I take some of that back. My game just now was running super slow -- but it wasn't my computer, it was the site's, because the game never lost its place. Even if everything froze for a while you did not suddenly find yourself sitting out or something -- it moved just as slowly for everyone.

OTH, see the third post above -- still probably about the site, not old computers in that case. ??? Wait; I get it; Bovoda needs to buy new computers.

Does it do this every time? or just when the turn is some crazy card to beat you? almost like the player has hacked the server and his code takes a second to change the server board cards?

Glad to hear it's not just me. I thought my daughter's flash games were killing my bandwidth or something. It's so laggy right now it's almost unplayable.

only reason i (and probably most all of the people on this thread) are still playing on bovada... the games are OVERWHELMINGLY soft compared to anything else out there for US players.

i don't understand your inclination to advertise this to everyone. same with everyone posting about HEI. some serious ego problems ITT

you're right, i should be worried that posting what i said would attract a huge flock of good regs that would completely ruin the games for me

1) anonymous play - allows potential for collusion, bots, etc. Did not eliminate hud ability completely. Got rid of things like avatars and location display which fish loved to discuss.
2) eliminated ability to see mucked cards even tho u can ask to see them at casino.
3) reduced sound options to all or nothing
4) if u have sound on then the alert goes off when the hand starts being dealt rather than when it is your action. Causes tons of players to timeout.
5) removed the 3/4 pot option.
6) removed the already crappy rakeback option of converting pts to cash and offer pts to tourney toys instead. Awesome benefit for cash players like myself.
7) whenever you are in the middle of typing something clever in the chat box and another table pops up it clears what you have typed.
8) the hero is not in the same spot on each table and the highlight of your seat is so faint you time out trying to find out your position before u can act.
9) table windows are even more laggy
10) lobby is even more laggy when clicking on what u thought was a table w open seats
11) balance takes forever to update when u close your tables. Sometimes u have to relaunch.
12) there's no longer a warning sound right before u are about to timeout.
13) the lobby doesn't save what games and stakes you left unchecked the next time u log in.

Merry Christmas to us courtesy of Bodogada.
Nice post. On top of this when you "Buy more chips" in the middles of the hand, the chips will not be added and your "Buy more chips" button will fade to gray and be unusable because you "requested an amount over the limit of the table"

The auto post blind unclicks itself at times when you add chips

it actually only grays out if you win the hand you're in the middle of... so you kinda have to plan it so that you only add on when you know you won't win the hand

Yeah, Forgot that in the list. You have to end up closing the table just so you can top off. Happens at least once or twice a session to me.

I'm sorry I've been out of the loop abit. Could someone please tell me where Bovada openly admitted they don't want winning players?

well, mainly to answer all the people in this thread that ask why anyone would still want to play there.. trust me, most people are too hung up about the crappy software and anonymity that the soft games won't sway them.

Though IMHO the anonymity idea is bad. It removes all social element of online poker. When I was a complete n00b what kept me addicted to online poker was the fact that I was playing against 'real people'. Trying to get reads on people was a big part of the fun. "This guy with the joker avatar bluffs too much, I'm gonna get him next time I play". "This guy with the Will Smith avatar is a super nit", etc. I don't see how it's fun to play against numbers.
