I knew a player in a CA cardroom who demanded that her bb always be posted. She spent most of the day gone from the table. She just didn't want to miss being dealt into a jackpot hand.

Just seen "75bb guy" post a BB, some in this thread will realise what a rare occurrence I have just witnessed. Since he probably reads this thread, I would just like to say, haha, haha, hahahahaha at you.

Edit aaaaand he's back sitting out after 5 hands.

is it possible to play on bovada and ignition at the same time?

It's so brutal that there's no way to see which limits and games are actively running at the moment.

That's totally destroyed traffic at the cash games.

If you don't play NL holdem cash (which I don't), the site has become a joke.

Such little action at limit holdem, O8, PLO, and PLO8.

Sad!

if you still play limit holdem or o8 online as your main game in 2018 then you've been doin it wrong for a very, very long time. sad!

Totally dried up. Like I've seen zero games for a very long time.

There is some occasional action at limit holdem, but it's usually pro-vs-pro, where there's one pro sitting and waiting for action, a new player sits and they play a few hands, someone realizes it's another pro, and someone sits out.

Even PLO and PLO8 are dying. There used to be a regular PLO8 game going (only 1-2 though), and that has suffered lately.

There's still some PLO, but it also tends to be 1-2.

I don't check NLH because I don't play that as cash.

I think some of these games would recover if the idiots at Bovada would list which games had players sitting, even if they didn't want to list it table by table.

ok thanks. yeah, i've complained to both of the sites about their lobby removal too. is it just as bad on ignition? my guess is ignition would have more traffic maybe due to players not realizing bovada brought back poker.

They have the same amount of traffic/share player pools.

I play PLO pretty much every day and have no issues with finding tables in the 50 to 200 range.

The times I have checked traffic at 500 and 1K, there have been full tables running.

Basically I've never had an issue finding games, not sure why you're having issues. I'm in the Eastern Time zone though and generally playing between 6pm and midnight, perhaps you are logging in when traffic is low.

Change your passwords regularly if you're concerned about stolen data.

Heard someone just mention on a stream that a possible new ignition/bovada software upgrade is coming tomorrow/Thursday..... now I never got any email myself and normally do, so my question is has anyone else got this email and are they completely changing up the software or just updating it / fixing some bugs and what times exactly is it going down.

Agreed. I also changed my email address that I use with Ignition. An address that is different from my linkedin, facebook, twoplustwo, etcetera. Also, I use Keepass that creates and safely stores passwords for you. It's super easy and free. Here's an example of a password that took only a few seconds and a couple of mouse clicks to create . . .

No memorization is necessary, it's all stored for you and it's very easy to change it up every week or so.

If I am just playing poker, is Ignition or Bovada the exact same as far as accumulation of player points or benefits?

Why do you need to change a strong password? Aren't hackers looking for your current password, whatever it is and however long you have had it?

You probably don't need to change a strong password.
Ignition doesn't allow for the strongest passwords, they allow 15 characters not 20 and you can't put underlines, minus signs, special characters, spaces etc. The password example I used above is what most banks other than Capital One would allow you to use. But companies like Ignition and Capital One don't allow for this sort of very strong password.
I would suggest that you create a password using all 15 characters that Ignition allows for which is easy to instruct Keepass to do. Doing this may be perfectly satisfactory and you may never need to change it.
I'm just a little on the paranoid side. And I'm commenting that it is easy to change randomized passwords with decent password software if you wish to. Whether changing your strongest possible password regularly is necessary or not, I don't know.

Hopefully they dig up their 5 year old software code and just use that.

Edit: new live dealer, lightning speed seating, and for all you password guys, new 4 digit pin. Tournaments on mobile.
And new look.

"Attention Poker Players ♣️♦️ There will be an outage on our poker software tomorrow 5am-1pm EST and on our site from 5am-3pm EST. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We will let you know when the new Ignition is LIVE"

Yeah, I actually saw it mention on r/poker on Reddit last week. Super under the radar.

Last major upgrade made the software worse overall, hopefully they have done better work with this one. I do really like the mobile client already, hopefully that stays mostly the same. Being able to play MTTs on my phone would be awesome.

This is a good tool for checking out it would take a hacker to work out your password by brute force (using software to try multiple combinations).

https://random-ize.com/how-long-to-hack-pass/

Please bear in mind that hacking software has got more sophisticated since this tool was published, so you should divide the result by twelve (i.e. 6 minutes is now 30 seconds).
