Carbon poker is the choice I would go with.

I'm a NJ resident klorg and did get my money in Lock poker (and Cake a couple years ago).. I lost the only buy-in on Lock though so I don't have any personal experience with cashouts. Just know there is risk, I've seen threads with people having bad experiences. Read up, then make a decision.

Re: Where can US players play? (June Update)(June 26 - latest OP edit)
Dunno if this is the right thread for my question, feel free to move it, but anyway:
Let's say a bills gets through regarding legislation of online poker in the U.S. And that we by 2013 or 2014 have a few online poker sites where Americans are allowed to play.
Can we expect Americans to be able to play vs rest of the world (Europeans, Asians etc) at once, or is that further down the road? Or is that not even a possibility for a foreseeable future (say, atleast 5-10 years)?
Any thoughts or predictions from people with some insight?
Thanks

Will U.S. players be able to play with non-U.S. players?
The BB does have a provision requiring licensed sites to check the location of players to ensure that they are in a jurisdiction where online poker is legal at the time of play. This provision does not specify that the player must be located only in the U.S.
The BB provisions leave the door open for foreign players and combined international player pools. This may be implemented over time through compacts between State licensing agencies and foreign licensing authorities. Commerce will probably weigh in with regulatory oversight as well.

That's a link to the FAQ in the Poker Legislation Forum. BB=Barton Bill. Until we see a Reid bill we can't answer your question for sure, but I'd hope it allows ROW players.

You both get the same hole cards and play against computer players. The person who wins the most (or loses the least) wins. Essentially its up to you to avoid chasing, when to build pots etc.

Then it can't be done yet. There are some sites that will take on US players but its still risky as it can be shutdown at any moment.

Wired money to Lock yesterday.. If no one picks it up is it possible to get it refunded? Don't really care if they rob me, its the price you pay these days... but wondering if Western Union will return the money if its not received in a certain period?

Tournament Options (US player)
I am not sure if this is the right place. But I want the opinion from those who play small-stake MTT and are knowledgable on the subject.
For US players, which site/network do you guys think offers the best tournaments and any reasoning behind your pick would be appreciate.

Re: Tournament Opinions
I have only tried Cake so far and generally speaking the $1-$5.50's are ok....solid play and a couple good hands will get you through the 150-200 person fields right up to the bubble...(much easier IMO than PStars was with 500+ in every trny) the deep trbo's are my favorite but you need to keep a solid eye on the blinds...one minute you will be comfortable at 50K with 1K/2K blinds and 10 minutes later its a shove-fest...all in all play is ok. I am going to also tinker with Carbon and PokerHost as both of those sites seem better, more options, but unsure of the trny's yet.....although I think I will eventually play all 3 so as not to be pegged to easily, I noticed when I got my pokertracker working I immediately had hundreds of hands on many opponents, so I think bouncing around a bit is the best idea. I also want to see who pays the most reasonably....I have been awaiting a Cake cashout for 8+ weeks now.

Trying to fathom any question I could ask him where I would even care what his opinion was....biggest loser in US history and an embarrassment of global proportions.

Yeah I cancelled the Lock transaction. Was getting no communication from them. Sent it to Bovada which seems like a promising site.

Ouch, $50 wire fee? Paying 11% to cash out sucks.

Where can NY players play? Carbon and RPM are blocked for NY. Anyone have a list of ones that accept NY?

Re: Where can US players play? (June Update)(June 26 - latest OP edit)
Bovada takes forever to cash out to you. I requested a cash out from them in Jan this year, about 6 weeks later I finally got the check. IT BOUNCED. So then I had to wait about another 2.5 months to get another check for the same money. It cleared. Who wants to play online poker when it takes that long to get your money?? I had similar payout delays with Lock so I stopped playing at those two sites a few months ago.
