More sites should limit the amount of tables to 4 or 6. It's one of the main reasons bodog has always had such good games.

Does anyone know how the games are on American Cardroom compared to Bovada?

yo i used to be hardcore bodog grinder back in the day and recently logged in to my account after 2 or 3 yrs of inactivity. i had a monstrous amount of player points sitting in my account that i wasn't aware of. I'm pretty sure that i did not earn these. has anybody else had this happen? thought it was odd. it is enough points to play the 100k for free for close to a year

Anybody else notice when you try to deposit using credit card they are asking for the last 4 of your SSN? Is it safe to give this number. What about identity theft etc? Could I just put in some random numbers instead? I don't think they have my SSN anyways so how would they be able to check if its right?

Or are they asking it so they know that it's my credit card I am using to deposit.

Also, has anyone successfully cashed out while using Holdem Indicator or Online Poker Inspector. I'm thinking of buying the HUD, but don't want to use it if they won't cash me out.

How would Bovada be able to track if you are using a HUD? Do they take screenshots or are they just looking at your task manager to see what other programs are running. I'm just curious if they enforce the "no HUD" rule.

Thanks!

Subject: Terms of Service Question: 6.3. No Player Assistance Programs

"We define EPA Programs as including computer software and non-software-based databases or profiles (e.g., web sites and subscription services) and we consider access to or the ability to gather data or information on other players by any means that would not be accessible via their own first-hand experience (i.e. observation of game play) to be "unfair""

Is it okay to use a program I wrote to keep track of the number of hands people play and how much they raise etc if I only gather information during session stats against the anonymous players that I observe as I play with them on the table? The software is simple it just keeps track of some basic poker statistics. Is it okay to use because it only keeps track of data that is accessible to me via my own first hand experience. Thanks!

Response from Bovada:

What's the reason?

Not being a dick, I'm genuinely curious.

Most likely, because being bad at math and being bad and writing are two things that usually happen to the same people because of like causes (usually bad education).

Every now and then, you will get the odd rigtard who is very well spoken and thinks they have discovered the theory of rigged poker and is writing a college thesis on it, but they are usually conspiracy theorists for other reasons (emotionally bipolar, can't handle losing or criticize their own game play), and they are the minority.

When depositing with a CC, how long does it usually take Bovada to charge the credit card?

It will be just like any other transaction IMO. Pending for 1-few days, then it will officially show up.

I ask because I made a deposit with a CC at about 11:45pm on 13th and I literally just checked my statement and nothing is there. Is that normal?

I'm getting something like this. Can you double check your deposit option and see if they changed that for you? Maybe they just did a system wide change and you haven't deposited recently.

Also, why do you think they are asking this? Can we trust them with the last four digits?

Thanks so much for your help.

Noone is going to be able to do anything with only your last 4. Thats why a lot of places ask for the last 4 digits to verify your identity, its safe and effective imo

Not there on mine either. I would call them just to see why you are being prompted.

Mushmellow, just out of curiosity, is your account verified? It might be possible that this is asked on non-verified accounts as some sort of fraud prevention. Fwiw many business and online transactions require the last 4 of ss, however I understand your apprehension. Maybe customer service can shed a little more light on it. Have you emailed or called cs?

Ok thanks for your help guys! I think it's because I did not verify as I just checked with another friend who verified and he didn't have it either.

Any other thoughts about using the Holdem Indicator HUD? Will they sieze my bankroll? I plan to play the nosebleeds so I don't want to deposit large somes of money to have it potentially disappear.

Does anyone use that HUD? Any thoughts?

read the ToS, it pretty clearly says that HUDs are not prohibited.

Do people really need HUDs to play 4 tables? I'm actually loving Bovada. It reminds me of the early days playing on Cake with no HUD or tracking software of any kind. I don't even mind the anonymous thing and I sure have not seen signs of collusion at all. When this silly country regulates online poker, I will seek out the site that does not allow software and is affiliated with a sportsbook :P
