A recipe for success for a new online poker site:
1) Do not ever rig the software (I am not talking about the RNG, I am talking about the software); do not ever introduce things like action boards, profiling, feeding shills/props, etc. Do not use shills/props to begin with.
2) If you failed 1) already, then unrig, fire the shills, offer fair game - it goes long way.
3) No need of using name players to attract attention to the site, like known pros or expensive celebrities (Phil Galfond is enough
). No need of advertising; fair game goes long way (hmm, said that already). Yep, could be a bit boring without any enhancements, but still better than live.
OK, that covers it all, you get the idea. I also realize my post might soon travel to the "...Poker Rigged Debate..." thread, but anyway. It is because I believe online poker sites do shady things; I also believe that RIO does not! At least for now... I have not put enough volume to know for sure, but my first impressions are positive. Hence I will be recommending RunItOnce to everyone I know; I hope we will not be disappointed.
I also believe that fair play is the best policy, and in that respect you will be beating a huge percentage of the competition. People will flock to your site; as I said, I will personally work on that; plus an honest business advertises itself.
On a different note, a couple of suggestions for improving the playing experience.
1) The software is quite CPU consuming, with each new table contributing to the load; some kind of optimizing of executable(s) might be useful. Compare with say PP or PS - virtually no load (but plenty of other issues, so if I have to choose, I will still choose RIO)
2) Make the depositing easier and more diverse. The current limitations make it difficult to play high, say 1K BI, and that is probably the reason why the 1K tables are empty.
