Yup...that's the only reason there's any action over here on WPN. You got it.

If you only play 1-2 tables waiting for the next round of a heads up tourney several times isn't very fun.

The HU tournys in the past never got a lot of entrants from what I saw, I play all the series ones but I didn't bother with the regular ones. They were low guarantees and I had a lot of tables already so it just made life difficult trying to play HU with 9 other tournaments. In series people can schedule around them and they have big guarantees so its much more incentive to play.

yeah i think i might get bored with a regular one unless it was a decently mid to high buy in, and even then it would probably only attract other hu regs (fun, but not fun on a regular basis)--I just liked eagerly awaiting these bdpo ones and I suppose the infrequency is what made me excited. i bubbled all 3 nlhe ones for what it's worth lol

anticipation now shifted toward sunday's main event

Anyone had a problem with the window being unbearably small on windows 8 3xxx resolution?

Hi, I am an old draw player, read a dozen or so books on holdem, and have been playing mostly on bovada zone (6 handed) for 3 months.

I have about 10k hands recorded for the microstakes (mostly $.02/$.05, $.05/$.10, and $.10/$.25) and am at +$0.16/100 and -4.65bb/100.

Leak buster is giving me an A (now), and complains about some things.

How does the quality of players here at these microstakes compare to the low stakes here?

How does the quality of players here at these microstakes compare to the normal ring game here?

How does the quality of players here at these microstakes compare to other sites that are u.s./california friendly?

Where can i find a good opening hand chart for 6 handed for a short stack and a medium stack? (the buy in is 50bb, so i need to switch strategy when my stack gets low)

Are there any good coaching programs for post-flop play? (or any good books)

Thanks

Yes. Mine is like 3800 and the main lobby is incredibly small and not adjustable. I got that resolution specifically to play multiple tables at once. The tables can be resized so I haven't found it to be too much of an issue, more of an annoyance.

Took a break from Bovada for a while, got an email last night for a 100% up to $500 reload bonus, clears $10 at a time for every 50 points. Seems pretty good, will actually redeposit and play again for this one.

How long is a while roughly?

LOL @ Bovada.... I was trying to deposit today, I was told I can only deposit $800 max through Rapid Transfer and Bovada doesn't reimburse the fees. $800 won't get me a day full of buy ins and I have to pay fees to put money on their site... WOW! Also, no reload bonus available.... Thanks but no thanks...

Another question if someone can answer (thanks!) If I deposit Rapid Transfer, does that mean I can only withdraw the same way? (seeing if I have to pay fees to get money on and off) Thanks in advance...

I withdrew all the money so I didn't have any money in the account while i took a break.

My break was for between two and three months.

I'm also a winning player on their site (profit less than 3k), I do sports bet and am a slight winner (less than 500).

No idea how/why I got the reload bonus.

Thanks for the WPN tip....switched and have been playing for the last couple days. Fishpond. Up 10 Buy Ins already. Definitely softer than anything I've seen on Bovada in the last 3 years.

edit: LOL never mind it's an e-book and it only costs $8. Not worried anymore

edit 2: I'm going to link it because it is HILARIOUS. One of his main strategies is NEVER RELOAD, just grind it down and get in the few big blinds. I'm not a short stacker, and never will be, but something about that doesn't seem right. Guy just got in 4 flips, won all 4, and is talking about how easy this strategy is. Ya, love to hear him say that when he losses all 4 in a row.

I've been short-stacking, limping, and shoving successfully for the past 30,000 hands or so at 200nl and I can tell you that a predetermined rebuy level is critical, for the simple reason that fold equity on shoves diminishes rapidly when the shove size falls much below 30bb.

Hey all, quick question for someone to point me in the right way.

I've read about huds and was thinking about buying one specifically for Bovada.

What exactly do I need? I read hold em indicator but is that it ? How do people input hands on Bovada? Complete noob with this stuff. Long time grinder but never ever used a hud.

Thanks guys ,

Time to drag race.

Agreed. I'm moving more and more of my play to WPN as well. Just as fishy (or at least close), and being able to play more than 4 tables allows for bigger winrate. not even close at the moment between these two options.

Bigger hourly not win rate, presumably.

May have to check out wpn. Plus iirc they have bitcoin d/w's.

Although, it is making me re-think my limper raise size, I have been getting shoved on much more frequently in the last few months. So, I guess thanks for posting your strategy and how to combat it?? You should find that short stacking streamer and you guys can discuss how badly you play post flop or whatever reason you choose to do what you do besides learning how to play actual poker.
