Legit? It is very hard for all to guarantee that the room is legit accepting US players.
Safe? Well these 3 rooms I've mentioned - they all have good reputation working for many years.
Withdrawals? There are separate threads here about each room and their cashiers.
All rooms have their pros and cons but these are the best from what we have today.
I've quit all 3 of those sites due to very long cash outs and bounced checks.

I am looking to start playing online poker, and unsure of where to play. Many people seem to concerned about rake and player traffic, etc, but all I care about is the safety of my money. So my question is where is the best place to play if all I care is that I will not lose my money unfairly to the site and where I can actually get my winnings back, no matter how long they may take. That's all I care about right now. I will be playing in Missouri so I am choosing between bovada, lock, ppn, and america's cardroom. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated and remember, I only care that the site does not take my money unfairly and that I can actually cash out by any means. Thank you.

There is no safe site for Americans to play tbh.

I realize that with any site I choose there will be a very real possibility of lost money/bounced checks but I am asking which is the BEST site in this regard.

I don't know enough about PPN, but otherwise I would say ACR, Bovada, Lock in that order.

ACR took a direct US government hit and kept on going it appears. They're also a large sportsbook I believe and their payments are the most reliable out of any site you mention.

Bovada has been around awhile and has a large book, and users see reports of bounced checks (indicating processor issues) from time to time, but scandal and major issues appear to be few and far between (poker room policy views aside).

Lock, you can take a look at their sponsored forum here on 2p2, but they've had a lot of issues, both prior to and since moving from Merge to Cake, where they are now the flagship brand. From the "fake" 10-20% advertised bonuses to taking weeks to pay non US players to player bounties taking weeks to be paid and having to be manually requested, to deposits being charged twice, US cashouts taking a lot longer than their marketing assured players, there are just a lot of issues there it appears.

Unless I've missed something, I would think that Intertops belongs pretty high up in that list as well.

So far so good with Skillbet if you can make the slight adjustment to style of play.

I thought they were open on referrals or recs from existing players, but I can't remember where I read that (probably somewhere on this site).

The guy asking the question thought said he was from Missouri and outlined what options he was considering.

I would agree though, that if Intertops were a choice, that it would be the top choice, above all the sites the user listed.

Just try ACR or Truepoker.
Both rooms have WU as a deposit option. Moreover they will reimburse any sending fees as long as you send US$300 or more.
Not true....before Ebay bought Paypal I made lots of withdraws from Paradise Poker to my Paypal account

Well, early 2002 might as well be never for most online poker players. And for the purposes of this conversation, it really is.

I think it will take longer but some states might come on sooner than others.

I think Lock is the best site around for US players. Been playing on there for a couple years. Have made several withdrawals, never any problems other than it takes a few weeks for them to send the money.
