- Tried to change it to yesterday, didn't work for me. I contacted bovada customer service, I guess I just gotta wait for their reply unless you have any other ideas.

Just changed the date to Friday and I can log on to my Mac as well. Just click the time and change the day to Friday on your computer and it should work.

- I did change the date to Friday, through system preferences, etc. but it didn't work so I dunno...

Games seem to be much tougher in past few weeks. I haven't played in the past 4-5 days, hope the action is better due to March Madness. I think all sportsbook/poker sites the action drys up outside of major sporting events. Can't wait for the NFL to start!

the only certificate that I have that expired overnight is titled "TÜRKTRUST Elektronik Sertifika Hizmet Sağlayıcısı"

can anyone else confirm similar conditions on their mac?

it seems updating certs on a mac seems to be rather bothersome.


the games have been a little hit or miss the last two weeks, yet i ran up 5k on cash the previous month, so ymmv. the tourney's have been pretty soft too.

if you are experiencing this issue and the date fix has helped, please spotlight open "keychain access"

select system roots and all items for category. then sort by expiration date and see if you have the same certificate i named above. title is "TÜRKTRUST Elektronik Sertifika Hizmet Sağlayıcısı"

Just rolled the date back on my macbook air a day and the 'handshake' issue is resolved.Thanks for the info.

Found the same certificate - any idea how to update it? Or, do we just keep rolling back the clock?

Will deleting the expired certificate fix the issue?

I have three other certificates from the same place that have later expiration dates (9/2017, and a couple in 2017). Curious if deleting the oldest would fix the whole issue..

Rolling back the clock does work, however it also causes some other programs on your computer to not run correctly. Is there a more permanent fix? I found the same certificate that is mentioned in this thread, but dont' know what to do about it? Anyone heard back from Bovada about it?

yeah, that's the crux of it. I noticed that i have the same certificate with other expirations, so i went about trying to find it to delete with no luck. I then went into keychain access and selected the expired one. I went to get info and selected to never trust this cert. reboot and flush cache (just to help if needed). no luck going on bovada. so then i went back to keychain access and changed the trust level on the cert back to system default. reboot and reopen keychain access and the cert is gone. flush cache and reinstall bovada just to be sure and everything is working fine now.

if you don't show any of them to be expired, it may have been removed automatically. try restarting, reinstalling the software and flushing your cache.

I tried restarting and reinstalling, no luck.

I assume you mean flushing the DNS cache? Are there any negative side effects on other programs of flushing this cache? Thanks

Yeah.. yesterday I reinstalled teh software like 7 times with no luck. reinstalled it today, and now it works!

i'm still having the issues with the handshake as well. Rolled back the time to play tonight. Also, I noticed I don't see any tourneys registering after the tourney that immediately started. If I uncheck show registering only, I see them announced with people registered in them, but no way for me to register.

Also, it seems as though you are able to late-reg for MTTs, just not pre-reg. I am able to register for MTTs after their start time has past. Weird

date changed worked as well for me

i have 2 of those mentioned certificates but neither are expired

what is the long term fix?

i deleted the client cleared cache etc etc
