Question: Has any one played in any of the FREEBUY series tournaments going right now on BetOnline?

Just experienced something really weird, and want to know if I'm in the wrong on this.

It's the 3pm $500 FREEBUY tournament on 8.8.2020. The rebuy period ended and the add on button popped up. It was .25 to add on so I did. There are over 1000 runners who entereed and payouts start around 330 some people. Its the only reason I added on, so that I could ensure getting into the money.....now all of a sudden the payout has change to WINNER TAKE ALL (1 person pays)

How can they change the number of people they payout after the Add on period to 1 person? I would have never added on in the first place if it was winner take all. Is it possibly just a glitch? Other people are saying it's changed as well and people being eliminated in the early 300's are not getting paid.

Was anyone else playing this? Am i in the wrong for being sort of upset about it? It's not the measly $0.75 i spent. I guess I'm curious if its ethical for them to change payouts after they've taken money from me from 331 entrants to 1????

I won a sat to main event (08/23) and need to know if I'll get a ticket to use it when I want or get automatically registered to next main event (08/30) if I win this sat again.

i was also playing tournaments yesterday when servers went down. now missing ~$200 from my account. live chat doesnt work. anyone else missing money?

support replied to my email a week ago "your request has been escalated to a supervisor who will get in contact with you" but nothing after that. they dont even answer to my emails anymore.

i cant believe im the only one here with missing money from account because all sunday tournaments were cancelled and lot of people were playing.

I would advise reading the other posts in the threads you post in. If you had followed the directions given in those other posts then you wouldn't be posting in this thread. You would be posting and reading in the correct forum instead. In the correct place you would have found this.

I would like to play on chico network.

Is it a room you recommend? There's not a lot of players from what I've seen I am a bit afraid that not enough tables will be available (I am playing NL50).
Is it working with PT4 and is the HUD allowed?

No worries. The part below about "no matter what site you play on" is there to include players from BetOnline, SportsBetting and TigerGaming since almost everything discussed in that forum relates to the network as a whole.

Personally I'd recommend BetOnline, then SportsBetting and then TigerGaming in that order.

The Chico Network is a mid-sized network. It hovers just around the outside of the Top 10 in terms of traffic for worldwide sites according to Poker Scout. There are times when you should definitely be able to hit the table cap of 8 cash game tables. At other times you will need to mix 6max & 9max, other stakes and/or other sites to reach your desired volume.

PT4 is not against the rules, but you would need a 3rd party hand grabber for it to work since PT4 doesn't have native support for the network.

Can I only have one account on Chico Network? For expample account on TG = can't create and play on BetOnline and other sites on Chico?

How does the 1x rollover work, exactly? I deposited 1k a few months ago. I’ve played probably $300-$500 of tournament buyins since then. Do I need to play a full $1k worth of tournaments before I can cash out? What if I sit at a cash table with my remaining $800? Is that considered “in play?”

As far as I know, the rule is 1 poker account per player. If you'd like to open an account on another skin then you would need to close your first account on your current site prior to opening the new poker account on a different site on the network.


As far as I know, a 1x rollover would require you to rake the equivalent of your deposit at the tables prior to cashing out, but it might just be that you need to play an equivalent of your deposit in buy-ins if we're talking about tournaments. You'd probably be able to get a more definitive answer from somebody who sees in your question in the better forum to ask.

Your posts/warning is little more than a manic whine about your feelz. They actually belong in the riggie thread. You posted zero evidence. With 100% certainty, and for a fact, Chico is very proactive in keeping the site clean as of late. We exposed a large bot farm and since then have had almost daily contact with them.

Of all the US facing sitea, Chico is by far the most aggressive and easiest to worth with in cleaning up the grime.

Jon Little switched to Bet Online and some one offered him "Black Card" Rake Back. I thought betonline didn't offer rake back? Anyone heard of this program?

As far as I know, BetOnline and the rest of the sites on the Chico Network still don't offer direct rakeback to their players in the same way that some other networks do, like the WPN does.

They have occasionally offered me some rakeback-like bonuses for about 20% rb up to a certain amount if I played 'x' amount within a week, but it hasn't been a consistent reward program thus far.

Chico does pay out some rakeback to affiliates who can bring them players. The affiliates then do what they want with that money.

Jonathan Little could certainly bring a decent amount of players over to the network by recommending it to his social media followers. Perhaps that is what he is talking about. I didn't see where it was mentioned though, so I'm not positive what the exact deal is.

Series has been good so far, overlays in some events as well. Really would like to see them not rake the rebuys and addons for the rebuy mtts but oh well

Okay it sounds like some kind of special affiliate rake back due to his social status in the community. I just want to make sure I am not missing out some special secret rake back deal that everyone but me knows about. I am so utterly confused on the VIP programs / Missions / Community benefits at the site.

If he is getting a single thing more than any other player, that is f'd up amd Chico should be confronted about it.

Sites have had tiered/unique rewards/bonuses forever (although many if not all have moved away from this), some have sponsored pros, etc...this doesn't seem all that unusual.

Now, whether they'd want him disclosing it might be another matter.

Chico deleted the players entire rewards program and left them with nada. They have done a lot of good lately, BBJP, riding the bots, etc.... but this is a big sticking point for many players. Fine to give separate deals for pros, but when you have a couple thousand recs and regs completely skunked, it's a seriously bad look.
