hey guys I'm needing some quick clarification about the current refer-a-friend promotion aka the "BDPO Hook Up" ....

http://poker.bovada.lv/poker-promotions/bdpo-hook-up

so am I understanding this correctly...
the maximum I can receive is $100, period(along with the tourney tickets). however I am eligible to receive 200% of their first deposit amount...this means they would only need to deposit $50 for me to receive the maximum benefit???

also will I receive the money and tournament tickets on my Bovada account immediately, in a single lump sum?

thanks

Nobody has heard from Bovada support on this issue? It seems as though others have reported it lasting 24+ hours

For those way more tech savvy than myself, what exactly is a "certificate" and what about them may be causing this. And how does changing the date remedy the issue? I've never felt so technologically clueless, I never even heard of a certificate.

So has anything fixed itself or has everyone had to change dates?

If it's not fixed for me in the morning, I will change dates.

This is the response I received from Bovada:

We have a solution for the issue you are experiencing with our Poker Software. To resolve the issue, the Poker software needs to be uninstalled and re-installed.

To un-install the Poker software, follow these steps:

1. On your dock, click ‘Finder’.

2. Click the ‘Applications’ folder and look for ‘Bovada Poker’.

3. Drag and drop ‘Bovada Poker’ to ‘Trash Can’. If this won’t work, right click ‘Bovada Poker’, then click ‘Move to Trash’.

4. Right click ‘Trash Can’ at the dock and click ‘Empty Trash’ or ‘Secure Empty Trash’. Click ‘Empty Trash’ on the notification window to confirm this process.

Before re-installing the Poker software, we recommend that you clear your browser’s cache and cookies to avoid technical issues during the download.

Here are a few steps on how to do so for Safari:

1. Open your Safari browser and click ‘Safari’ at the top of the page to open the options.

2. Click ‘Empty Cache’.

3. Click ‘Empty’ on the notification window to confirm this process.

To re-install the Poker software, you can visit the link below:

http://poker.bovada.lv/how-to-play/download-poker/mac

Once the download is complete, you can then launch the installer and follow the instructions to complete the installation.

If you need assistance or still continue to experience issues, please contact us and we’d be happy to assist you.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Hope this helps!! After I deleted the program, I switched my date back to today and it seems to be working...for now!!

Was working yesterday for me by setting date back. Today I updated my Mac OS, and now I can't get it to work with any date.

Yeah I set the date back and it worked as well but then I had issues with my Microsoft Office and I use that on a daily basis so that wasn't going to work for me! Like I said the steps they sent me seemed to fix the problem...I'll keep you posted if it stops working!!

Thank you for the post, hopefully it works for everyone. What I worry about is the recreational players not being motivated enough to fix the issue.

I did everything that EnA0129 on my own before seeing this thread except i used a copy of the software I downloaded 2 days ago and it didn't work. I repeated it using that new link and all is working well. Interestingly the problem was only on my iMac. It was also affecting the Windows client on the iMac in Vmware as well. I would have to reinstall the windows side client every time I wanted to open the software. My rMBP never had an issue. iMac is on Mavericks and rMBP is on Yosemite. Not sure if that is the culprit.

I have about .8 million hands on my hm2 bovada database. As a result, the program has gotten alot laggier than before. Any solution to this problem without erasing the database or getting a better computer?

Export your database to a folder. Delete the database from your HM/postgres. Start a new database, and if you need to access the old one for some reason, you can always reimport them. I did this and HM got a **** ton quicker.

I guess I can. I plan on buying a chromebook off amazon tonight specifically for bovada. I was looking at one with 2g, that is not enough?

I think he was answering jamesk's question. As far as a chromebook, I thought you couldn't install programs onto those? If that's the case, I think you'd only be able to play 1 table on the mobile site.

i use the bovada hand converter and pt4. both programs seem very slow at converting and importing hands (i have a 4ghz 8-core processor and 16gb of ram).

if you don't have an ssd, get one.

pt4 does not use much memory, if you have a 2-3 gigabytes you are probably ok. unless your machine is more than a few years old you are fine.

thanks

Yup...that's the only reason there's any action over here on WPN. You got it.

WPN sucks and you suck more.

Bovada crushes WPN in EVERYTHING.

Go shill elsewhere kid. God you are annoying. All I see is your name everywhere "WPN WPN WPN". Bunch of nit bum hunters on that trash site.

Can't even get action. It's a joke.

aaand there goes the end of any heads up tournaments until the next series. I really wish there was a nightly or even weekly one, they're a ton of fun.

They've tried having hu mtts many times in the last few years, and they always failed to do well. They tried nightly, they tried weekly, they tried a mid stakes and a micro stakes, they tried a small stakes (I think like a $20 buy-in), and they always performed poorly.
