There are some limitations to the tracking that [insert bad software name here] products can provide however. Unfortunately, since players can change names three times per day, the ability to track players long-term doesn't exist. Your Unibet HUD will only work on a per session basis. However, this is still wildly +EV for anyone using the Unibet HUD. Imagine the edge you'll have when you are the only reg at the table using a HUD. You will be able to identify the fish more readily. You will be able to play more tables since you can more easily track the basic stats of the players at a glance instead of having to remember who is who. Imagine what that will do to your hourly rate? (hint: it will increase it dramatically!) And thus, we give this tracking software and heads up display a 5-star rating!
That blurb isn't even from the software's site, it's some rakeback site that is probably defunct. Considering the actual level of play on Unibet I'd be surprised if HUDs were a real issue. They can (and probably do) break any HUDs they know about on a monthly basis with the updates.
You're right, that HUD does claim support for every single poker site including Unibet because it uses screen scraping in place of hand histories.
This means it will break every time Unibet repositions a text box in a release.
Also, the use of aliases means it should only be useful for tracking players at the same table session as you, and how many hands will that be? A hundred hands is nothing really, and can often mislead.
Summary: nothing to worry about if you refresh your aliases daily.
UnibetPatric: I do think Unibet could do more to help players track their own results. There's no conflict between this and the policy of anonymity - Unibet could make our own HH's available to us after anonymising them (replacing aliases with generic names eg Player1). I'm sure this has been suggested before.
