Who regulates the poker sites? Who regulates the poker sites?

I play on BOL because it is one of the only sites I can play on as a MD resident. My question is who regulates these sites? What makes them legit? Is it possible that they could be rigged and favor certain players? What regulations are in place to prevent that?

I believe BetOnline is operated by Blue High House S.A, Registration Number 620693, and is licensed and regulated by the Panama Gaming Control Board of La Republica de Panama Ministerio de Economia y Finanzas de Junta de Control de Juegos. You can read more about the Panama Gaming Control Board here. From that link
Quote:
All online games of chance must have their RNG’s tested and certified by an accredited outside authority as part of the criteria when applying for a license from them. This ensures players are treated fairly and can play in complete comfort knowing their rights are protected at these regulated online casinos.
For more details, here is a PDF of Resolution No. 065 Panama, October 25, 2002, which seems to be the regulation governing the Panama Gaming Control Board

Dave.

Spoiler:
Seriously though, depends on the site.

I guess so.

Now, I know I'm being of a bit of a jackass, but it's all meant in good fun, honestly. I think if you go back and have a look at your questions, though, they're pretty tough to answer as worded. Looks like gregorio's done a pretty good job of answering for BOL, but if you really wanted to know about all sites, there isn't one answer. And as history has shown, regulation doesn't mean a whole lot sometimes.

TBH, I wouldn't put too much stock in most regulators. I'd be more inclined to read through the different threads for each site and form my own opinions.

So I just deleted a couple of your bad beat posts from the BOL thread.

You started a thread in BQ a couple months ago about "Mental Game/Tilting"; if you haven't already, you might want to follow up on some of the suggestions offered there.

If you're just looking for somewhere to vent, we have the Poker Beats, Brags, and Variance forum for that. But the poker site discussion threads aren't the place for it.

Have you tried WPN? If not, contact them and ask.
