My apologies to the mod who had to clean that up and to everyone else for my part in the derail. I won't direct my comments to him in here any more.

The software they had in December 2015 was better than today. Its no accident why it sucks today.

I played under the name Gullible at Ignition poker. I am Australian and despite the fact that online poker is banned in Australia, Ignition had no problem accepting my money. They accepted it using a disguised name and address. When I had won, what to me was a considerable amount of money, I asked to withdraw a significant portion of that money. I got an immediate reply that the withdrawal was under consideration but would not go ahead until I had verified my account. I immediately replied, asking for the verification page so I could supply what identification was required. I received no reply back and I have emailed them several times since. No reply has been sent and nothing done about a withdrawal. Disheartened, I went on tilt and blew it all back making huge bets I would never normally make. I am annoyed with myself for having done this, but I console myself in the belief that Ignition were never going to pay up anyway. I never had trouble withdrawing money when Poker Stars and 888 were available here in Australia. I am now going over to America's Card Room much against my will. I understand from researching the forums that ACR is a much tougher place to play, being populated mostly by nitty regs. I have never written a derogatory comment against a poker site, but I do believe this is warranted.

You could've just called them. How do you play under a name on an anonymous site?

They just canceled the $10k guaranteed BDO20 tournament ($100 shootout) due to lack of players.

You heard that right... they canceled a GUARANTEED TOURNAMENT, AFTER IT STARTED, because it did not hit the GUARANTEE.

This actually just happened. My chat with the support says that's exactly why they canceled it.

Can anyone else comprehend how this is fair because my head is exploding.

Apparently nobody at Ignition understands the definition of GUARANTEE.

they have a minimum # of players for every tournament, stated in the tournament lobby, otherwise it gets cancelled. this is of particular importance in shootout tournaments, where there is no late registration.

Ignition Poker accepts players from New York now? I remember they didn't allow NY players but I just saw a pop up on a website saying they now do?

Confirm?

instead of relying on another 3rd party to confirm/deny, why dont you just call them up directly and ask?

Tell him to contact support. It's pretty difficult to steal money on ignition, as all deposits/withdrawals are confirmed via email.

It’s likely if his account was closed when trying to withdraw then they have found collusion or some form of cheating or multi accounting. This is fairly common and 99.9999999% of players claiming what you’re claiming were cheating or multi-accounting in some way. Playing as a banned player thru another email/account etc.

Sorry for all the questions, im sure its apparent but im not really knowledgeable when it comes to this
It's usually not injected into your browser. It's typically a script running on a website while you are visiting it. Try going to other websites and see if your AV throws it again.

It's possible that the 2+2 site was compromised and that script injected. However, there would be A LOT more of us yelling about that if it was the case.

It's so damn tilting that there is basically no action anymore at $5/10-10/20.. Only 3-4 guys sitting out and colluding together if a unknown sits down.

I've prob got in a 1/4 of the volume last two months because of this. I recommend everyone else who plays these games to check hand histories from previous days and report them.

If the lack of action isnt because of colluding regs, i would be interested to hear why its impossible to get 4 tables of 10/20 no matter what time or day it is.

Stopped playing online a couple years ago and contemplating getting back into it. Is the easiest way to get $ on the site buying some virtual currency on coinbase and then depositing from there? What kinds of fees are there for depositing and withdrawing? One of the reasons I stopped is I was getting sick of sweating handing a check from Singapore to a bank; sounds like such issues may no longer exist. I'm a crypto noob; are there ever any issues getting $ from coinbase into bank accounts?

And, what are the key differences between bovada and ignition?

Apologies for the noob questions but fwiw I browsed this subforum a bit and wasn't able to find answers within a few minutes.

No differences between bovada and ignition. They share the same player pool.

As far as deposits go, most people use credit cards or debit cards if they're not comfortable with bitcoin. If using bitcoin, don't go straight from coinbase etc to ignition, make sure to use an intermediate wallet. If you know how to use bitcoin already then great use that. It's fast and easy.

I always withdraw via bitcoin however, it's fast and easy. Usually less than 24hrs.

Hey mate,

I think your problem is that you used a dodgy name. They accept Aussies without falsifying your name or address. Ive been playing on ignition for 4 months now, I have withdrawn +$6000 without an issue. Giving your credentials to be able to withdraw is just necessary paperwork on all real money websites.
