside of Europe.

Will you be opening one from Canada? If so please explain how?

Thx

A Google search finds https://transferwise.com/ca/borderless/euro-account, for instance.

Then you'll know it says,

"You'll get:
European IBAN
British account number and sort code"

How will Winamax know it's location isn't in Europe? In fact, according to https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-31639262, it was "Founded by Estonians Taavet Hinrikus and Kristo Kaarman", so it probably is.

The transferwise European borderless account is based in Germany fwiw. But people have told me that winamax no longer accept it and its stated in the transferwise terms and conditions that the borderless account can't be used for any gambling transactions.

https://www.revolut.com/

Revolut may be a option you get your own european iban which is UK based and the UK is in the EU (for now). Revolut is also more open to receiving funds from gambling institutions than transferwise are.

Barring that i dont think its possible to open a real bank account in the EU if you're not a EU resident without a visit to a branch.

Notwithstanding the T&C, then the European IBAN would identify the relevant European country, no?

Yes every IBAN has 2 letters at the start which identify the issuing country. So winamax will always know where your bank is based.
