South Korea has this delicacy: live octopus. They bring out the startled little guy and a wooden mallet, you hit it a few times to stun it, slice off a leg to eat it with some sauce, and repeat.

If you're ever out this way, it's on me... just don't make me eat any.

I love me some sushi/sashimi, I don't know if I could do this though.

I did it once, it was a work situation where it would have been really impolite/insulting to refuse. (In retrospect I'm pretty sure my boss was just ****ing with me to see if I would eat it, but, that's how it goes sometimes.)

I don't like raw fish to begin with, but feeling the thing actually wriggling in your mouth is... really disturbing. I know it's just nerve endings firing or whatever at that point, but still.

I don't even like eating chicken that still looks like it's actual chicken, after three years in Korea, it's still hard for me to notice tentacles everywhere.

Also super common: grilled squid tentacle. These things are as big around as a kids forearm and 8-12 inches long, and people just buy them off the street and munch on them for snacks.

But that's just me, I'm not that into seafood. The rest of Korean cuisine (the pork/chicken/beef/vegetables) is freaking amazing, and I'll miss it after I leave.

If stars reps are too busy to notice anything you're doing then management needs some help...It would probably be in their best interest to literally pay someone $50k for the year to be a your side everyday taking care of anything you need so that you have ample time for poker....and the sick thing is I'm serious. lol Thanks for the well!

BTW my fav part of everything you said was keeping reminders of whats important in life, what you love and want in the the future....I think its the best piece of advice and not enough people practice anything like this!

You have the power to change the structure of the PS NL games and no one knew it was you who did it. What would you choose? (ie min/max buyin, ante, cap, 6max, etc.)

And happy birthday, hope it was a good one.

Sounds like your script writer knows what he's doing. Can you list what software you use with a brief description of the custom stuff?

I have really enjoyed reading your well. I keep checking back on it twice a day to see what has been added.

I have a few suggestions for proactively preventing the piracy of your new strategy guide. Send me a pm if interested. Slo habit's first three books were up on the internet pretty quickly. I believe they each cost $500-$999 each initially. I have a few ideas if interested which I think are applicable for a guide like this that is going out to a smaller niche market.

Thanks again for the well.

just a quick off the top of your head guess what % of your hands this year were from 6max/fullring/hu? and then also just for 6max what % of your hands were from 10/20+ // 5/10 // 3/6 // 2/4 // 1/2 and lower

thanks for all the info in this thread, keep up the good work!

Sorry it's been a while since I've responded in the Well. I've actually spent a little time away from the computer lately, imagine that! It was nice to get out of the house and have some fun for my birthday. I did quite a bit more partying than expected, drank for the first time in a year, and stayed up way too many hours, so I'm paying the price right now for it. But absolutely no regrets, I had a great time, and it's a reminder of just how hard I need to strive to regain my health so I can enjoy these things more in the future.

Well, I'm pretty optimistic about trying just about anything... but I generally prefer my food to sit still when I'm eating it. I've heard about people eating live prawns as well... I think I'll pass!

I played with quite a bit of success as MotherFlusher on FTP from Oct 2006 - April 2008. I haven't played much on that account since, as I began to transition all my play over to Stars.

Hey Eric, yeah, I remember you sweating me in high stakes HU matches years ago. I remember one deep stack hand in particular where I induced a guy to shove postflop over my reraise and all I was holding was A high on a paired board and I snap called the shove and your head exploded.. lol.

As far as getting your grind on.. all I can say is this..

We have no idea how much longer this gravy train called online poker will continue. No way to know how much longer we can beat the rake, legislation, or even our own health may permit. It's a bit cliche, but there is seriously no better time to seize the day.. because the worst thing a man can do imo is look back with regret. Regretting missed opportunities is a terrible thing.

I like this idea! Please lobby for the $50k Stars personal assistant, if offered I promise to hit 5mil VPP next year. =)

I would change the game back to the way it was earlier in the year, with a normal 20-100BB buyin game and a 50BB minimum game. I would also keep the current deep 100BB+ ante tables and the 20BB CAP tables, as I find them to be nice additions, giving the players more options.

I just spoke to him and asked if he would reply to this message in the well, as I'm sure many other players may be interested in his scripting. Basically if you can think it, he can code it. So I'll let him expand on a few of the things he's done. I'd expect a reply from him by this Tuesday or so.

Yes I did play against them quite a bit. And to be honest, I didn't suspect anything at the time. It wasn't until later when it was brought to my attention here on 2p2, that a light came on and I recognized it after the fact. Now I'm much more aware of collusion tactics and not quite so naive. I watch everyone at the high stakes $10/20 and $25/50 like a hawk these days.

I got the crazy idea that I could load my entire database from this year again but that failed miserably as HEM just locks up on me when I try. But I was able to load my last 1 million hands, so I'll give my 2010 estimates based on that:

The vast majority of my play is 6max, but I have began to add HU/3handed back into the mix lately.

Number of players at the table:
2: 2%
3: 3%
4: 10%
5: 31%
6: 53%
7: <1%
8: <1%
9: <1%

Stakes:
10/20+: 5%
5/10: 22%
3/6: 26%
2/4: 42%
1/2: 5%

This is a great idea IMO. Sometimes I feel like there's got to be stuff out there that would be super useful (Tableninja used to be an all star for me, but I find myself needing it less and less since Stars basically added a lot of the Tableninja functionality to its base software... kind of sucks for them) but I can't figure out what it is.

TBH what I really need is a script that marks tables I've already sat down at in the last 60 minutes, so I don't even have to click on them opening/closing for new tables is a freaking nightmare when you're not playing at peak times, as there aren't that many games to choose from to begin with.

More questions:

1. Online poker dies completely, but someone gives you the option of doing something else milliions of times a year for a few cents each time you do it. Choice?

2. What would your girlfriend get rated if you put a pic of her up in BBV4L?

3. What's the best thing to buy in the pokerstars store in your opinion, other than cash/tournament tickets? (What's your favorite piece of pokerstars merch)

4. A genie says, "I'll give you ________________ to give up poker forever." What is the least valuable way you could fill in the blank to take the offer?
