There are several possibilities.
Someone's cheating or no one is cheating. Well duh, but if you go to the NVG subforum it is post after post of a cheating scandal of bots, real time assistance or collusion. The number of cheating is accelerating. It is naive to think there isn't cheating going on. But some idiots are still that naive and surprised that someone would try to steal money.
You left out a lot of information. Do you use any tracking software? The update broke a lot of the trackers, but normally you can download the hands a few days later and see all hole cards to see if anything questionable was going on. Look for hands where they helped each other reopen the action when one of them had a monster starting hand to get you stuck calling raises and all ins of one of their all ins, but the third player then folds. Look for that type of stuff. Bonition provides all hole cards after a few days, but I think after this latest update things are still broken on most trackers.
You also left off stack sizes and rebuy sizing. There are a lot of players that buying for a certain size and then win a hand or two and then leave only to re-set their stack size. For example, they buy in for 100bb win a pot of any size that now their stack size is 126bb and they leave and the immediately re-enter back to 100bb. Your post would have been a lot more informative if you had mentioned both players buy in and re-buy sizing.
Furthermore, the software often will seat you in a different seat at the table if you leave and re-sit. Off the top of my head I can't remember if it is clockwise or counter clockwise. But with three players at the table, one player could be leaving and re-sitting to get position. Then the other player says crap that and leaves and re-sit to get position.
You post is missing too much information. It could be normal behavior or cheating.
It is good you aren't naive into thinking the game is naturally safe from cheating. There are very few people that would walk into a bank and rob it at gun point. BUT there are a ton of bitches that will cheat at cards.
