Ignition not accepting new players? I'm in L.A. Tried to register and got an error message. No email confirmation sent.

Try their live chat help. Might have been server issues. There should definitely be no problems accepting you.

I am struggling with performance of the ACR client. I frequently get spinning wheel (disconnect) problems, these have cost me hands/pots. I have a computer with dual 3.4 GHz i5 processors/32 GB Ram/Win10. I often find the client is using >50% of my CPU. Customer service is non-existent on ACR (they take 2 days to answer an email, no phone available). I fear I will take a big loss due to the bad client performance.

So I am pondering switching to a different poker site. I am in Washington state and trying to transition from live poker pro to online. Any suggestions?

That's weird.
I'm running the ACR client in a Windows virtual machine and allocated only 4GB and it seems fine. I doubt it's your hardware (although the 50% utilization sounds a bit high). Try doing some internet quality tests?

Possible to win on ACR without HUD? any cheap way to get HUDs or do I need to buy software? Thanks for any answers

Is it possible to win? Dunno, I play on Ignition, though have account with ACR.

All Huds cost money. To play online, you need to invest a bit, online is quite different from live (been there myself). Also, don't jump into the same stakes you played live, 25nl is equivalent to anywhere from 300nl live to 1knl live.

You have some studying to do.

I play on Ignition. BUT, i5 might complicate things. These clients tend to be built on top of browser based software, requiring more cpu than memory sometimes.

First, try this video: (realize that it is already installed, so keep some services that you want running)

If using Google Chrome, turn off synching (I have multiple profiles), hardware acceleration, tracking, etc.

If all else fails, might need new equipment, most computers at least 5 years old are running i7.

The question isn't whether you need it to win, the question is whether purchasing a HUD and learning how to use is a +EV strategy. I think it is for most if they take the time to learn the stats, build up a hand history, and apply it to their play.

I ran into my casino buddy the other day and he told me he's playing on some app a ton now, it piqued my interest as he mentioned a good volume of o8.

I cannot for the life of me remember what app it is, i thought it was "gg poker network" but that appears to not be open to US players.

For omaha and o8 players, do we basically just have ignition/bovada and WPN? And i guess SWC? Or is there some awesome app that i am missing out on here.

Personally, I started scanning Pokerbros because of a PGC thread. Did not like what I read. But not familiar with all the intricacies of apps. Kingsclubpkr doesn't seem that bad, but be careful, there is a site with close name when you google.

Not sure if related, but I've tried deposit onto ACR two seperate days now, and says deposit declined on 2 different cards. Tried to email support multiple times and says "message not sent". Geo-lockout for CA? this is weird.

Sadly, no lockout for California, I've been crushed on 3 different sites today.

try depositing via a different method (crypto)? or perhaps try the swap thread in the internet poker subforum. if you go that route, be careful and do your research before sending first to someone! there are lots of scammers.

I play on Igntion.

Why: there are a ton of bots recorded across Us facing sites. The most advanced use gto vs opponent stats. Zone poker has no opponent stats. There is no perfect gto bot in this vacuum. On Chico (betonline) they have only cleared out bots for 1knl and above, not the lower limitis I play. The bots on ACR are rampant, since they need stats.

Ignition/Bovada/Bodog does not allow these countries to play. Now, there is evidence of some bot play, but you can take advantage vs them, since they have no statistical stats on you as a player. Just don't overbluff, and try not to stack off with the semi nuts.

I've been thinking about getting into online poker to play some micro MTTs, and I'm leaning toward ACR. Are there really bots on sites and if so, is the anywhere online an American can play without bots?

Yes. Every single site has them, cheaters, etc....no site is perfect. Some are more aggressive at finding them than others. It's just a part of the game, sadly.

What game types, stakes, variants are you looking for? ACR has the highest GTDs, bit wonky on the software. Betonline has smoothest software, fastest payouts, fair traffic, low GTDs for MTTs. Bovada seems to be rife with issues since the covid boom, but anonymous play, decent schedule, fair GTDs. SWC has anemic traffic, by far the most variants offered, lower stakes typically. Pokerbros app has a bit of everything, beware of possible collusion.

Every site offers pluses and minuses, find one that is pretty close to the best options for your game/style and go with it. Like the rest of life, nothing is perfect.

a dewd

I've just looking to play NL Holdem MTT for micro stakes. I know I don't want to play anywhere that's anonymous. I've done some quick goggling on ACR and I don't think it's for me. The CEO seems a little to slimy for me. It might just come down to I'm not comfortable playing online, which kind of sucks but I can also live with that at the end of the day.

I've played on ACR for over a decade. I've never once had an issue with getting paid and while there have been problems they have all worked out. I think your risk is low basically all around. All the sites mentioned have been around for a long time.

For what you are describing in game interests, I'd recommend Betonline. Plenty of tables for you, super fast payouts, and decent CS overall, plus they have a rep here everyday.

Looking to get back into online poker. Are there any new poker sites that allow us residents to play online.

WPN, Bovnition, BOL, SWC, to name a few. There are trustworthy users in these forums who can get you some extra money for playing and give you VIP access to customer support as well. It's in your best interested to utilize them.

Games on the apps (pokerbros, etc) -- again, there are trustworthy agents in these forums and it's in your best interest to go through them as you'll be trusting your deposits/withdrawals with your agent.

Does anyone know what sites are available for a resident of the United States Virgin Islands. I'm having trouble with my search.

Search for restrictions for territories of United States or play online poker from a US territory.
