Can't find it but IIRC Andew used to have a standing reward for people reporting HUDs that worked on Unibet (I think it was something like 50 euros), might be worth continuing.

Also please keep in mind that longer decission time is an essential and valuable buffer when you get disconnected or software crashes from time to time...

Therefore I wouldn't touch it at all. Cheers!

+1000. I am of the few that gets sparse-yet-regular software crashes and definitely need that buffer time to login back in and finish playing a timed out hand.

With regards to hand histories, I would be for a Pokerstars Boom-style hand replayer where you could get link to a hand so it would be possible to post it to social media/forums. I don't really see how it could be abused if the system had some daily limit of hands you could get links to and it used the hero-villain notation for aliases.

Hey guys, is there a list of in which European countries we can play poker on Unibet from? I will be playing the Unibet Open for the last quarterly of 2018 and want to travel extensively in Europe (am a Canadian). I know we cannot play in Spain, but what about France, Italy, Portugal...

France has Unibet.fr on the iPoker network but I think you'd need a French bank account and bills and stuff, Spain/Italy/Portugal are all ringfenced and I don't think Unibet has a client for them.

Best thing to do is once you find out your travel plans chuck all the countries at live chat and they'll give you a Yes/No for each.

ok, thx, I will check with live chat indeed (that's what I did last time) This said, from France, can I play the .com version (as I normally do as a Canadian) and by Spain/Italy/Portugal being ringfenced, does that mean that play from all these countries is forbidden?

Just talked with chat support, but I still did not get a clear answer... She told me that countries like France, Italy and Romania have their own licenses ; fair enough, but from what I understand and what I recall when asking UnibetAndrew last year, it is alright to play from these countries (and better to send an email to support beforehand to let them know). Is this correct?

UnibetPatric, is it possible to get an official answer on the following countries (I am registered in Canada) : Italy, France, Portugal, Greece, Croatia, Germany, Iceland, Bosnia, Malta and Romania, thx

You're probably not gonna get an answer from live chat that you should rely upon.

Last year I asked them whether I could play from Austria, and chat rep told me that I would only be able to play from the country in which I reside. Told them I know that's not true, since I know people have played at least from Romania during the Unibet Open. Turns out Unibet works fine from Germany and Austria as well.

I would go by this: https://www.unibet.com/terms#section-13

Quote:
13.6 Specific country exclusions: access to Unibet Poker may be restricted in the following countries: Burma, Cuba, Libya, Macau, South Korea, Sudan, Zimbabwe.
Quote:
14.3.2 Specific country exclusions: The Account Holder warrants and represents at all times not to be a resident of Afghanistan, Australia, Denmark, Ethiopia, France and other French territories, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, North Korea, Pakistan, Spain, Syria, Turkey, United States of America and other U.S. territories, or Yemen.
Since you're not a resident of any of those countries, I doubt you would have a problem playing from anywhere in Europe in form of an IP block, or suffer any negative consequences from Unibet's part in doing so.

Btw, this has been asked and discussed several times in this thread, and nobody has ever been able to provide a definitive answer. I've never understood why this matter has to be so obscure. Perhaps it's a matter of Unibet not being willing to definitively condone/market the use of their product in countries which are a gray area, for legal reasons.

Yeah, I got the same response (that I could only play in Canada) from 1 chat support last year when inquiring before going to Bucharest and then I just talked to someone else, as I knew he was misinformed. Anyhow, this is why I want to make sure with UnibetPatric as I will organize my trip accordingly.

I assume that if UO ends up being in Paris, that logic would have it that we can also play online there, even on .com, right... And I also assume that you are correct in thinking that since I am a resident of Canada, I can play from most countries excluding some like Spain, USA, Colombia (and not sure which others...).

Anyhow, thx for answering friend

I used to work in player safety before and there is nothing wrong with playing in any of the European countries except Turkey (since it's blacklisted).

So if you'd play from Turkey, your account would automatically be frozen by the system but if you have a .com account and play in Germany for instance, there's no issue, as long as it's just temporary and you don't actually live in Germany, in that case you'd have to close your account and open a new one on .de

Even if you play from a country that we don't allow registrations from (like Spain, Portugal, Slovenia) you'd still be able to play from there as it's not blacklisted to play, just to register.

Turkey, USA, Hong Kong, China and some others are the countries where play is not allowed at all.

Hope this makes things a bit clearer.

Cheers

As long as your account was opened in Canada , you can access the poker client from most countries.
I did some extensive travelling in Asia and it worked fine , but my laptop was connected to a VPN most of the time.

I am not sure if Unibet will agree on the use of VPN , but I dont see the big problem.

Never use a VPN when playing poker, especially when it is probably not necessary!
[Unibet] Official Thread Quote

No need to use a VPN, your accounts won't be blocked if you don't play from blacklisted countries as mentioned before.

If however you do it for a longer period, player safety might request and explanation and some docs to proof where you live, it really depends.

Thanks

Responding to the other trashtalk comment. Trashtalkin aint that bad. Its just play. And after it sometimes u can just talk normal. Its just a part of the game. There should be some form of communication. It makes it boring at times. What does it even matter if people are not nice to eachother. Who gives a ***.
