I have been playing on BOL for about a month now. Luckily I haven't really had any disconnection or software issues until the last day or so.

Yesterday, I had the lobby open while playing at a cash table because I was waiting for a sng to fill up and it kept telling me it had "lost connection to the lobby" and had to reconnect, even though my game continued without any problem. It seems odd that the lobby would be on a different connection/server than the tables, but I was happy that my game wasn't being affected.

I have been using their HUD, which was updated a couple of days ago. It seemed to have been working ok after the update, and I used it this afternoon without issue. Tonight, however, I logged on late to play for just a couple more hours and every time I started the HUD it would cause a problem.

My tables would freeze immediately and a message would come up saying something like "due to an error this program (the poker client) has to close and the error is being reported to Microsoft", even though I have error reporting disabled. I have been starting the HUD before starting the poker client as the popup reminder says to, but this time the reminder box was coming up anyway. I also tried opening the HUD program after starting the client, but had the same issue. This happened about 10 times. Then I would not be able to restart the client without the error immediately showing up again, and had to reboot after each error notice in order to get back into it.

I finally figured out that the HUD was the issue, so logged back into the client without starting the HUD and then was able to play for more than 2 hours without interruption. Anyone else having this problem?

Just now I was finally able to get back in via the desktop client and tables are loading in the lobby.

@PokerAnnie32 I am having a similar issue with my HUD at the moment.

I still can't get the desktop client to load. I get a weird message about how it may be having trouble with outdated video drivers, Antivirus software, or Windows security settings.

I emailed them yesterday, haven't heard back yet (usually I hear back within an hour or two).

I am still having the problem today with the BOL HUD program triggering an error in the poker client, which then makes it close. I can't reopen it again until I reboot.

I'm sending an email to Support about this and hope it gets cleared up quickly as it's very frustrating.

Before I get into this, I want to say that I'm just a rec player that isn't on here often, so I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong forum or breaking any rules with this post. I just don't know what to do to get this addressed, so I'm hoping that this community can provide advice.

I won a satellite on 12/31 at BetOnline for an entry into their 100k monthly tournament. I was hoping to play in it that day, but didn't realize registration closes rather quickly there, so the satellite was still going when registration closed. Due to this, my assumption was that my ticket would be good for this month's tournament since I won it without the opportunity to use it on 12/31. Well, this month they have upped the guarantee from 100k to 150k.
This morning I checked the 150k tournament and I didn't have a ticket available to the tournament. When I contacted chat, I was told, "You have never been awarded a $150K ticket - only a $100K ticket. Which has become null and void as the promotion has ended." When I told him that the final 100k tournament was on the same day I won the ticket, and that registration was closed for the tournament that day before the satellite was even over, he said, "We ran the promotion until January 1st; as per our terms the promotions/games are subject to change at any time without any explanation...Should the $100K series return next month, you will have your ticket returned." At that point I asked if they expect the players to just sit and wait for when the 100k 'Might' come back. The response was, "That is correct sir...This is a decision made by management and it is final."

Am I way off base on this in feeling like they effectively stole all of the fees that were collected for the satellite that I participated in? They allowed the satellite to run when they knew they would no longer be offering a 100k tournament, and that the winners of the satellite would never be given the opportunity to use/realize the winnings.

What can I do about this, if anything? Obviously never playing there again is probably the answer, but what do I do about the winnings I'm being cheated out of?

Connection issues seem better. Support had me run the client as administrator which seemed to clear up the weird error message I had. Persistence got me logged in again.

Boost was running at 10nl and I cleaned house last night... ended at 42bbs/100 over 850 hands

I received a reply from Customer Support about my issue with the free HUD causing the poker client to freeze and then close. This is the second issue I've contacted them about since joining BOL last month, and I'm really pleased at the fast response time.

"Kindly be advised that most players in a specific region in the USA are receiving the same error as to what you are receiving. Please note that we are having some intermittent connection difficulties at this time, and our IT department are working on the issue and trying to get it corrected as soon as possible.
We do apologize for any inconvenience caused."

Happy that at least now I have acknowledgement there is a known issue and that they are working on it. The timing of the HUD still being out of commission couldn't be worse for me though, because my $10,000 New Player Freeroll is today .

It's probably time to quit delaying buying PTR4, unless I do the HEM 30 day free trial and hope the free HUD gets fixed in the meantime. I'm a rec player, so have been putting off making the HUD investment for years, although I've done the PTR free trial twice, always used the free HUD at Carbon when they had it, and now the free one at BOL.

I'm currently playing almost every day, so it really does make sense for me to have my own HUD instead of relying on a free one, which can get taken away at any time. I know it's not that expensive and totally worth it, so I'm sure I'm just being penny wise and dollar foolish . Not really looking for discussion about this from you guys here - just trying to talk myself into doing what I know I should and quit trying to get away cheap, lol. I know the money I make winning versus losing will more than pay for it.

No HUD joy for me today . Found out ITT that PTR and HEM require also buying Card Catcher program for additional $$$, so decided to go with DriveHUD free trial, which someone posted works with BOL "right out of the box". Well not so today. Maybe the Mercury retrograde is still screwing stuff up, lol.

Have emailed DriveHUD support but of course developers won't be in til tomorrow and maybe not then since it's MLK day. Program won't recognize either my User ID or Screen Name. I wasn't sure which to use so tried one, then the other. Both show up as Unknown where site name should be. When trying to import history I get a weird msg that says "The calling thread cannot access this object because a different thread owns it", whatever that means. Then a box comes up saying the program needs to close, which is the same box that I've been getting with the BOL poker client and HUD. I don't think the DriverHUD issues have anything to do with BOL's issues but maybe they do.

Anyway, I'll be flying blind and forced to rely only on my brain for the best reads I can make in today's tourny, lol.

Literally five minutes before the $10,000 New Player Freeroll start time, BOL issued an update to the free HUD. At least it hasn't shut the poker client down, so seems ok so far (fingers crossed).

Oh, man. Sorry I misled you. Drive HUD free month worked for me through all of Dec. I had some interactions with their rep here through pms and he mentioned that bol just had an update, but it sounded like driveHUD already had an update to catch up with it. I'm planning on buying it when they roll out more crypto options in a few days.

As an aside, does your bol nick mix up your name with a political ideology? If so, we've played some hands together.

Another absolutely SCUMBAG decision made by the people running Chico poker. You're correct in thinking that they stole from you and everyone who played the satellite. Give FlopIt some compensation!

I'm sorry to hear about your situation FlopIt. Personally I'd email them every day until I was compensated just on principle. It may not be worth your time though.

Yea I actually thought of withdrawing with Ethereum, but was afraid to since my original deposit was with bitcoin. For now I’m leaving it on Blockchain but once they have trading available in my state I’ll trade it to Ethereum and then withdraw.

FINALLY got my wire from TigerGaming.

Date Requested: Dec 5, 2017
Recieved: Jan 15, 2018.
Amount: 2k USD.

After emailing back and forth and being told that they had sent it and me insisting they didnt I was told to send my bank statements which I did on Friday. Didnt hear back from them after that and then what do you know, my wire shows up the next business day. Interesting.

Lesson learned for me. Time to get up to date with Bitcoin for moving money around on US sites. Shout out to Evil Greebos post for helping me out with that.
