Alright back on-topic. Did anyone notice that the cashier is completely different? It goes straight to a web page, and the old "e cash" statement is gone, just tabs for deposit and payout. No way to check bonuses, no way to check balances, nothing. So if you're one of the ones that never gets an email from Bodog whether you opt into a promo or not, you have no clue where extra money comes from, or no clue how to track down money that might not show up in the cases where Bodogavada doesn't opt you into a promo.

Click on account or go directly the website to see your ecash statement. The last couple promos were open to everyone so it looks like they have discontinued the opt in concept.

Starting a few weeks ago, Bovada crashes and shuts down on me about 30-45 min into a session. When I run Bovada again I lose most of my tables unless I was in a hand when the software crashed. It just keeps doing this over and over again every 30-45 min. Been playing Bodogovada for a year and never had any problems like this before.

Are you using a HUD while you play?

see stuff actually can get done. i'm sure they've been working on it but posting bugs here AND emailing them definitely will go a long way in getting stuff fixed. i'd like to think posting it here a few days ago and emailing them had something to do with it heh.

Since you seem to have a good line of communication with them can you see if you can get a list of what was changed/fix in this update?

These may be stupid questions, but if anyone knows the answers, I would really appreciate it.

For many of the freeroll promotional tournies that you have to qualify for, there are actually 2 different freerolls listed for each promo. (i.e. the 5K diamond freeroll has one tourney starting at 8:20 PM and another at 8:25 PM. And the 25K Party Promo freeroll has one tourney starting on Feb 8th and one starting on Feb 9th.

I have tourney tickets for these events, but I don't know which one to register for? It seems it will let me register for one but not both? Does that mean they've split it into 2 different tournies? So do both the Party Promo freeroll tournaments have 25K prize pools? Or did they split them up and each has a 12.5K prize pool? And if you can play either but not both, why are there 1200 people signed up on the Feb 8th Party Promo Tourney but only 600 people signed up for the on on Feb 9th? Wouldn't you want to play in the one with less players if they have the same prize pool, I'd expect them to even themselves out and not have twice as many in one tourney?

More than likely I am just completely missing something here so thanks in advance to anyone that shed some light on this for me. I emailed support TWICE this week and didn't get a response either time.

Great question BTW. I asked via live chat and they are both 25k and can only register for 1 or the other.

The note feature is worthless except for using it in the scheduled tournaments.

It's plenty useful, just not in the way notes have been in the past. A really good use for it is to tag player tendencies, and then be able to easily tell if the player you have a read on is still at the table. Example: player 4 calls too much with weak top pairs. 2 hours later, hey wait, was it player 4 or 5, was it the table in the lower left or lower right? Very useful for this imo.

And yes, I started playing there again. Yes I've tested it out already, and yes, I'm signing my name to this post.

I haven't posted in internet poker in over a month. And haven't really cared to check, really. There is no reason to think the anonymous tables are gone, are they?

What are people's general opinion on Bovada? They've sent me a few promotional emails on bonuses hoping to get me back to deposit, which I've ignored, lol.

You can do the same thing by just remembering the style of play. I do it all the time in the SNGs I play. If you can't save the note it's no point for me but if you like it that's good.

BTW I don't have a problem with you signing your name lol.

Still the best option for me because of the payout situation. I hate the anon tables because i like to know who's playing with me plus I can't really have good conversations like I used to.

I just noticed they enabled note taking.

Do these notes last only for the session or are they permanent? (crossing fingers for permanent notes)

As soon as you, or your opponent leaves the table, the note is deleted.. virtually useless.

A big reason why I used to love bodog so much is because I got my payouts so fast through MG. Had to pay a small fee but it would be worth it to get your money within 24 hours. Is that still the case? I'm kinda over the anonymous table thing at this point. It's whatever for me. Not like I'm playing for tens of thousands of dollars anyway. As long as they supposedly fixed their security issues I was hearing about.

LOL. So here's a good example, think cash games. You have a specific read on a player at your table. Something happens, phone, door, whatever, you sit out for a few hands, go to the bathroom, whatever it is, come back, sit down. Meanwhile, that player leaves and a new player sits down. With your read you don't know that the player left and came back.

Now if you put a note on the player, and get into a habit of it, this time when you come back there's a player with no note icon, so you immediately know that the player isn't the same one you had the read on.

Also, I did get a reply from Bodog. Well, first they gave me their press release for the new client release and anonymous players, lol. After that, they sent this:

Thanks for contacting Bovada Poker Customer Service.

We understand your inquiry with regard to the latest update of our Poker software. We also apologize for the confusion caused by the previous correspondence.

Here are the lists of the changes that we have made in the recent upgrade:

1) Player Notes

Players will now be able to take notes on their opponents in a cash game or tournament. Please be reminded that notes will only be temporary and will not be saved. Additionally, notes will disappear once the player or their opponent leave a cash game table or a tournament is complete

2) Tournament Displaying Incorrect Players/Rankings -

We have received reports from some players stating that they are not seeing the correct rankings and information on the Tournament Lobby during the game. Players are only able to see the correct information once the tournament have ended. The update will now display the correct tournament ranking section properly.

3) Live Update

We have had reports from some players that upon installation, the live update box appears and then freezes. Some players are not able to download the software. Upon working with our developers, we have find out a fix for this error, and all players should be able to download the software.

Our Poker Customer Service Team is available by phone at 1-866-909-ACES (2237) and e-mail at poker@bovada.lv 24/7 to help if you need anything else.

Thanks,
Poker Customer Service
