Hi,

I would be very grateful if you could have a serious
reconsider about this
harsh decision, I must stress that if Poker Stars are truly
concerned about my alleged "gambling problem", I consider playing poker on
any other site a form of gambling as poker stars are the market leader and
have the market share of players, all other sites I play on have dried up
and simply offer no value to recreational players anymore, Pokerstars have
made improvements to allow players like me who took too many risks to enjoy
poker at a comfortable level with the added incentive of hitting that
unlikely score (spin'n'go etc.) Full Tilt reopened my account and I believe
you are the same company at the end of the day, so I would very much
like a second opinion on this. Four years is a long time ago, I don't even
remember back
then.

Many thanks,

It has recently come to our attention that you have been previously barred from PokerStars under your user name "xxx".

We are applying similar policies and procedures to Full Tilt such that they will be following similar protocol as that of PokerStars. Please note that our systems will not allow players wth the issue on one site to play on the other.

Please come back to us when you resolve your issue on PokerStars account "xxx".

## I am missing some emails after this, there was some dispute on receiving my money, also if I recall correct I was in middle of a tournament (and running deep) when they blitzed my account, thus prompting me to get my stars account back because I would rather than my roll was there than the marie celeste known as Full Tilt

Hello,

Can I please prompt you to change your minds on this one, I feel I have suffered long enough and I have been missing out on playing the best poker games for many years now. I have been losing money playing on other sites because there simply is not enough players on the other sites, Pokerstars has the market share and that will never change. I want to play Sunday Millions, I want to qualify for EPT's, I don't want to be playing on substandard software playing against collusion rings on sites which don't care for such matters, however this is all I now have access to.

I can't even remember why I am no longer allowed to play, I would appreciate a full explanation. I do recall complaining about collusion rings, all of these things have since been proved to be true, and I applaud pokerstars for being much tougher on this now, and taking great measures to discourage bullying players (ie. increasing rake and removing rakeback which only benefits pros and not people like me). Please reconsider this, I do not believe I have done anything wrong and don't appreciate this treatment after losing a good chunk of money on Pokerstars and Full Tilt over the years.

Thanks

This does not sound like something i would write, and was most likely written under the influence of alcohol. Do i need to grovel and apologise? The fact still remains that i was allowed back on to full tilt, but once i revealed that my account was closed without explanation. This is getting childish.

Can I please request under the GDPR that you email me a copy of every last piece of personal information held on your system (including internal emails) which pertains to myself, including details obviously exchanged between full tilt. Or open my account, im sure the fines assosicated with failing to comply with GDPR guidelines could be easily avoided by this act of goodwill.

Sorry, why have I just provided photographic ID? I am confused. What is going on now. If I am not your customer why are you requesting my personal information on your system? Have I missed something, please do not do this to me now. I have just quit my job because I believed I was able to return to Pokerstars.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Over 2 weeks have passed now. No further contact. In my eyes they are in breach of the GDPR guidelines by not issuing me the data I requested, also, if I am not their customer, they have no right to hold my passport on their system, now obviously I was trolling with my "thank for letting me back" response, but in all honsety, for what other reason do Stars have to request my passport.

Consequentially I now have a lawyer and while I can't mention the details here, hopefully s*it hits the fan for them now, although no doubt this will near bankrupt me. But in all honesty, all I want to do is play a little game of poker. FFS. The list of scumbags on pokerstars is huge, all i did was send them a silly email whilst drunk/tilted/losing almost 10 years ago. It's not like I was violating federal bank fraud and money laundering laws. Oh but they got a second chance for that! SCUMBAGS.
09-17-2018 , 01:54 PM
Where is the email you sent in September 2011? I imagine it says something about having a gambling problem that triggered this. If so, PokerStars did the right thing not permitting you to play ever again.

It's quoted above, as is my bewilderment as to why I would post such a ******ed email.

