I'm connected at the moment. I haven't had an issue since I first tried to get on last night. Overall though I've had more issues trying to connect lately than any time other than when they were getting DDOSd in August. I don't think that's the issue this time though. I'm not getting booted off like we were back then.

and apparently the beloved Tiffany, who used to come on here and at least pay attention to some of the silly, penny pinching things this network did, has gone the way of the dodo bird.

It's obvious they know about the bots and choose to do nothing, so I guess there's zero point having someone come in here to pretend they care.

It looks like SNGs have already been decimated by collusion/cheating and they probably realize cash games aren't too far behind which is why they're trying to introduce new game formats.

I wish I knew the thought process behind banning the old wave of bots, but doing nothing about the new ones.

What purpose did her presence serve if she can't answer questions to real issues or affect change in any meaningful way?

Exactly with regards to the Rep.

I think the new game additions are just to attract more/new players and make money on formats that generate more rake.

They probably banned them because of constant complaints. Then they realized they were making less rake money without the bots and they have nobody to answer to.

I really can't even imagine that they actually have a security department at this point. If there is, what are they getting paid to do?

I'm not an expert on the subject by any means, but I believe that happens at some places when the price has been fluctuating.

I used to love their maintenance breaks. Used to be no bots or HUDs for a day or 2 after. Haven't seen that in a while though.

I'd rather see that than the emotionless reg or bot take a bad beat in stride. Bad beat complaining is like blood in the water.

Beyond the fact that it's blatant cheating, it's the loss of the human element that's most annoying. Adjusting to your opponent from hand to hand or session to session, seeing how they react to a series of bad beats or even positive tilt. None of it matters with bots. They play the same in the 10th hour as the first minute and play the same 1 tabling as 12 tabling.

In addition they will never chat with casuals. I try to do at least a bit of chatting even when playing a bunch of tables, but for casuals it has to be miserable playing with a bunch of bots who won't chat and are programmed to extract money from them.

BotOnline is incredibly short sighted if they think the short term increase in rake money is worth the long term damage to their brand and the ecosystem.

Agree on all points. Their sportsbook helps a lot with the poker side. If it wasn't as popular as it is I doubt they'd have many recreational players which would mean less regs as well. I don't think their poker side could stand on its own for very long the way it's run right now.

Played a few hours a little bit ago and had no issues. It's pretty annoying, but a few extra attempts usually gets me in. Rec traffic did seem a bit down, but I didn't get on until 10pm my time.

Total was like 1mil?
So...

150k to winner of the hand.
37.5k to 4 others if 6max. 21.4k to 7 others if 9max.
100k to administrative fees!!!!
Other BBJ tables?

Just about to deposit on to tiger gaming and stumbled across this thread, I've read some of it but not all, I'm assuming I should steer a million miles away from Chico? Looking for a site with as soft as possible a players pool and thought this was it

Personally I wouldn't recommend the network to anyone with better options. As for why I'd say bots, collusion, lack of security, shady/scammy/scummy management decisions, etc. I do currently still play here, but I'm not sure how long I will continue to as it appears nothing will be getting better any time soon. That said, any competent player can still have a decent winrate. I would just advise them to keep their eyes open for anything suspicious.

Yes. They are scumbags. And are aware of the bots and don’t care. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are pulling other shady stuff. Stay away.
