^That's brutal. That makes it very hard to make a living off poker.

Has anyone tried cashing out on Skillbet yet?

Between the two WU withdrawals i've made I also made a withdrawal to Pic club, which was my original deposit method. Then i deposited from pic club and got a deposit bonus that ended up being $15. The pic club transactions were free.

I'm trying to get back into online poker. I know a lot has happened since BF and the options for US players are slim. I'm leaning towards Lock as of right now despite the many software problems that I've read. The competition I heard is the softest around and it seems like all poker rooms at the moment have their share of problems.

I saw that Cake poker has a pretty good rakeback promotion with 36% rakeback for dealt hands, whereas Lock is 36% for contributed hands. Correct me if Im wrong but this seems like a big difference? Because of this Im thinking that maybe Cake might be a better option.

Was wondering if you guys could share some insight on which is the best site to play on. Thanks!

Lock gives the most back to the player. Prob going to be the best option for US players as of now.

Cake is monopoly money, wouldn't deposit there.

Carbon is pretty good, but the competition is pretty stiff in the cash games.

No matter where you deposit, don't expect to ever see any of your winnings as a US player.

Isnt that a bit of an exaggeration? While it may take months to receive any winnings, US players have been making successful withdrawals from Lock, etc. no?

And if Im looking to play micro-limit cash games, would America's Card Room be a good choice? I saw a lot of talk about the BBJ tables. Do you get rakeback on these tables?

America's Card Room? Does not seem bad so far. Thoughts?

Their checks are taking about 3-5 weeks at the moment. If you request a WU cashout the timeframe seems to be 2-7 days. Keep in mind that to get WU cashouts you will need to make something like 2-3 WU deposits before the cashout option is available.

The main things that have kept me away from their site are that most tables are BBJ tables and they take extra rake and the lack of traffic. I'd prefer to stick to Merge or Revolution.

I don't know too much about the site but part of the BBJ fee goes towards what they call "The Beast" (lol). It's basically a prize pool that they pay out to the players that earn the most points every month. The amount of people paid depends on the size of the jackpot.

I'm the opposite. I used to play on Bovada, Lock, and on Merge, but left them because of horrible cash out problems. Really, what's the point of playing online poker for real money if it takes you months to get your money and the checks have a good chance of bouncing? Traffic doesn't matter, software doesn't matter, slightly smaller rake doesn't matter.....nothing else matters compared to fast reliable cash outs if you're an American player.

Try Americas Cardroom for yourself. Make a small deposit and play there to make a real decision about the site. That's what I did and now I feel that it's the best American accepting site I've played on yet. Yes their rake is only slightly higher but it's because they have 2 progressive jackpots you can win. Some players don't like this, but most do. And if you're worried about a few pennies per pot you win, then you're not really playing poker. You're just grinding away by the hair of your chin. ACR's traffic is improving all the time and always has several thousand players on it. People that tout Merge or Lock brag as if they've got Pokerstars or Partypoker traffic lol. IT'S ALL ABOUT CASH OUTS.

The BBJ fees can drastically cut into a SSNL players winrate and it's much worse for microstakes players. I will say that once the BBJ reaches a certain number it can be +EV to play. I'm not sure what the magic number is though.

The Revolution skin I play on has 5 day or less WU and check cashouts so I'm pretty satisfied with cashout speeds. I probably will give America's Cardroom a shot when (if) I get to SSNL since I hear the games are good.

I like the graduated rake at PPN. Heads up tables 3% rake. tables with 4 to 6 players 4%. other tables 5%

Do you mind me asking what revolution skin you play on? And also what is SSNL?

I have heard of 3 online sites in the U.S. Lock, Bovada, and I think the last one is Merge. I have seen some poker pro's tweeting about playing at Lock. Does anyone know if these sites are legit, safe, and can you get your money in and out safely and securely. Thanks

Lock is a skin that is on the Revolution network. Bovada is a site that you can play on. Merge is a network that has skins that you can play on. The network usually controls the policies and cashouts although some skins have their own cashier which makes things safer and usually quicker imo. The skins are the actual site that you play on.

As a microstakes player i would resent having part of the rake i pay going for an event i cannot or will not play in. Too many sites treat the microstakes players as a necessary inconvenience to be merely tolerated. New online players are mostly microstakes players and that is where the vast majority of newbies belong. I don't want to hear that i'm not a real poker player because i play microstakes. If that is the way a poker room acts then i would rather play at a room that values my business.

When there were several networks to play at they valued our businesss much more. online poker has become monopolistic. that diminishes the power of consumers. Players don't want to pay rake. if poker players demanded lower rake and were willing to change poker rooms to get it then the rooms might decide to lower their rake rates.

I would like to see the poker rooms become more competitive about withdrawal fees. this hurts the microstakes players the most because it is a bigger percentage of their profits. Companies cut checks everyday as part of their cost of doing business. Why should a withdrawal check be any different?
