So is Juicy Stakes dead then? When I log on, no games are going. Technically, they do accept U.S. players, but it seems that it is no longer a viable option for U.S. players.

The only place that allow New York is Intertops on Revolution at this point. Here is their support thread at 2+2.

Thinking about making the switch from Carbon to Pokerhost. Understand both are Merge though but the later has faster withdrawals?

Pros / Cons please?

C/A:

Pro: Better rewards, promotions, value for high volume players

Con: Only checks for US players

PH:

Pro: Lifetime VIP appeals to those that might rake less. Fast WU/MG withdrawals

Con: Vig. Less promo $$$

Both have exactly the same cash games/MTTs

Also there is a few more states on the Not Allowed to play list on Poker Host than there is on the rest of Merge.

Poker Host are not able to accept players from the following Country France, Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, Nigeria, North Korea, North Sudan, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Yemen and US States due to network restrictions: New York, Kentucky, Washington DC, Maryland, Washington State, Virginia, Missouri, Louisiana, Utah and Hawaii.
It's not as many as I originally thought, but it's a couple more.

Since our merge games are dead, and the community is spreading out. Lets at least keep up with where the players are going.

I'll play merge, if there is a game going and it is reasonable

Bovada, most of my play here. Bad rake - soft games. Lots of action, you can play most of the time. You know the rest of the downside.

Seals, tiny community but cash outs are great and the rake is the best by far. If you can play 3 way or HU it is very profitable but the games are tough to get going.

Winning ? no action as far as I know but maybe others can get a community started.

I mostly play on Bovada(FL100-400) right now because of cashout speed. On Winning, I'm willing to start some LHE action on stakes up to FL50 because I have some old rakeback that I recieved after I cashed out there. I can possibly deposit more there if we get some daily action with some occasional FL200-400.

Yea, I'm moving all my friends and our clients and stakes without action to Bovada for LHE.

WPN matched the rake we got set up at Merge last year (which, after all our work, simply ended up being a copy of PokerStars limit rake heh). However, as a LHE player, I never get action at WPN. Maybe 6 games in the last 8 months

Revolution's LHE traffic got hosed by Lock/Cake's implementation of Fair Play Technology.

As a NY'er my only options are:

Merge
Winning
Seals

I am not ready to make the bitcoin plunge yet, and winning has no lhe traffic so I am royally screwed unless games start to take off at Winning or MErge can rebound.

Merge doesn't allow new accounts from NY... Players are grandfathered in that are already there however.

Your mileage may vary. I have read of NY'ers who have been able to get accounts. It doesn't hurt to try.

From personal experience, it's been < 5%. And quite frankly, I think it's a flaw in their system.

I got my withdrawal from Bovada by courier in exactly 10 days and check did not bounce. I am jealous of action picking up in Nevada such as Ultimate Poker. I thinking of renting an apartment and dropping a cell phone off in Nevada since I live in Texas. Lol!!! Probably won't do it. Seems like Nevada Commission is serious. Maybe I'll move to Vegas!

Well I can't agree that Merge is loosing its community. Carbon is still a strong and reputable skin.

As for Bovada - I think you are right. It is a great option for those who are not against anonymous tables.

Seals: it is risky to invest big sums in bitcoins because of their instability. So I think there is no way for big deposits on Seals.

WPN is really the best in withdrawals. I actively play at BlackChip and also played at ACR and I can say that these rooms has the biggest potential among all mentioned above.

Hello, my apologies if this is a strange question, but I have been out of the game for a while and I am not able to find a straight answer.

I see on this thread that says:
NJ: Bovada + Merge + PPN + Revolution + WPN

I live in NJ, does that mean that I can now, legally, play real money games at these establishments?
I heard Chris Christy passed some laws recently that affected online playing, but I thought that those are not in yet. I'd appreciate any feedback you can give me.

AFAIK online poker has never been illegal in any state but Washington, so no laws needed to be passed.

It was great as of a week or so ago, but recently it looks like Lock fenced off all their games.

Hopefully it's a minor hiccup and has something to do with the fairplay tweaking, but who knows.

I'm looking to play on a U.S site again soon. I played on Bovada about six months ago but can't stand the 4 table limit + don't much like their software or anonymous seating. What are my best options if my priorities are cashout speed / reliability, tournament/sng volume, and software in that order? I guess I hear that WPN (blackchip) is best for cashout but I think their volume is pretty low? I also hear Carbon's cashout times are just getting worse and worse.
