Re: *** Unofficial Equity Poker Network Thread ***

Are there any skins of Equity that don't require you to give out all your personal information just to download the software?

Re: *** Unofficial Equity Poker Network Thread ***

The founder used to be a CEO of BetOnline. Someone in another thread said that he had been a CEO before some bad stuff happened at BO. I don't know anything about him so I can't say one way or the other. Equity and BetOnline are 2 completely different companies. They both lease the software from a 3rd party.

I just had to redownload the software at FullFlush to do an update a couple of hours ago and they didn't didn't ask for any info.

Well, that escalated quickly.

I'm not familiar with the history of Chico. I only signed on to one of their skins a couple of weeks ago. Currently, I can't even log onto Equity software while I'm on Chico.

Did bad things occur under Clive Archers watch? If so, details please.

The software sounds like it is the same one provided on Chico, but I have never played on Chico. As posted in OP the Software is licensed from Playsafe Holding AS, a publicly traded Norwegian Poker software provider.

I am not informed on Norwegian politics but usually public traded companies are under extreme scrutiny. When I hear publicly traded it helps feel a bit safer.

Re: *** Unofficial Equity Poker Network Thread ***

What has it escalated into ? LOL

Clive Archer is the founder of EPN and bringing his bright ideas to life. God forbid a network tries something new and innovative for once.

Clive did serve for a time as CEO of BO but wasn't there from the start. In fact he only got there following the merger and acquisition with BLS. Loooong before BO ever had a pokerroom.

He served for a time as well at APN, this time as COO. Again he fulfilled his duties as required and left the network before the problems with payouts.

Other than licensing the same soft, there is no business relationship between any of these companies. Clive is an industry veteran and well-respected by his peers, but if you want to be a Negative Nancy and nitpick some more, why not make sure it holds some weight ?

Re: *** Unofficial Equity Poker Network Thread ***

I haven't read anything about Archer being involved with any of the bad management at BetOnline. It seems to me that the media would have picked that up and reported it if he had.

This is a Bodog interview with Clive Archer:

I wouldnt trust this site for one reason. Its licensed in Curaco apparently that place doesn't care about gaming much being that lock is license there and i have email and call dozens of times with no response. There name is tainted as well. unfortunately

I agree with you about Curacao. Unfortunately most of the US sites are either licensed by Curacao or Costa Rico which is the only licensing body considered worse than Curacao.

Licensing bodies mean nothing. They have never stopped a bad company from screwing people over.

should they not be revoking licenses. I mean if i have a record of reckless driving and multiple infractions my driving privileges get revoked. The are the ones that issue the license the job does not stop there if the company is not functioning correctly and has alot of issue there has to be some repercussions. The burden is on them to regulate and uphold the company to the requirements of holding a e gaming license.

I think the LGA and KGC have offered up some pretty stiff competition.

I really don't know anything about LGA but the reason that I think that Kahnawake is better (albeit slightly) than the two I mentioned, despite its infamous history with UltimateBet and FullTiltPoker, is that Kahnawake actually handled hundreds of disputes between players and poker sites every year. I suspect that may be one of the reasons why the US sites decided to switch to license providers that don't.

I just downloaded it. But I don't have a Mac so I can't tell you if its working or not. If you can get to another computer maybe you can download it there.

Well, I have a PC too, but that doesn't help me too much getting it on to my mac. Maybe I will try support.

Would love to hear some of these player disputes that Kahnawake helped settle over the years. Guess they were too busy settling small claims to notice the hundreds of millions being looted by the sites they regulated.

Micky from Kahnawake swore to me up and down months before Black Friday that they had recently audited AP and all funds were on hand.

So who's saying otherwise? Do you think that Curacao is carefully monitoring Lock's funds?

I'm saying who cares who they are regulated by, Black Friday made it clear the regulators are regulating next to nothing.

Re: *** Unofficial Equity Poker Network Thread ***

The Real Lesson to be learned is not to leave much money on any one site. It's really crazy to trust large amounts of money to a website which operates in a foreign country and is not regulated by the US government or any Western Government for that matter. Operators like Lock and AP/UB know that there will be no consequences if they decide to do something shady. Hopefully, Bitcoins will catch on so US customers will have a practical way to move money around quickly. Does anyone know if this network will accept bitcoins?

Hi All
I would like to introduce myself to the community. My name is Sandra Taylor and I'm the customer support manager and player rep at IntegerPoker. As of today I will be participating in this thread on a daily basis to answer any questions you guys and girls might have about Integer or EPN.

I will start by trying to answer some of the questions that have been asked so far.

The network does not allow for direct P2P transfer and there is no rake back program as such. Players receive cash back though on accumulated POP (Player Option Points).

No. Players are required to provide their personal information when creating an account on any skin of the network. The players screen name is unique across the network and players are only allowed ONE account on the entire network.

Players that encounter a problem with the Mac software should contact support@equitypokernetwork.com. The dev team is trying to isolate the problem that some Mac users have reported and any additional information to reproduce and isolate the error would be appreciated.

Regards,
CS Sandy

Hi Sandy,

A few questions I couldn't find answers to on the site.

1. What is the cash back percentage of your PoP program? Can you go into more detail for some of us that need to compare it to our rakeback deals on other sites?

2. What are your realistic withdrawal timeframes? I think that is one of the most important things most of us need to know before we deposit.

Re: *** Unofficial Equity Poker Network Thread ***

^^^^^^
No rakeback and the cash back % is bad. Just move along now If you're looking for a network with a good rewards program.

The problem with not having a good rewards program is the player pool has to be very soft or rake needs to be lower than average for me to consider playing there. That's the only reason I play on Bovada.

So, my question is what makes EPN any different than the other subpar poker sites U.S. players have to choose from? I just don't get it. Is it that hard for a site to model themselves after Pokerstars or FTP? I think they are a little successful, no? It's like these new sites want to suck on purpose.

1. Our web developer has told me that the information is available on our website.

2. Our current processing times vary depending on the processing option. They are estimated as follows:

Checks, Wires up to 10 Days.
Money orders 6-10 Days.
WU and MG no more than 5 days.

Since we’re launching real money games today we've only processed winnings from pre-launch tournaments.

Oh I see it now. Sandy that is a very disappointing cash back rate. 16% is at the bottom end for US poker sites. I like previous posters are left asking why Equity? Your way to capture the market is simply through a industry leading rewards program. I get up to 35% back at other sites.
