I loled and I think I'm going to send this in as a suggestion lmao

Yeah, I was actually pretty confused by all people who said it was crushing a lot as it never crashed for me. I do play on MBP so I am lucky I guess.

I look to see I had same issue and did, but I could just ever so slight click enough of the "show regular tables" to unclick. I'm guessing you already tried, but use as much finesse as you can to try and click a portion. On the "show reg".

Also I play on a laptop and over the course of my session the lobby does the craziest thing. The center part of the lobby where you register for a tournament or cash game will over time start to slide down my screen. For example the center lobby has Zone written at the top, an hour into playing the words Zone Poker and the rest will be an inch lower on my screen. If your lobby slowly inched down your screen like mine over a session, then "show registering only" will inch down your screen and no longer be covered enough that you can unclick it.

The lobby moving seems to be triggered by registering for new tournaments, or cash games. After I've play 10 sng's or or played and left several cash games, it notice the lobby moving downward. Give it a try, play a long session or multiple games and monitor for lobby movement.

I can deal with all the little things that most people are complaining about (I'm getting no crashes fwiw) EXCEPT the fact that there's a setting for "Disable pop to front" that appears to be absolutely useless. I can't believe this has never been fixed even in the new updates.

Are there any Bovada reps reading this thread? This new redesign is very hard to use. Please give an "accessibility" style bare-bones option of having something that looks like old full tilt or poker stars. Giant buttons - obvious bets - easy to follow action

This software is extremely tilting.

1) Why are the buttons positioned above the options? And why are they so small?
Imagine a web form with the "submit" button at the top. WTF?

2) Why are all the "chips" gray? It makes it hard to follow the action

3) Speaking of which, where the F is the action? The pulsating ripples are hard to see, and add cognitive load

4) Buttons should look like buttons. Everything is oval shaped, so you can't tell the difference between buttons, checkboxes, and player badges at first glance. Make them 3-dimensional, so it's obvious what I can interact with and how I can interact.

5) Why can't I hide the cards I folded? The decision is past. I keep thinking I have action at tables where I already folded.

All of these issues ADD cognitive load to the user experience.

My take on this redesign - it probably looked pretty in a demo, but I doubt they collected any user feedback. It's very hard to use and worse than any of the other poker sites. I'm regretting having deposited there while ACR is getting things worked out.

Agreed on all of this, make it an experience that when its your turn to act you know how easy it is to acknowledge that 1. it is your turn to act. 2. The buttons are easily differentiated for me to see. Like differnet shapes, colors etc. 3. Like black out the screen when my big blind is up so I dont hear this stupid dinging sound i hear at all my tables, make it unique when its my turn to post the big blind cause i miss this damn thing all the time with the current setup and dont even post my blind and have to wait 10 more minutes for it to get around to me again. It is costing the site money with this lame setup.

When you join a table I dont even know what seat I am at on any of my tables unless thoroughly analyzing the seats... how ridiculous is it that you guys make the site this way. When I sit down my spot should be a different color or easily identifiable that I am seated in that position... seriously how hard can this be to do. This would make the game play experience so much better.

IMO the bottom line is that this software is not acceptable, and it should not be acceptable to their business/company either. Poker software is serious ****, lots of money is on the line, people are making high risk decisions. a good user interface and reliability is all we want, forget aesthetics and extra spice: I would litterally settle for 2D, Mario-Bros looking tables if the client would just work and the buttons/cards were displayed clearly

My gut feeling is that there are people that work at Bovada that read this thread. But they might not have the power or poker understanding to make quality changes to the player experiance. However, I believe that the squeaky wheel gets greased, therefore keep emailing and calling and posting and maybe certain things can get improved. One harsh reality is that since their poker client looks like it was optimized for mobile, instead of having a separate mobile and desktop, there are certain things that aren't going to go well in a one size fits all environment.

I like a good challenge, so I thought up another way you might be able to uncheck the box. I went into my laptop settings under display and changed my default resolution of 1366 x 768 to the lowest setting of 800 x 600. It made the poker lobby big enough that there was enough separation so that things didn't overlap as much. It made the lobby so big it was bigger than screen and I had to drag title bar over to get to right side of lobby, but bigger is better for this task. Give it a try and afterwards you can return to your normal resolution.

I found a similar thread on r/poker. We are not alone:

https://www.reddit.com/r/poker/comme...bovada_update/

There's some stuff in there I didn't even notice - like the preaction checkboxes being replaced by _totally different action_ buttons - i.e. you're trying to "fold when it's my turn" and end up calling instead because it becomes your turn while you're clicking in the area.

In Las Vegas they call it the near miss. Yeah it is bull and just another sign of Bovada going in the wrong direction. Doing this near miss programming is particularly bad for an online poker site that is supposed to be based on a random number generator. There already is a insanely huge thread with people believing poker is rigged. Rigging near jackpot misses is stupid.
