Marylander here too.

Do not go to Lock.

BetOnline is an option. Not very good software but we can at least play.

I sent BO a laundry list of improvements the software needed and I got a timely response saying they'd pass it to the dev team - so maybe they intend to get better - maybe they were just bsing me.

I've tried registering on Cake (Intertops) and they don't take Marylanders.

Or anyone in the US

As I stated above, it's invitation only. You have to know someone already playing there, who has the ability to give out invitations, actually give you one, in order to get set up

No, it can still be fixed (prob take a business day or two) assuming you know someone at Intertops who has the ability to give out invitations... but ideally you'd have contacted that person before trying

Revo showing as a place for NY players to play, but having tried register at Juicy today apparently they aren't accepting registrations from NY state anymore. When I signed up my account was locked, support said no registrations from NY. Perhaps Im missing something though, not sure.

Dear Xxxx,

We certainly appreciate your interest in our Poker room.

We regret to inform you that we are currently unable to accept customers residing in the State of New York.

Thank you for your kind understanding.

Best Regards,

Ryann

EDIT: well looking at the first page now revo is no longer listed under NY unless I was just seeing it wrong before?

I'm from MD too. Have been playing at Lock for 3 years and was lucky to withdraw everything before they became a total scam.

Playing at BO now but I heard a lot of positive words about Intertops. So my question is about the invitational system.

Do I have to find somebody who can give a "guarantee" to Intertops administration about my personality or he will be able to give the invitation without contacting their support?

I am not sure how it works. I went through an affiliate and was asked a lot of questions by them before they gave me an invite. They don't give invites to just anybody anymore.

Has anyone been recently been paid (within the past month or so) by Lock Poker? Anyone know what is going on with that site?

They were never supposed to be willy nilly with them in the first place!

Intertops by invitation, Juicy Stakes no go.

I have no idea what a vein account is, but no, bwin and bet365 do not accept US players.

depends on your definition of 'good,' i guess

there are several sites with decent traffic who will pay you your money when you ask for it. some of them even have rakeback and some of them even have player to player transfers.

Im looking to get back into the Us online poker scene. What is a good site to play on that will accept us deposits and pay people out in a timely manner, not 8 months down the road. I was looking at one time at lock, but I know that's become a bad option. Can someone let me know some trustworthy sites that I should look into. I was thinking Americas cardroom or bovada.

ACR (WPN) is decent enough depending on your state. I'm in MD so I can't do deposits directly but I can get P2P transfers, so I prefer them because it works with HM2.

Bovada is annoying as hell to me because everyone is completely anonymous. You are whatever seat # you sit at - or in a tournament whatever # you register. So you have no idea who's who - and then you get people being absolute jackasses because they're anonymous.

There's also the bitcoin market which is starting to grow - Seals with Clubs seems to be favorite. I'm preparing to move some mB there m'self cause there is a staking support group there that I'm curious to learn more about.

I was recently 9 tabling $50NL on Carbon Full Ring. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but it seems like someone with your username or similar was playing, too. To me, the toughness of games equates to about what $200NL FR was on Stars before Black Friday. I get about 15% rakeback through the VIP program.

The upside is that:
- There are enough games to play
- Carbon's software is VERY good - easily the best American serving room
- You can take notes on players - real poker no anonymity
- You can use a HUD - imo real ONLINE poker
- There are fish and recreational players

The downside is that:
- Rake is high, rakeback is low
- Games are tougher - LOT of the same regs and many of the fish today seem better than the fish of yesterday
- Although there are games to play, there are NOT a TON of games to play and you'll want to adjust your schedule around peak hours or pick up more games like 6max, PLO, and the like or just settle for less games
- Games max out at lower stakes - for NLHE, I don't see a lot of action at $100NL and higher and I suspect when it runs, it's probably not the juiciest games

I want to ask the members about Carbon. Do you consider it reliable enough to deposit about $1000 there? I just want to start grinding NL25/NL50 there.

Personally I like Bovada cause it equalizes all the players due to this anonymity. So the "fat cats" can't use their huge databases which most of them just bought...

And I'm really not sure about the future of bitcoins since there are more and more criminal cases with this virtual currency. Just new: http://business.time.com/2014/01/27/...ey-laundering/
So it is not for serious players cause it could disappear in a moment.

That's an interesting read - I got through about 3/4 of the criminal complaint and not having read one in that great detail, was quite an education.

I wouldn't indict all of bitcoin based on this, though. The Silk Road stuff is going to be continuing on I'd think for a while...more revelations, stuff coming out. But hasn't seemed to impact the value of Bitcoins much - still hovering around $800 for one BTC.

Do your research - always key.

Which site would be the best for SNGs and MTTs currently?

There is no "best site." There is only the "best plan for you." In order to find that out one must ask:

What game(s) do you play?

What stake(s) do you play?

Do you prefer soft games?

Do you prefer high rewards?

Do you like leaderboards?

Do you mass table or play fewer tables at higher stakes?

How do you like your cashouts?

*insert 20 other questions*

As of February 1st, 2014, which internet poker site is the easiest place to cash out from?

I'm looking into making a deposit soon, but I've heard some horror stories on month-long withdrawal timings. The only two mentioned were Bovada and Carbon. Not sure which one makes it easiest to deposit + withdraw.

Thanks
