I will not tolerate any jokes or serious comments about destroying online poker; particularly from a guy who's screen name is Focus On The Family (that organization is bronze age nonsense). It's one thing to joke about cancer and starving children, but don't F with online poker, that's just not cool.

I'll take that as a yes.

BTW, the screen name is obviously part of the joke. I hardly think 6 posts like that in over 5 years makes the account owner a douche, but I suppose you're entitled to your opinion.

Anyway, sounds like a good candidate for your ignore list, as I doubt you're going to like any of his posts.

Okay, instead of scrolling through all 169 pages, now that there are a couple sites that are regulated, do you have to live in that state to play - or are there ways around that?

First off, I'd suggest changing your posts/page setting from the terrible default of 15. Secondly, even though I can see why you'd come to this thread, it's actually not the best place for info about the US-regulated sites - you'll find more in-depth answers in the NJ and DE threads, as well as the sponsored subforums for the different sites.

But to answer your question, no, you don't have to live in the state (at least not in NJ or NV), but you do have to be in the state when you're playing there.

As answered in another thread, they haven't accepted players from Nevada for some time now.

un less you live in Nj,DE, or NV the only regulated site you can play on in other states is Liveace. but Liveace is only good for people that dont mind only playing cash games with stakes lower than .25/.50

Sorry for an x-post, but I haven't really followed Poker since before BF...

Assuming I'm looking to do my first foray online since about 2010, and I'm mostly interested in playing micro-to-low stakes PLO and NLH cash (.05/.10 to .25/.50 to start), is Carbon/Merge probably the best bet? Especially once VIP/rakeback is factored in?

What's the next best option for MTTs with synchronized breaks?
It appears that Carbon/Aced do not offer Nevada anymore.

The next best schedule with sync'd breaks is WPN (ACR, BCP, True)

1) Merge no longer has flat rakeback, everything is VIP

2) How many tables do you want to play simultaneously?

I've never been comfortable playing more than 6; 2-4 is more likely.

Black Chip Poker is what you're looking for.

Maryland is listed, so I assume it is still not allowed? I've been away from poker for awhile.

He casually plays 25NL. I don't think sending him to Beast tables is the best choice for him as he will never recoup the Beast contributions.

There will be more fish per table on Bovada than on WPN due to their vastly different business models.

Carbon and Aced do not accept Nevada (nor anyone on the Jazette partition). PokerHost however does still accept Nevada residents.

Is Pokerhost still blocking some winning accounts from continuing to play?

Yes BCP is reg infested. How would you know if Bovada wasn't?

Just an assumption based on playing on both Merge and Bovada - I noticed a huge difference in terms of action.

Which sites offer the best freerolls to get started if you don't want to deposit? Does Bovada offer any?
