It would be nice but surely not what you'd expect them to say. They're not going to say, "yeah our business is plunging".

Im suspicious as to how much traffic they've actually lost. A lot of us are complaining, but we're still playing ots. Im sure Iggy anticipated the backlash and doubt they would would stick with a change that is actually causing them to lose money.

Just throwing my 2cents in since I haven't played the site after they switched to ignition, but is it possible winning regs have been segragated and that's why many in here are having trouble finding games? Seems possible and I also think, as someone else mentioned, that the associated player glitch may have been their first failed attempt at segregation.

Obviously if you're still seeing the occasional huge fish this wouldn't be the case, unless they just haven't perfected it yet.

I personally put up with the headaches the site started having after they screwed their client up in January 2016 for 8 months. Prior to that the site was amazing! I regret wasting time and energy for a marginal winrate during that time just hoping they'd revert back or fix ****. I can't imagine putting up with this.

While none of us have the details of their actual financials my guess is they've done the math and decided that the rake with a little less traffic and a lot less players pulling big money off the site is better for them than rake minus what winning regs were taking off the site.

Given all these issues and lack of choice in seating I can't see how one would currently be better off playing this bastardized version of cash games as compared to zone. Can't imagine winrates could have a large enough of a margin to make up for zone volume.

Businessmen can be really stubborn. Just look at Blockbuster when it came to the Netflix business model. They lost billions before they decided to get on board, but by then it was too late and they went bankrupt.

Netflix was a substitution to that product. Iggy changing their lobby is totally different.

That has no bearing on my point. The CEO of Blockbuster had every opportunity to course correct and stubbornly did not. It's not just poker players that are notorious for chasing losses.

While it's true that businessmen can also be stubborn, your point assumes that Iggy is in fact taking losses bc of this change and that they are choosing to ignore it. I'm not as certain that they are taking losses. There is no tangible evidence that traffic as a whole has dropped. No one knows exactly how the seating script works. It could be that traffic has dropped (something the could anticipate) but are spreading players across more tables, and therefore collecting more rake.

My point is just that while there have been plenty of complaints, it seems that very few regs have chosen to leave the site. Recs dgaf about traffic numbers or table selection and I doubt they have been turned off by the changes.

They may not be segregating players as far as recs/regs but I don't think they are using a next man up approach to seating.

I'm sure all the big dogs at Ignition are sitting around the table saying "lets wait for this wave to ride out. Don't worry. Traffic will increase soon! We're geniuses!"

Meanwhile as my bankroll increases on ACR......

When Bovada switched to ignitoin traffic also dropped way worse during that initial couple of weeks. This is to be expected. A lot of times the software is not so great during changes so a lot of people take little poker vacations while it sorts out. I know I do.

How does poker scout get their info? I mean....we can't even see what tables are open. Can someone explain this to me?

Even though you're clearly trolling because that's what trolls do, that's a 100% increase. I bet everyone wishes they could double their bankroll in such short time. Come up with a better troll next time.

He has a point though, i mean the micros will always be soft regardless of the site, its the action at midstakes+ that is dying on ignition not the micros.

They have to be costing themselves rake by not allowing people to opt out of short handed games. Getting a game started short takes forever. Put people on a list and when you get 5 players start a table ffs

I did have a bit of a chuckle when I saw this on their website..

Quote:
Online poker has never been hotter with Ignition’s new Quick Seat feature, which allows players to land at a cash game table faster and easier than ever before.

With Quick Seat, you simply pick your game type, choose your stake and you’re automatically seated at a table, and the benefits of this new feature don’t end there:
  • The lobby is easy to navigate – Just pick your game type, and go.
  • The mobile lobby has been cleaned up, with options for landscape or portrait view, so you only need to choose your game and play your hand.
  • With Quick Seat you’re seated at the next available table, just like a live poker room.

Note: Quick Seat will not affect Zone Poker or Tournaments.
You can also walk into a live room and see what games are going and then make an informed decision on whether to stay or leave. lol
