I heard rumours 1k will be highest stakes available. I like they switching to gbp/eur. Even thinking about maybe checking it out after 4 years of stars

Why are you thinking of leaving stars?

Re: Official iPoker Thread
1. Most users have their cashiers in $ ?
2. https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=5307
3. If they are doing this, of course they (skins) would be keeping exchange rates unfavorable to USD as well. So
-By changing all games to other currencies, iPoker will be grabbing at least 4c each time any user with $ cashier buys into, ANYTHING !

Re: Official iPoker Thread
Won't it mean that the full rake from a hand will be, say, £3.00 instead of $3.00? (£3.00 = $4.84)

Re: Official iPoker Thread
I hope $ customers will be given an option to change the currency to € or £, at least that's what would be fair.
If you're afraid of losing up to a cent on every top-up, tune the client to top you up only when the stack falls below 90% of the initial BI. This also provides a benefit of not being recognised as a reg immediately because it will often seem that you have no top-up at all.
And yes, rake in current iPoker/MPN €/£ games with >4 players dealt in is capped at €3/£3. That's crucial at the mid-high stakes where caps are hit almost every hand, but at the micro-low stakes caps are hit seldom and huge rake-based promos more than compensate for that.

However everything else is just riddles, and like you say seems unlikely to be positive changes for the players

Why dont you just play stars if you like their system so much?

Re: Official iPoker Thread
There was a scheduled maintenance that happens every Wednesday from 5 to 7 AM GMT (UK) and perhaps took too long this time. Everything is now back up and I'm logged in via William Hill.

Re: Official iPoker Thread
iPoker slows down my computer to the point of being unusable with other poker sites up.
I'll transfer $50 on Pokerstars to anybody that can help me sort it out.
I'm playing on a 2.9 GHz Intel Desktop MAC using Bootcamp.
Cheers

Re: iPoker "Changes"
Seems that they want people to just lose $10k in 11,000 hands of 2/4 and not 111 hands of 25/50 which seems like VERY short sighted logic.
It would be very encouraging to get some comments on this, none of the changes here seem to me like they will offer ANY real additional benefit to the....
..........
about 2 4 vs. 25 50 limit poker, a high limit is a high limit, not in any way related to 2 4.
but 99.9% players will want a losing player at their big bet 2 4 table rather than have him blow at 25 50 in 111 hands.
i dont think a losing high limit player should be even allowed to play above high limits until he can prove he can afford it.

Re: Official iPoker Thread
Alas only the browser (HTML5) version can be played on a Mac (without Windows emulation); iPoker is offering no Mac desktop client.

We apologize, but your IP address check has failed. Further information has been sent to the email address you have registered. Please do not hesitate to contact our customer support team for assistance.

Are there any other dutch players here that have any trouble with this on Winner or any other IPoker skins ?
I can't find any news about this anywhere (yet). My worry is will other networks suddenly become unavailable to the dutch players ?
added: My Poker 770 fine, no IP check failed.
More added: Yesterday support told me this happened very recently. They where very helpful and send cashier message to withdraw my remaining funds to my neteller. Which arrived this morning already unlike the usual waiting time.

Re: Official iPoker Thread
Are there any updates regarding the impending currency changes being made at iPoker in January? I was seriously considering moving to the iPoker network, but I'm massively put off by the significant backdoor rake-hike they seem to be implementing as a result of the changes.
