We are not against open source, we are just to far from launch to commit to that, also we need to understand the legal ramifications of publishing open-source software that could be used for online gaming. Lastly, I will publish the announcement of our advisors and new team members here later this week or early next week at the latest. We are adding a very big name pro to our team, which we will be announcing on Thursday, as well as several academics with backgrounds in cyber security and cryptography. Also -- we promise to be much more responsive here for all future questions moving forward, as we see building a new poker platform as a community effort, and we want to get it right.
Thx, I'll perceive the invitation as a beta tester. Please send me an email when beta testing starts (Ryan has my email address).

AFAIK tangle has no tx finality like PoW but it will only be secure if the network is massively adopted and we are far away from that. Furthermore it currently runs on a centralized coordinator, so they have not proven at all that the Tangle is somehow secure with the current network adoption. We want a decentralized solution not a centralized coordinator. Another point is that the whole ecosystem is not very well researched or developed. It will be a hard time for Ethereum to convince people that there is no room for PoW in this world, it will even be harder to convince people to use a Tangle network if this is not entirely impossible, b/c AFAIK the security of the network emerges with scale (due to hardware constraints it gets more unlikely to execute an successfull attack - Keyword omnipresence. The devs say Omnipresence is needed to execute an successfull attack) and it's really hard to imagine/understand for the avarage joe that this system can actually be secure. That may be one reason why they target IoT. With a tangle you also rely on snapshots of third partys (b/c your node will not be able to store all tx's due to the heavy amount of micro-tx's that is a result of mininum fees), which is also debatable if this is what we actually want. Smart Contracts are AFAIK also currently not available.
You see, tangle is in my opinion nothing that will power Dapps in the next 10-20 years. I can be wrong, but that's my current opinion. Their current focus is AFAIK on getting companies on board that utalize the Tangle for their IoT projects.
