I flopped trips once on a rainbow. Called his donk bet bc I didn't want to scare him off (the trap your referring to). Rag turn card but made backdoor flush possible. He went all in w/ air on that rag turn card. No flush draw, no trips, no pocket pair, just air. 5NL is 5NL. The difference is if I raised the flop with trips, a bovada villain would call while the WPN Villian folds. If you lay the trap, WPN villain still makes a fishy play later. They are much tighter at WPN so you have to adjust to it but it's still very exploitable
I actually think I'm increasing more than I did on bovada b/c the dealing of cards doesn't seem as dirty. Bovada loved to have sets vs sets, QQ vs KK vs AA. All kind of combinations to induce shoving on the river.
I'm very satisfied with WPN. My only complaint will most likely be solved when I run the virtual box on my mac. I don't use a hud and I'm still winning. I may get one soon because I'd be interested in an in depth analysis of my play style.
As far as bit coin, I read an article that said bit coin is just an experiment so a person using it should be ok with losing any money if that experiment were to fail. I just used my credit card to deposit on WPN. I get 2% back on every dollar spent. Even depositing into poker sites, lol.
Yeah Bovada definitely seemed to have a lot more coolers and action flops, which I'm sure is just variance, but eh some of the stuff I saw on zone made me cranky. I don't think it's rigged but I also don't think they tried too hard when they programmed the RNG.
All in on turn with air on a paired board...yeah that's a great move lol. I raised in CO with AA, folded around to BB who 3-bet me. Given how aggressive these guys are, and most of their 3 bets vs. BTN and CO from blinds are bluffs, I decided to flat to keep his junk in. He then checks the flop, I bet 1/2 pot and he ships it over me. I insta call and he flips over QQ. Maybe he would have GII if I just 4-bet him pre but yeah lol I don't see how worse calls him in that spot...only two pairs, sets and KK-AA will call that ship. As you said, 5 NL is 5 NL, 10 NL is 10 NL, and so on.
The PC version is superior by far...I think you'll definitely enjoy playing on WPN a lot more once you virtual box / parallels / whatever it.
Bit coin is basically just a nice way to withdraw without having to pay any collection fees on checks. Depositing isn't a big issue. I use Circle as an intermediary, so I keep the funds in USD anyway, so I don't have to worry about bitcoin value fluctuations. Still, even without bit coin, they're just as good as Bovada on cash outs from what I've read and as long as bitcoin exists they're far superior.
