How is asking you for evidence being a "tough guy"? And I take it from your deflection that you don't have any evidence you're willing to share?

Anyone else suspect SoapOpera playing multi tables on BOL of being a bot? He plays all PLO25 tables yet acts instantly and can bet .28 when the min bet is .29. Nobody else can bet .28, we've tried to type it in but it won't accept that.
Responses appreciated.

I just played with pyropyro and I’m pretty sure he’s a bot, he plays super fast for a multi tabler too. There’s no way soapOpera is not a bot or some kind of computer aided player.

I was hoping to hear from the online community of some verified people who have had success on BetOnline. Just looking for actual people who have had reasonable success building a bankroll on the site.

I’m definitely not the best player but I’m generally successful with live cash. However I’m struggling on BOL. I’m definitely willing to chalk it up to my skill level but it would be great to hear from you guys of folks running a decent win rate over a reasonable period of time.

Thanks!!!

I'm non-US, so experiences may vary, but I experienced it as one of the softer sites. I've mostly played Omaha CG and midstake MTTs on weekends and found the level of play to be very soft.

I don't know how many hands you have played there so far but when trying to assess the competition, it's better to analyze the amount of good plays and mistakes your opposition makes rather than your results. Variance is a *****.

Yesterday I got a strange phone call from a Las Vegas number from a man who asked for me by name and claimed he was with Betonline, I answered "speaking" when he asked for me and he mumbled something I couldn't understand and hung up the phone.
Has anybody else ever gotten a call from Betonline?
when I try to call it back it rings twice and starts playing music.
This is the number 702 273-3614

I got a call from that same number a week ago. I missed it at that time. I called back and it was an account manager from BetOnline that can offer you some deposit bonuses, free plays and other help with your account.

I was pretty suspicious at first and thought it might be some kind of scam since I didn't think BetOnline had any operations out the Las Vegas area. He didn't ask me for anything other than to verify my name and my account number. He already knew all of the details of my account and pulled up the amount of funds in my sportsbook and poker accounts on his system.

I'm not sure why they would mumble something and hang up, but I do think it's a legit BetOnline employee. I think they're probably reaching out to customers since March Madness is one of the biggest times of the year for sports betting. I declined the 100% deposit bonus he offered at the time. I rarely take bonuses with sites these days since there's always strings attached that I would feel even less comfortable about accepting over the phone, instead of being able to read the terms and conditions in their entirety online.

They provide you with a free one which is a Holdem Indicator clone. I'd say that's pretty HUD friendly.

Live games are almost always going to be softer than online games these days, especially when talking about anything beyond the absolute lowest of the micro-stakes online.

What types of games are you playing at BetOnline? NLHE, PLO, cash games, MTTs, SNGs?

I've had some NLHE cash game success playing on BetOnline. I grinded up a roll on my account that had less than $10 in it about 2 years ago from 2NL, when they offered it, to the point where I can regularly play 500NL these days. You can definitely find good cash games up to the mid-stakes. I rarely play tournaments these days, but the MTTs I have played seemed pretty good.

They do have a bot problem in their cash games. I do my best to report the accounts when I find them. Sometimes they remove them, but they are inconsistent with it and not very proactive. The presence of bots can make the games considerably worse. If you play any of the cash games from 25-500NL I could tell you which accounts are botting if you'd like to avoid them. Just send me a private message if/when you have that capability enabled on your account here.

For future reference you should post your BetOnline questions in the thread below.

Can you really avoid them though? I have been playing mostly 10NL so far and there are roughly 1-4 bots at every table at all times. Sometimes during the day(when I usually play) there can even be 5. I've looked at the lineups in 25NL and 50NL and it seems similar. And once you get past 10NL you have only 2-6 of these games running most of the time and the bots are on all of these tables so there is really no avoiding them I don't think. I suppose I should start reporting them. What is the best way to do that?

HUDs allowed? No. I got this email recently:

"Good day,

We recently detected that you have been using a prohibited 3rd party software while playing on the poker client.

In the interests of security and to protect the integrity of the game, we do not permit the use of automated software applications at Sportsbetting. We therefore, respectfully request that you remove this technology from your operating system immediately.

If we find that you fail to comply with this request and continue to use the prohibited software despite our warning, we will be forced to take the appropriate action in accordance with our Fair Play Policy. This requires that we close your account, confiscate all funds, and impose a permanent ban from playing at Sportsbetting and all network sites.

Should you wish to continue playing with us, simply act now and uninstall the prohibited software.

We will continue to monitor your online poker activity.

The Sportsbetting Fraud Team"

I was using Omaha indicator for Omaha games as the sportsbetting.ag version of holdem indicator does not work at all for Omaha games.

So, beware, I guess.

Doesn't that software tell you what to do during the hand? If so, that may be why it's banned. Similar to botting, but with a human clicking.

Sometimes you can. If you insist on playing then sometimes you can't, but you can make a much more informed decision if you're aware of what accounts are the bots.

I think the lack of more/better tables is due to the time frame you seem to be playing most often. In prime evening and weekend hours there can be 15-25 tables per stake if you include 6max and 9max, at least up to 200NL.

Yes, please report them if you're sure. If you're unsure then you can run your suspicions by me via private message. You should email them at poker@BetOnline.ag with your concerns.

Automated software applications doesn't sound HUD related. Perhaps Omaha Indicator somehow set off some false alarms. I'd be surprised though since they provide you with an identical HUD for NLHE.

90%+ of regs on the network are likely using one HUD or another and I haven't heard another reg say they've received a similar message for using one.

Ask the Omaha Indicator people if they've had any other reports of the same thing. I know they used to provide you with one to use on the network if you signed up through them at BetOnline. I'd also be surprised if there wasn't some deal made with them when they started providing the free Holdem Indicator clone.

No. It's just a very simple HUD like Holdem Indicator, but for Omaha.

Yes I was speaking solely in terms of 9max. There seem to be a few more 6max tables in general. I'm thinking about making the switch soon. Interestingly I played 2 sessions today and noticed only 1 of the 5-6 bots I see on a daily basis. Would be awesome if they cleared some of them out

I got this same email over the weekend. I use Betonline card catcher along with the HM2 HUD and sometimes have Omaha Indicator also running on my computer, but only use that on other sites. I don’t use any botting program.. so not sure what’s going on. It’s a little unclear in their rules if a HUD is even “prohibited software”. I emailed them for clarification on what the offending program is exactly.. I’ll post if I get a response.

Yes, I only had Omaha Indicator running recently, so they are prohibiting everything except their own version of Holdem Indicator. They have one for Sportsbetting.ag and one for BetOnline. So, no HUDs for Omaha allowed.

Also, you are prohibited from subscribing to sharkscope and such, so there's a lot of avenues they could simply call TOS foul and confiscate your money.

Any official clarification you get from them is appreciated.

I moved my sportsbetting account to a computer naked of poker except for a clubwpt account, and no, I don't have bots or subscriptions to poker databases.

I’d answer “when you do something about those bots instead of snooping into players lives we’ll talk” I have Omaha indicator and other than a flashing light saying “you’ve got the nuts” I can’t find anything telling me how to play in that seoftware. Maybe I’m to dumb to use it if it’s there.z...
