You should probaly state what buyin range you're thinking of playing so you can get a accurate answer to what you're asking

anyone had issues with the Jackpot SNGs not loading recently? I had my table loading at 97%, and it never connected. I had to contact support and they issued a tourney ticket.

But I agree that adding the mute option was enough if they were just trying to curtail the abuse.
Yeah, but right now I am running like a god, and I can't even say anything. If anyone else is at the FT of the $75 9 AM KO... yeah, that's me.

+1

Hardly any changes a site ever makes is +EV for regs. This is a good example of that.

I hardly ever chatted myself. But, man, I'm going to miss the types of players who revealed themselves with what the said. Players who would say they're going to "come after me" after I won a pot against them. The guys who would suck out then call the other player a donk. Limpers who got upset about preflop raises. Players who offer commentary on every hand. The guys who would type "zzzzzzzz" and demand everyone hurry up (you know they're one tabling). And my personal favorite, being accused of being a bot.

You only think that because you're slow af. The thing I hate the most about the site over the years I've played isn't the software, but the people who constantly take forever to play. It forced me from PLO to playing Zone. If the timing was equal or even remotely close, I'd be playing PLO. The amount of time people take at regular tables, MTTs, and SNGs is absurd.

Are you HUPRO? playing 100-200 HUSNGS on the site?

That guy would 4table and tell me to die every opportunity he got. from the **** im assuming your telling people to kill themselves 24/7 when you take a bad beat or don't win a hand..

Please go deposit to another site.. Good Game, Nice hand HUPRO

Edit: Reg on stars haven't had a chatban in 5+ years prob - don't need chat to be a "reg" STFU nobody cares if you berate me.. Best thing that has happened to this software in ages, actually came on 2+2 to see how the "regs" would react to this assuming people would be upset from what I hear at the tables.

Been called racist slurs nearly every day on the site (Till i disabled chat), if you need chat as part of your game you should prob just go work on your game, I turned that **** off a long time ago, but would turn it on to verify I'm playing HUPRO since he never shut up..

Bodog/Ignition is full of mental patients they should not be allowed to chat. A++++ move

for new player, does it matter what site I sign up with, ignition/bovada? is one better than the other?

The only real difference is the Sportsbook. Ignition doesn't have the sportsbook but Bovada does. If you wana bet sports put your money on Bovada.

Tcarnage, This is a bad change for everyone. for someone who always has his chat off, it's perplexing why you would be in favour of it? it doesn't affect you in any way.

And you're crazy if you think that recs will like this change, they are generally the most abusive of all.

Absolutely not true IMO. Even though some rec players might not like it, this isn't going to change them playing a game or not because they can not berate a player.

Regs should of known how to respect recreational players and this would of NEVER happened. I rarely have fish write to me on Stars (60,000+ game sample size) and I never write to them, have they left, no, am I not berating them for a reason of getting rematches and for them to deposit and try to win their money back?

I've had so many ****regs berate me that I had to turn off the chat as a winning player and not playing as much on the site (lucky for me I got options, imagine a recreational player in my shoes being berated every single day because of them playing a hand bad. (In the eyes of a reg who uses it to his "advantage")

It's insane how bad the chat on the site was, Party/Stars/888 are all about 99% better, you clearly know who is american when you are playing as a majority of them will berate you.

Even live now a days people aren't exactly talking at the tables, all the kids got headphones and sunglasses on, but even though they can talk they aren't telling you to die in a fire and using racist slurs on a daily basis.

I don't think people who are against this are exactly friendly to the "recs" in this thread by berating them for an "advantage" from my experience at least.

Edit: I'm in favor of this because

1. Will speed up the games
2. Recs will stop being berated on a regular basis

Downside yes some of the recs won't be able to berate others, but if they want to go berate people they can go on 2+2 or reddit or some other site instead.

Recs are playing poker to try and win money not to berate players, if this was the case they would all sit at the lowest stakes possible and just talk crap to everyone IMO..

Regs berating other regs is not a problem. Like you said, you just mute chat, that's what it's there for. Berating isn't going to get any less, now what you get is someone spamming well played when you lose a hand.

Your reasons for why recs do and don't play are also over simplified. They also do it for entertainment and enjoyment, limiting there interactions is just a horrible move.

100% agree.

Recs LOVE the banter back and forth in the chat. In fact, some of the best games I've played there have involved playful bashing (nothing too harsh, but more gloating and trash talking) between me and recs. They enjoy the interaction, and they enjoy the satisfaction of bad beating or sucking out on their "rivals" at the table.

With no chat, this experience is gone.

There is no more social aspect to the game.

Huge mistake.

This is really the bottom line. Everything else is just noise.

If you're playing for ROI/the long run, you shouldn't be a fan of this.
