^ I cant start and expect to fill up all 12 tables guy. No matter how you slice it.... fact is its makes the whole experience worse, for recs too. You think they are gonna play the waiting/staring at the lobby game? Hells NO! They are gonna go to something they can do right then and there, like sports or casino betting. I just dropped the 2+2 mic on CHICO

Not gonna lie, this is good for the games. No, I don't want to extrapolate. If you can't see it, don't let the door hit you in the ass.

They are just going to sit at a table that has someone waiting at it. Or sit at a table that two regs are playing heads up @. Maybe you should play less tables. 8 works well for me + I can start tables and not have to hunt the lobby all day.

Here is the thing. Now I can't sit on a table that has 5/6 or 8/9 players. I will be always slower that the guys with the script. So basically impossible for me to get any reasonable amount of tables. You have to constantly scan the lobby to get any chance to get a table which distract you from playing.

You are obviously micro stakes fish so you have no clue what you are talking about. This will become a new heaven for scripting guys and you can't do anything about it. Why some scummy bumhunting seat hoping terrible reg (TimStone and friends) should have more right to seat than me at the table?

Why not creating a solution like Party Poker has with global waiting list and anonymous tables untill you pay your BB. It works really well on Party. Why rewarding the most scummy type of regs and make it impossible for anyone but bets HU regs and scripters to get a seat at the game. It just makes no sense.

But yeah Micro fish are like "**** yeah GTFO regs" If you have no clue what you are taking about just stop.

for one thing, if u like full ring games u can start a table, then sit there for only 10 mins. b4 ur sat out, usually the table hasnt filled much at that point, so its pretty pointless.

Do you play midstakes? Regs won't play other regs if they don't have to. If I'm sitting at a 600NL 6max game & the fish leaves all the other regs sit out almost immediately even before I even decide to quit. It happens over and over again. And I don't blame them. I'm just an average reg, and still many of the elite regs do it to. Even if you are the best reg at the table and there's 4 other regs, nowadays your margin of superiority probably isn't even enough to break even or win

Either way, no wait lists are bad for everyone. Whales will just not bother, fish will get mad, and regs will make table scripts to steal the seat. I get wait lists 11 ppl long trying to get the whale are not good for poker but there are other ways to curb this practice & have useful alternative wait lists. Imagine if a live casino didnt have wait lists, charged to deposit, made it impossible for sportsbettors to play, & tried to ban ppl for being winning players? Rofl
That is basically online poker now

Also, if they plan go rec model why do they even bother with rake races and other grinder rewards?

LOL. I wonder if this is a temporary return.

Quasi-Related to the discussion above - is there a cap on number of tables generated per stake? It seems to me after 10(?) 6-Max Tables, new empty tables stop generating. I could be wrong but does anyone know more definitively? Also so there is a 12 table cap?

Personally I could care less about wait lists or not, assuming there's always a new empty table to open sit. But if there are no wait lists AND a cap on tables per stake, well that is stupid.

I just made my first deposit to BetOnline last night and thought I had found a great value tournament for $10 + 1 and $7500 guaranteed. Well, 313 people registered, 346 rebuys, 237 add-ons and the tournament reached $9500 which is awesome. Well, before the tournament started it showed the payout chart paying 15 places, which increases at the other site I play on ACR as more players register. It never went up, and out of 313 players, only 15 made the money bubble. That is less than 5% itm? IMO this is extremely slanted toward pro grinders that final table daily and EXTREMELY hostile structure to any new and recreational players bankrolls who play for fun and might make a few final tables a year. Who ever heard of a payout structure of less than 5% lol. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong has anyone ever heard of a site prize structuring in this fashion?

just logged into BOL and looked at the 1K GTD game and it had 20 spots paying with 157 players in the tourney. I'd love to see a screenshot of the lobby for it should have changed.

turn off "show upcoming only" it was last nights $7500 gteed and it is still posted, I would have earned back my buy-in plus won a couple more buy-ins at any other site I have ever played for my mediocre/late finish, these small cashes help keep a player going until a solid bink, which I have only made once lol, but still love to play, just wish I knew it was this type payout structure so I wouldn't deposit here I prefer the 15% payout so I gotta chance to have fun and still have a shot to recoup the buy-in and play again till I get another good run of the luck and go deep! (sorry I dunno how to screenshot - old)

15/313 paid that's less than 5% here is the screenshot. Never had to check a tourney before to make sure the structure is more than a 4.5% payout lol, which is what 15/313 comes to, I would never have deposited here nor signed up for this tournament had they made this clear so I want to make sure other new players KNOW what to expect from these nice guaranteed special tournaments and aren't blindsided as I was. There is very little value here for an average player, to require top 5% finish to cash in a tourney is designed for crushers, whom I have the humility and wisdom to recognize I am not, which is why I will improve sir. That $11 rebuy is the only one on the schedule I believe that has that low of a payout structure. Its very top heavy with first often $2700 or higher. With only around 300 runners that is very good for final table payouts. If you dont want to play that most of the other tourneys pay standard 12%.

Yes, I play micros. And I have played up through 400 in my lifetime. I don't play anymore other than 4 tables in bed for fun. So no, I wouldn't say fish. That is just you being a dick.

What you are describing is exactly why they do this. They don't want you bumhunting games and they do not want five regs picking apart one fish like a pack of wolves. Be better than the regs or move down. This isn't 2004 or 2008. They are protecting the player pool, which is good for the game.

The big picture is a lot broader than the results of your last sessions profitability. Sure, there may be some fundamental flaws, but it's a step in the right direction for them. As a business man, if you can put yourself in their shoes, you would make the same choice.

Payouts are excellent. If you spend 2-4 bullets a tournament you'll be better off with a 100x bink instead of 2-4 bullets for a 40-50x bink. I'm not cool with min cashing double your money or even money refund after a. 2-3+ hour tournament.
