It was a wise step from Bodog to open Bovada.lv so that they had divided the risks. And personally I don't have any problems with Bovada's deposits/withdrawals.
my payout from bovada has bounced and the site is not making good on it, i have been ripped off so please think wisely before making a deposit on this site, i am not disgruntled or trying to bash the site, i am just letting alll the poker players know that bovada.lv is sending out bad checks and they are not making good on them thank you

And again, you are providing no evidence or proof of your situation.

Sometimes, yes.

oxy, in 7 years of playing there, I've never heard a legit case of a check bouncing and Bodog/Bovada not making the situation right. Sometimes it takes persistence and time, but in the end, they make amends.

I had an issue with my payout last month. My banks refused to deposit my check. It took 11 extra days with a few angry calls and emails to get bovada to stop the payout. I was told to do all kinds of things before they got the point (my favorite was bovada "advising" to deposit the check in the atm after the branch manager at both my banks explained why they refuse to accept the check). Call bovada and send your docs in they will make it right.

Checks bounce from time to time for some reason. Ive read where a check from bodog/bovada bounced one day then good a couple days later after being told redeposit. I know your angry but keep calling they will get the point.

PS: Bovada is the site you've played on for years. Same management, same CS, same payment processors, etc.

Your obviously not familiar with Oxyman.

Karma IMO. I probably wouldn't feel sorry for him if I heard Calvin and Onus snuck into his house in the middle of the night and raped him.

You will usually be given the money after the week is over.. so you'll probably get $25 in your account (straight cash) on the 15th or 16th.

Just noticed that that page is titled 'Untitled Document'...someone over there needs to work on their html proofreading. =)

Also, anyone want to crunch the numbers on the EV of next week's Blackjack bonus?

^^^ The only bonus that sounds reasonable are the poker bonuses. I don't play in the casino or bet on sports but they seem like you have to spend alot to a small bonus with those. The poker bonuses are fairly easy to get when compared to the others.

Howdy:

I'm in the USA and started playing on Bovado when Bodog handed us over. Anyway, I have never cashed out of Bovado (or Bodog). I'm thinking of cashing out about $150-$300. It looks like going the check route avoids a fee.

My question: Has anyone cashed out this way and if so how long did it actually take (they say 3 weeks on their site -- does it take that long?).
Did it go smoothly and did you have any problems cashing the check?

Is there some strategy on Bovado I'm missing? I play the turbo tourneys. On many tables, there are many players that seem to wait forever to make their move. Why would players whose stacks are not deep kill so much time EVERY hand? This happens almost from the start of the tourney. I can see it late in the tourney near the bubble when you have a low stack and are just trying to squeak in. I can see deep stacks doing it as the blinds go up. But early in the tourney with a mediocre (or any) stack?

What am I missing?

This only seems to happen on Bovado. I never saw this happen much at Stars or Party. I'm in the USA, so I am stuck at Bovado. However, I do like the anonymous tables and I seem to be doing very well at these tourneys, so I shouldn't complain.

But perhaps I am missing some strategy here.

It is probably people either multitabling.. or people playing on the interwebz..watching a movie.. playing a video game.. or one of a million other things... and their table isn't popping up to the front.

1) anonymous play - allows potential for collusion, bots, etc. Did not eliminate hud ability completely. Got rid of things like avatars and location display which fish loved to discuss.
2) eliminated ability to see mucked cards even tho u can ask to see them at casino.
3) reduced sound options to all or nothing
4) if u have sound on then the alert goes off when the hand starts being dealt rather than when it is your action. Causes tons of players to timeout.
5) removed the 3/4 pot option.
6) removed the already crappy rakeback option of converting pts to cash and offer pts to tourney toys instead. Awesome benefit for cash players like myself.
7) whenever you are in the middle of typing something clever in the chat box and another table pops up it clears what you have typed.
8) the hero is not in the same spot on each table and the highlight of your seat is so faint you time out trying to find out your position before u can act.
9) table windows are even more laggy
10) lobby is even more laggy when clicking on what u thought was a table w open seats
11) balance takes forever to update when u close your tables. Sometimes u have to relaunch.
12) there's no longer a warning sound right before u are about to timeout.
13) the lobby doesn't save what games and stakes you left unchecked the next time u log in.

Merry Christmas to us courtesy of Bodogada.
Haven't been keeping up the thread as much as I should, but has anything on this list been fixed?

It takes around that time, could come earlier. Check out this thread for a better idea....

@compiler

Imo its because of the crappy sound options. Either players have turned off or down the sounds because you cant play sound on player action only. I admit I have been guilty of it from time to time. It makes most sngs nearly unplayable as usually happens at least once per hand.

Are they ever gonna fix their tournament lobbies? Pretty damn annoying to not know any details of a tournament ever.

^^^ The lobbies do work, they just take about a minute to load up the info. It's very annoying and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Haha, I noticed the same thing its ridiculous and it happens most of the time too. From the beginning to the end of most tourneys.
