[Pokerbros] Discussion thread [Pokerbros] Discussion thread

At the request of KptBomba, I figured I would start a separate thread for people to discuss the new app Pokerbros as to not derail any other threads in this section. I guess people can ask questions about it and post their experiences here.

So far, me and some of my network are seeing MUCH softer games than we are used to seeing in other places. I have been impressed with the lack of glitches with it being a new app. I have also been impressed with how quickly improvements have been implemented with updates.

I believe it is set up with similar functions to other poker apps to make it easier for users to adapt to and it not to be such a task to learn the interface.

We’ve decided to bring this into the open, and are going to allow paid advertising of offers in this thread. We’ll be starting with one in this thread for the next month.

We in Two Plus Two management want to make it clear that 2+2 is not in any way endorsing anyone that is permitted to advertise in this thread. This model of poker room/network means that your money is under the control of the club or agent you are dealing with, which might sometimes be a single person operating out of their home. That doesn’t mean they can’t be extremely reputable and honest, but it is much more difficult for anyone to do proper research on an agent or club than it is for a poker site. It’s much easier for someone to become an agent, and then disappear one day. We all know that even large poker sites can sometimes close and take your money, leaving you with little to no recourse, so, we recommend not to deposit more than you are comfortable losing in case that were to happen; such a precaution is even more important in this case.

Those who are interested in advertising should contact me via PM, or the email address in my profile.

At the moment, it's just "Big Hal" and "whatwonder" that are, and the one way to tell is their custom undertitles (what it says under their screen name; mine is "2+2 Ad Man", for example) - only administrators can change those, so if it says anything about being an "agent" or "rep", then you know that's something authorized by us. I expect we'll be adding one or two more people over the coming week, and will max out at those 3-4 for now. We want to provide the opportunity for agents and people seeking agents (and of course make a little money to pay the bills) while not turning the thread into a spamfest. For that reason, I'd encourage people to contact the advertisers directly with your questions, when possible.

@Kittrell87 Thanks for making it a separate thread. Think with recent proliferation of the new apps we should keep it separated and civil.

To say something nice about new app I am impressed with how innovative they are. In a space where literally 6-7 companies tried to build PPPoker copies they made it distinctly different. It is very refreshing. There is so many little things you can tweak there that PPPoker never even thought of . Not to mention a bigger variety of games than PPPoker already.

One downside is no Progressive K.O's and SnGs which is quite a bummer.

I would think that if they have enough customer base with a desire for these games that they would at least consider adding them. I am sure their main concern right now is getting completely operational and efficient before adding the "extra" stuff.

I would say that there are somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 U.S.A. based clubs in unions on pokerbros right now. There may be more, but some owners have multiple clubs so I didn't count the extras. This number is just a close guess.

A lot of the features are definitely recreational friendly which is good in my opinion. Anonymous tables at certain stakes, no PC version unless you try and use an emulator and then no HUD also in app which is great! I think the app is managed here in the US also rather than over in Asia which would definitely help the US clubs on these apps I imagine.

Nah, they seem to be based out of Seoul, Korea. The app is purely a skin of PPPoker. Nothing more...

Exactly. The options are all in the exact spot, diamonds exact same.
It’s literally the developers second skin. Stay away.

If you were designing a new and improved automobile would you put the brake pedal on the right side and gas pedal on the left side? Lol. It was designed similarly for users to easily adapt to the interface.

Yeah I mean if you're trying to beat your competitors you
don't just throw out everything they've done and built over the last 3 years developing the app. They've obviously copied them and built on it similar to what UPoker tried to do. I don't think that's a bad thing.

Does anyone know if you're allowed to join more than one club and play multiple tables across both? Don't see anything about it in their app or on their TOS and want to ensure I'm adhering to their rules. Thanks in advance.

How many tables are you trying to play? There is a mult-table function within the app that will allow you to play 4 tables all within the same club.

Does anyone know who any of the usernames are in terms of their real identity? There must be some pros known in the poker community that do play on there

No but you can make unlimited names unlike Ppp, so they can have indefinite names and keep switching.

Anyone know about the club “Degen Town”. I’m familiar with the union, but not sure if the agent is someone I should be with.

I have seen nothing but 1 outers and stupid beats on this app so far. It is 100% rigged for action. The fact it's all 6 handed tables and somehow 3 people smoke the flop or a piece of it every single hand is insane. Screams PPP and all it's BS again, and heavy collussion.

def heavy collusion. No difference between ppp and pokerbros. I am done with this garbage app too much cheating and other bullshit

It’s not all 6 handed so don’t know what you’re on about there, maybe your club has FR restricted. What are you playing? NL? It doesn’t seem nearly as full of collusion as seals either clubs plo, atleast ime.

oh, the oranges are trolling now? cool... anyway, I was able to get it to work through sheer incompetence. the download wasn't working on my phone so I tried on my laptop, it asked me to verify my google account, which I did. after that I was prompted with a message saying the download would start soon. waited a bit. it never happened on the laptop so I just closed it. magically, it was installed on my phone . whatever, it worked.

my agent later informed me the problem was likely because they were under review by the playstore and that it should be approved any day now. hope this helps non-apple users.

Magically it was installed on your phone... because it’s a phone app. I don’t think you can install it on a laptop without some sort of emulator.

As far as I know, there has never been a time when oranges didn't/couldn't make the occasional joke.

Glad to hear your issue is resolved.

I enjoy the pokerbros app and the action depending on which club you are in. Don't believe it is rigged and have had no problem with fast cash outs.
