I had the same thing happen to me (at WPN). I had to go to live chat and send my information while in the chat and get verified in real-time, even then they couldn't figure out why my withdrawal page was hanging. They tried to get me to install the latest version of java and flash, no dice, and then they were like, n/m I fixed something over here, and then I was able to withdraw. Took about 20 minutes or so to get it sorted out.

Re: Unofficial Bodog/Bovada/Ignition Thread

Does anyone know if Bovada, Ignition, or Bodog accept players from NY state? I know ignition was not letting me last year but I thought I heard it changed. I did just try to sign up for Bovada and it seems like Iím blocked because of my location, but maybe Ignition is different now.

I'm good with that. Rec oriented site now. Their choice. Plenty of bells and whistles at other sites. Still best U.S. facing site software and soft fields.

Re: Where can US players play? - First post updated Mar '18

Hey guys,

is there any development in the US in terms of something similar like zoom games? Ignition is the only one but is anonymous right?

Are the zoom games on Ignition beatable or overwhelmed with regs?

Whats the best platform for NL100 cash games at the moment?

Thanks
Benjo

Hey Benjo,

Ignition/Bovada is the only network available to players from the US where they have decent traffic in their Fast Fold variant(Zone). BetOnline/Sportsbetting.ag does offer non-anonymous Fast Fold(Boost), but it only runs at 10nl currently.

I haven't played Zone lately, but unless the player pool changed drastically I do believe the games should still be beatable. Because it's the middle of Summer the games may have slightly less recs than most times during the year. I'm not sure how you could accurately gauge that in anonymous games.

The 4 main networks for online US cash games would be:
Ignition/Bovada

BetOnline/Sportsbetting.ag

Global Poker

Winning Poker Network(ACR, Black Chip, True)

I think Ignition/Bovada has the most traffic. I hate their software so you'll find me at BetOnline which has good software and a nice mix of recs and regs. Global Poker has a good amount of recs, but high rake, no tracking and recently lost PayPal as a deposit and withdrawal method. WPN has the most regs, but they offer rakeback and some of the best rewards for high volume players.

Different people prefer different things so I can't say definitively what's the best platform for you. Plenty of players out there play at multiple sites. Try them out and see what you like.

Ain't no way in hell I'm a disappoint you, except for what I'm about to say. Merge cash games suck from the point of low volume, the repeated reports of bots, and, of course the past banning/table restriction of winning players. Outside of that, all is well. Have a good day.

I actually don't have any new private message notifications. I'm not sure if you have that feature enabled for your account with your low post count or if you sent it to someone else. Contact a mod if you can't pm yet. They may be able to help you out.

As far as my preference for BetOnline over the rest...

-I really like the software. I've had less major issues there than probably any site I've ever played at regularly and I've played online for over a decade now.

-I hate anonymous games. It requires you to trust the network to weed out the cheaters and not cheat themselves. History has shown us why this is a bad idea.

-Even moreso I hate Ignition/Bovadas client that often has annoying little bugs and looks really outdated. You can't even chat.

-I like being able to track mine and my opponents' long-term history. I enjoy the metagame against players I have a history with. Even more importantly it allows me to weed out the cheaters/bots easily.

-I've seen BOL boot out a good amount of cheaters/bots over the last few months.

-The games are plenty soft for me to profit.

-Global doesn't allow commercial database tracking, but how can we be certain they're stopping people from using custom built trackers for private use?

-I believe Global has the highest rake of all of the sites I mentioned.

-I'm not entirely confident Global will remain as soft with the loss of Paypal.

-I've never felt fully comfortable with their sweepstakes loophole and them only having one transaction method. At least Paypal was nice where you could get money on and off quickly, but it was never a good thing to have only one way to get your money out.

I like making money playing poker just like the next guy, but I also want to enjoy my time playing and know if I'm playing with a cheater. At BetOnline I enjoy my time and when someone's cheating I'm pretty quickly aware of it and able to properly report it. Lots of traffic and soft games only mean so much when you're not enjoying it. It's not a perfect network by any means. I've bitched about numerous things in their unofficial thread over the last 2 years, but in my eyes they beat the alternatives in many areas and it's a good place to play overall.

This is just my opinion and I believe everyone should try out all of the sites to see what they prefer best.

Really appreciated! I will try BOL as I'm in the same boat related to enjoying games and long term tracking and hate anonymous tables as well :-)

Will jump right into NL100 and see how it goes...

It appears you do not have much online experience. I would recommend that you not jump directly into 100NL if you value your money. Online games are tougher than live games. If you can beat 500NL live at a good clip, maybe try 100NL, but even then, I'd recommend starting at 50NL to cut your financial risk in half while simultaneously acclimating to online games.

Remember, each site plays/feels differently (not due to RNG **** like the rigtards say, but because of player pool differences).

I disagree. The Bad Beat Jackpot tables start at 100nl and the jackpot is over 500k. I think all amateurs should make their way to the 100nl tables on the Chico Network and they should soon consider the 200nl tables as well, but not yet.

I'm currently located in Texas. I was able to play some ACR yesterday and they had some nice guarantees. What other US based sites have the best MTT schedule w/ solid guarantees? Thanks in advance.

Any suggestions for Pennsylvania? I'm looking at maybe just one reputable site with the intention of playing MTTs with a small bankroll of maybe $100 initial deposit, if not less.

Would it be possible to freeroll my way to a bankroll?

After WPN(ACR, Black Chip, True) I believe most consider Ignition/Bovada to have the next best MTTs available to US residents.

All of the sites that have any decent amount of traffic offer some MTTs. You may actually find some good ones at BetOnline/Sportsbetting.ag, Global Poker, Intertops/Juicy Stakes, and even at Carbon.

I don't believe any of these sites restrict Texas or Pennsylvania, but I would check if anything changed at these sites regarding Pennsylvania first due to the new legislation in that state.

Most of these sites offer a New Player Freeroll and other additional freerolls all at varying frequencies. With a little effort I'm sure you could at least score a few bucks.

I saw somewhere that ACR was not recommended due to some cheating or something. Am I thinking correctly or is it something else?

Also, is it possible to sign up and wait for the freerolls without deposting any money or do you have to deposit to play?

There is a varying amount of cheating taking place at almost every site when it comes to collusion, bots, etc. MTTs are likely the safest form of poker to avoid being affected by it. I primarily play cash games and not MTTs, but if I were to play MTTs regularly I'd certainly consider the WPN sites first. Their main issue regarding an "MTT loophole" where people late regged and stalled their way into the money has been patched.

I think it is possible to sign up at some of the sites and just hop in the freerolls, but I think most sites will require you to make a deposit before you can withdraw anything.

It's clear every one of these sites are sketchy as bone, and should be treated as fun only. Anyone treating this money as real is a bit of a rube, it seems. They are clearly making it very difficult to remove your cash

Shazamm! Carbon was listed as an afterthought among those sites. I've cashed out close to 40K from there over the years. And I'm just a small fish. So much for them making it difficult to remove your cash. Congrats on your graduation from the school of donald trump.

That is just not true. If you have your information up-to-date with these sites and you use cryptocurrency you can expect to receive your funds in your wallet within 24-48hrs most times. Getting money on and off is not a big hurdle these days. Take a look at the Deposit/Withdrawal threads for these sites, people are getting their money.
