Every Day.

On my iPhone, I mostly play 25NL Zone and $7 JSNG.

Been playing pretty much every day for over a year, and had only 1 disconnect during that time..I e-Mailed Bovada, and they refunded my $7 buy in, even though they didn't take blame for it.

Hoping one day Bovada offers MTT's on mobile like Pokerstars, Carbon, and several others do..

Thanks. I've been itching to lose my money online for some reason.

Other than wanting Bovada to offer MTT's on mobile, my only complaint is I wish the cards would be bigger and easier to read, such as they are on Pokerstars mobile. Bovada has lots of 'wasted space'.

They are pretty tiny on mobile, and when your eyes get tired late at night, the 8's look like 9's and the Aces look like 4's..

Awesome, it took me five minutes to register and deposit money with my cc. Last time I played online it was still "legal" and I had to use Western Union.

It's in your best interest to get acquainted with using cryptocurrency for deposits and withdrawals from poker sites. It's a faster method for withdrawals and has lower transaction fees.

Poker's just a hobby for me. I'm not gonna get in over my head with crypto to save a few bucks.

In past years, I used a Netspend Visa card and it worked well, with the exception of incurring a bunch of fees.

I thought I heard Americans can't use any credit cards on Bovada, anymore..is that not true?

Used a Visa and it went through no problem. Surprised me but they had Visa and MasterCard as options.

Does the mobile version work on an iPhone?

I currently have an Android phone and play the mobile version. I am guessing that since the mobile is played through a browser it should work on an iPhone. But I thought I'd check here first to see if there was any problems playing on Apple phone OS or default brower.

That is correct.

I'm renting an AirBNB for 6 months in Mexico and it's proving very difficult to confirm my new Bodog account w/their verification department. I've shown them a rental contract my landlord made me sign and the AirBNB confirmation, both of which show my name, the dates, and the address. Their verification dept. keeps repeating that I need an electricity, phone, or water bill from the past 30 days. That is impossible as I'm not responsible for paying those.

Anyone else have this issue before?

no, but if you have gone over this with them in great detail and they're being firm about it...you are presumably making enough money playing poker that it shouldn't be more than a petty inconvenience to call telnor and set up a phone line or something trivial in your name for that residence/address for long enough to receive a bill, at which point you can present that to bodog as proof of residence and then cancel the service. you may have to eat some kind of monthly service or cancellation charge, but if it's the only way you can continue to earn a living abroad, then just consider it a cost to doing business and eat it like a big boy. write it off as a business expense on your taxes, whatever.

at the end of the day it's not a big deal and account verification plays a major role in keeping the integrity of the games, so just handle that ****.

Yah, that was my next thought, that maybe I'd have to set up some minor bill in my name/address. Thanks

I started playing the site more again recently, had a site-specific DC last night (my other sites kept running fine/inet fine), sent them an email with hand IDs, got this reply back:

I understand your concern regarding your hands and I'll be happy to assist you with this.
Once you enter a cash game if you get disconnected the funds in your hand will be returned back to your balance if they weren't placed into the pot.
Disconnections are a common and unavoidable issue for online games. We know how annoying they are and many players experience this same issue.
When you connect to the internet, you may experience lags or loss of your connection that usually happen very quickly. This short period is enough to affect how you’re connected to our games, and cause errors while playing.
You can clear the cache and cookies on your device to help minimize its effect. Click here for the easy steps on how to do this depending on your browser.
Should you require further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Just curious, is this the form email they now send to everyone who emails them about a disconnection?
also what does the bolded part mean? The funds I had at the table that weren't placed in the pot will be returned to my balance? lol, gee thanks?

Just how negative EV are these jackpot sit and go's ???

I was spamming the $60 one's a lot. I played 50 of them, and after 50 I was down 1 buy in lol.

35 of my 50 were $120 jackpot
14 of my 50 were $300 jackpot
1 of my 50 was $900 jackpot

It was tilting hitting the $900 jackpot and then getting $0 out of it. They should change the payout structure on that so at least 2 get paid.

People played shockingly poor though. Often times one or two people would shove all in on the very first hand. I've also had players literally just sit out the entire game and blind away the entire stack.. people on here are talking about DC's.. I wonder if that's what happened to them? More than once I've gotten heads up and they blind their stack away *shrug*

Found this payout structure from 7 months ago on Reddit:

2x - 74,995 in 100,000

5x - 24,887 in 100,000

15x - 105 in 100,000

120x - 9 in 100,000

240x - 3 in 100,000

1,200x - 1 in 100,000

So if we take the jackpots out.. your expected prize pool is $165 from $180 total. So a 12% rake.

If you add in the jackpots it's ... idk.. anyone help me out? Not even sure how to calculate that. Probably doesn't change the numbers too much though.

I got out of 100,000 hands they take in $18,000,000 and keep $1,260,000 so 7%.

lbr,

you are correct.

i did some math for funsies a while back and while the jackpot SNGs (15x+) add variance and are fun to think about hitting, they are nothing more than a little sweetener when it comes to your expectation. everyone will be -EV in the 2x, but the 5x SNG accounts for something like 90-95% of your expected profit (before factoring in losses from the 2x and assuming a decent edge over the field, winning any given SNG about 36% of the time for ~8% ROI in a regular structure, which works out to a pittance in this jackpot structure)

more importantly, i couldn't imagine grinding those things without offing myself before i hit a 100k sample. you have to have a gigantic edge to make any decent money which the hyper structure probably doesnt allow. overall, definite waste of time.

I've played over 1,000 $2, and mostly $7, JSNG, and I have yet to play for anything over 5X.

At these lower levels, I can confirm many players will shove with ATC on the 2X games..

I put $500 on Ignition after all the latest ACR nonsense, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how the new player bonus works.

I should have a 100% match, but I can't follow the logic of how the bonus is released. It seemed like every 100 poker points or so it would release something...started with 5, went to 20, then 25, then the last one was 50.

But it's now been at least a couple hundred points (I'm right at 600 total), and I haven't gotten anything lately. Does anyone know the logic of how my bonus is being released? I would just like to be able to plan on when and how much will be released.