Does this justify Pokerstars harvesting my data and requesting my passport for no justified reason, in this day and age of increased Data protection laws? There is something else going on here and I will get to the bottom of it...
09-17-2018 , 03:16 PM
How else are they supposed to "email me a copy of every last piece of personal information held on your system (including internal emails) which pertains to myself, including details obviously exchanged between full tilt" without confirming who's requesting all the documents you requested from them?

Would you prefer they just email that to anyone who gets access to your email account?

Anyone with access to my email has access to my passport, and far more interesting details than trying to get an old poker account resurrected...

Lol if you don't have two-factor authentication on your email in 2008...oh wait its 2018...

The mere fact that you are this worked up about not being able to play on a poker site, is a clear indication that you have a gambling problem.

If stars let every person who was "sorry" that they asked to be banned, back at the tables, their responsible gambling rules would be useless.

Unfortunately, you dug your own hole, even if it was years ago.

888 poker
PartyPoker
Bodog / Ignition
Ipoker

You do have options, as they all have decent traffic, especially if you're just a NL player.

Stars is doing the right thing. Good luck with your lawyer lol.
09-17-2018 , 03:45 PM
My accounts on 888 and ipoker are all dead, closed at the same time, when i wanted nothing more to do with poker. Times change. Peoples situations change. In 2015 I won £40k live and wanted to invest some of that online but the only site worth playing was pokerstars. I ended up losing a chunk on stupid sites with casinos (Of course Stars are now one of these sites, but I expect nothing less from a bunch of scumbags) as at my time of play the poker game player pool was just too small. Even Party is dead most the time i want to play, and only just recently have they improved the software to the point where its almost playable. I've built up a bit of a roll there recently and really wanted to get in on some wcoop action, but it seems unless your crime is colluding, multi accounting, using a VPN from USA or other shady activity, then you don't get a 2nd chance. Scumbags looking out for scumbags I guess...
09-17-2018 , 05:05 PM
The only complaint I'd say you have is that you've had no response in 2 weeks, but creating this thread, getting a lawyer, etc., is a pretty disproportionate response. I wouldn't have expected your request to be one that can be filled quickly.

Perhaps I'm missing something - how does Poker Stars being slow with your GDPR request equate to them being scumbags, and why would you be wasting money on a lawyer?

"In your eyes"? Hasn't your lawyer informed you that they one month (under certain circumstances three months) to comply with your data access request?
09-17-2018 , 06:09 PM
Im new here and this thread made me sad =(

why dont you just let it be man? You cant play there anymore - its just poker and your turning it into a dramatic ordeal.... i know a couple chicks like you and they aren't pleasant to be around

Go find something to do that you enjoy - it doesn't sound like you are a good poker player - it just sounds like you have an addiction and your dealer isnt pick up the phone

I couldn't find this email in the OP but PokerStars absolutely did the right thing when you did this. You left them no choice. It would take a completely irresponsible company to reopen your account.

If you emailed all of those other sites at the same time, it shows that you have some issues with gambling. I feel strongly that you are better off without it. You must know this or else you wouldn't have fired off the emails in the first place.

I sent a similar email to Full Tilt, they let me back. Until I pointed that out to Stars then they tried to cover up their tracks. I only did this to highlight the utter hypocrisy of their harsh stance, known cheaters get welcomed back to the site everyday, you condone that but don't want easy money coming to the site? Are you ******ed? Where do you think the money in poker comes from.

How? Stars not only has the right to refuse to deal with anyone they want to (just like any other business does, as long as it's not for discriminatory reasons), but in your case, they have the legal and moral responsibility to do so after your email.

Unless there are important details you've left out, they are absolutely, positively, 100% in the right here. You're wasting your time, and money.

Legal? These sites operate in tax haven non-jurisdictions so they can operate without any legal hassles. They stuck two fingers up to Uncle Sam after all.

Moral responsibility? Like not letting back, cheaters, multi accounters, colluders, never stopped them in the past. Every day someone posts moaning about some shady dealings...bankrolls being seized, winners being denied payment, winners in casino being banned...

"Discriminatory Reasons" oooh we're getting warmer now, in this PC-gone-crazy society we're living in today this is the ace up my sleeve. Watch this space.
