I am currently playing on Sportsbetting.ag but it does not work with PT4. Hell I cannot even get hand histories on SB.

Solutions?

No bitcoin sites please.
See Pocket 5s- Maryland Players. Or call ACR. You could also use search feature for this thread. Maryland players on ACR.

From ACR Website . . . their End User Agreement:

1.4 Residents of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, State of Maryland, State of New Jersey, State of Delaware, State of Nevada or Washington State may not download and use the Software for any purpose. No license is granted hereunder to any User located within any jurisdiction where such offer of a license by ACR or use by such person thereof shall violate any applicable laws.

Obviously not comfortable assuming a chat with a tech support person at ACR trumps the clear language of their EUA. Appears to me an easy way to run into a cash out issue.

Still looking for a site that also works with PT4.

OK. That was my second suggestion. I've heard you can lead a horse to water, but can't make him drink. That's why I made two more suggestions. Now, if it's too much trouble to click on Pocket Fives- Maryland players, then my third suggestion was search this thread for Maryland players on ACR. That would have lead you to posts on March 12th and 16th of this year. I tried.

Global poker seems like best US site right now, based on software and player pool

I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you there. Global is a very niche site that, in my opinion, is on even shakier legal ground than the offshore US poker sites.

The only offshore poker site that is US-friendly that runs mixed games is SWC Poker. You're not going to find a ton of action. Though they do have a 12 game mix and everything below that as well.

If you have proof of address and a passport scan, you can play on the offshore poker sites that are US-friendly. You can even set this up before you come to America. You will not be playing on any regulated US sites from New York however.

The three largest networks are Pai Wang Luo, Winning Poker Network, Chico Poker Network.

Bitcoin is not required, it is simply recommended because it's faster, cheaper, and works 100% of the time. You won't get into trouble legally for playing online poker, it's not against the law. However, using the US banking system for checks, wires, etc from online poker sites is more precarious and works less often than bitcoin, hence it's recommendation.

Hey guys, I'm a recreational player, probably a break even player overall. I am an avid HU PLO and I haven't played online in a few months. I used to only play on Bovada, and now on Ignition. To my dismay I've now learned of the recent changes that Igntiion made to the cash games by removing the lobby. I dont get it but whatver. It seems as though HU PLO is dead now. What other U.S friendly sites are good for HU PLO? Thanks. Is HU PLO dead now online? Thanks. Appreciate your responses.

Most HU online is "dead" compared to the old days. My advice would be to try the larger networks and work your way down the list. Most HU afficianados that I know load up multiple sites each time they sit down to play. They load up 2-4 tables at each site and wait for games. You may need to do the same, not sure. Ignition was the largest site. Next down the line are Winning Poker Network, Chico Network, Horizon Network, Grand Network, etc.

Only two US sites have "zoom" type tables. Ignition and Intertops. I don't think the games run on Intertops, so that leaves Ignition. You should be able to register using your passport and proof of address.

What is the best site for MTT's... Anything similar to the good old days of a 5$ entry with like 10000 players where you can turn 5$ into a few thousand?

Side question: In your opinion, if they made poker more accessible in the United States, do you think online poker will ever get back to the old days where Chris Moneymaker won the WSOP and the poker world blew up or do you think this damage is permanent?

Is this where I download ignition for USA players? This is the top link that comes up when I search:

https://www.ignitioncasino.eu/poker

I ask because:
1. It doesn't seem to install. It runs through the installation but then it seems like it dies at the end perhaps when it is trying to run after the program is installed.
2. The download link says .eu which makes me think it's for European players.

If not what's the download link? And also since I will never deposit more than probably $100 online, is this the best place for low limit, .10-.25, .25-.50 NL and also PLO?

No, there is nothing like that in the US market. The two largest networks, Pai Wang Luo and Winning Poker Network have MTT schedules with similar monthly levels of guaranteed tournaments. Thus, they are your best bet.

The golden era has passed. I'm hoping for a silver age one of these days however. Maybe an attractive woman will win the WSOP ME this year.... that might do it

That looks like the right URL. There are very few .com sites that service the USA because the USA can seize .coms and gambling sites don't want the risk. Thus, most offshore sites that service the US use .ag or .eu domains.

If it doesn't install, my advice to you is to uninstall it as best you can. Update your windows, flash, java, quicktime, silverlight, etc. Reboot the computer. Try to reinstall the Ignition poker client.

With regard to whether it's "the best" site, that is subjective. It is the largest of the "offshore poker sites" available to Americans. It is softer than many of the other options. So many people would agree that it's best. Others may note that it has no rakeback and very little VIP rewards, no heads up display, and is anonymous and say that it is not "the best". It all depends on what you're looking for really.

Thanks. After windows updated it says I have an unregistered version or something so it looks like I have bigger problems because I bought win 7 years ago so I guess I'll have to reinstall that first.

Like many others, making a living online stopped after black Friday and I was just looking for the site that has the most small games so I can screw around a few times a year. I would just be interested in playing where I can find a selection of low stakes games.

Regular SNGs don't get much traffic there. Most of their traffic is concentrated in Jackpot SNG format. JPs are 3man hypers with variable prize pools. They also run "on demands" which end up being 2-3 table games.

I'd suggest that you simply pick one of the larger offshore poker sites. The larger they are, the more games they run. As such you should be able to find plenty of low stakes NLHE and PLO unless you're a mad multi-tabler. Look into offshore poker sites hosted on the Pai Wang Luo Network, Chico Network, and Winning Poker Network for best results.

The Carbon/Merge Network may also provide a viable alternative. Though it has lost a significant amount of the traffic it once hosted, it provides the selection of games and the best software of the US facing sites. And for the last 15 months, their cash outs are on par with all other sites. See their Deposit/Withdrawal and Discussion Threads in this forum.

Thanks . Ignition doesn't show what games are running apparently? That's annoying. Credit card deposit was a breeze.

Correct. Ignition doesn't show full games. Along with anonymous tables, it's how they protect their recreational players from the evil sharks.
