If there is going to be a long haul one I would be a lot more excited about Asia (e.g. Manila or Macau) than I was be about Vegas (i.e. not at all) or would be about some other North American city.

Ok, I get your point when it comes to travelling EV and spending some extra time in the said destination, but coming from someone who has spent 5+ years in Asia and who has played cash games and APTs over there (as well as secondhand info on WPTs in SEA), it was not properly run (WPT) and the field/local interest was seriously lacking. Where as The Playground knows how to run MASSIVE size tournaments, gets it, inspires a local buzz and knows how to treat its players.

You might point out that the Unibet Open team would be the same, regardeless of the destination, and granted, it would, but part of the desire for the UO to take place outside of Europe, is to introduce Unibet to new potential players, right... A strong case can be made that more peeps in Montreal would be interested in signing up for online poker, than in SEA... and people in MTL like to gambool-gambool, and this sentiment largely precedes the Jonathan Duhamel effect (notable in itself).

Just my 2 cents. But being originally from Montreal and all, I can see the potential for a successful UO there and for new players to sign up

The loose lipped Ambassadors have given away various **UNCONFIRMED** bits of information when streaming over the last week or so..

- Irish join the poker market on Feb 14th (probably)
- First UK tour is Brighton in March and then Glasgow. Brighton will get a second stop like last year (probably)
- Live Irish stop this year and fairly soon (probably)

I like the sound of a Canadian UO but I think it suffers from the same travel expense issues as Vegas did, although probably not to the same extent. Not sure what the VISA and Tax implications are for various EU countries either.

I think the other thing they could try is to just expand a stop to last a full week. If the package is 7 nights in [insert hot destination here] with some poker on the side over 4 nights in rainy London it might attract more casual players. There is always a buzz about people trying to qualify for the PCA and Partys Caribbean thing so why not do something similar but within Europe?

Any leaked info on the whereabouts of the 4th 2018 quarterly UO?

Pretty sure Canada is lenient with visas with every EU country and no 30% tax withheld like in the US of A. I like Montreal, because I feel A TON of players would join Unibet. There would be logistics problems though with holding a UO at The Playground, like which hotel would host all the players...

This might entice many Canadian folks like myself to cross over to the Old Continent by combining travelling with a tournament event

I would like to see one of the unibet open freerolls changed to one that promotes the Supernova instead. And make at least one of the qualifiers a freezeout.

I would also like to see qualifiers for just 1 euro.

They tend to be more tight lipped about the UOs unfortunately.

This is a good place to go with Supernova based suggestions. Leo (the tournament manager) tends to be pretty active and is open to suggestions.

Sub-Sats make sense to me but like you say all the sats to the Nova are R/A so you're at a disadvantage with a single ticket. €2 FO sub-sats might be better so that it's a 1:5 instead of 1:10.

The flip side of that is that the overlay in these sats is pretty big. A 6 ticket GTD €10 sat ran last night with a total of 25 runners. Even if everyone added on that's still a ticket added.

2 euro is fine too. I am just looking for something cheaper than 5 euro. Something in the range of 1-3 euro. Without rebuys, or maybe 1r1a.

I've always though Re-entry would be better than r/a for these sats. The UK4 sats also suffer from this issue in that people play UK1 and win a single €4 ticket and then face guys firing €8+ on the UK4 R/A.

Again, I'd suggest posting in the community thread. I can't see Leo not trying it out for a week to see how it runs.

My guesses for this year would then be:
UO: London, Dublin, Tallinn and Bucharest
UK Tour: Brighton, Glasgow, Brighton and Manchester

Am I close @ unibetdavid?
Also, any confirmations that can be made 'soon'? Especially waiting unpatiently for the UK Tour Glasgow stop dates

We have a new release today, details below:

Poker release notes 24/01/2018 - v2.14.0

Release today on desktop web, download and on Android. iOS will follow in the upcoming days.

Promotions and features integrated in the client (pages not ready yet):

- February Mission
- Queen of Flips
Quite similar to our previous King of Flips promotion. Main differences are that it's easier to collect tokens in Cash Games and you can collect them playing Sit & Gos as well. Also, bronze, silver and gold tokens compete for the same top prizes. However you start closer to the top prizes with a gold token compered to a silver and with a silver compared to a bronze.
- Valentine's day promotion (14th and 15th February).
- Cash Game tickets should now work in NLHE and PLO (so you can use the same ticket across gametypes)

Bug fixes:

- Stability improvements to prevent crashes
- Fixed issue causing opponents avatars to sometimes not be visible at the tables

We were expecting to launch in Ireland this week but there has been a slight delay, that's expected to come in February now.

I'll also be able to post details of Double Trouble VIP Edition in the coming week or so, that will launch in February and should especially affect our high stakes cash games and SNGs.

One significant change we have made in January and February is that the main promo (UO Slot and Queen of Flips) are also available for SNG players.

Lastly, our sponsored podcast The Chip Race recently featured Phil Hellmuth as a guest and he was very open and honest about his personal life and early poker career. Tuned in on the way to work today and it's quite a fascinating listen.

https://soundcloud.com/thechiprace/t...l-barry-carter

Hellmuth interview starts at around 53 minutes in and continues in the next episode.

Sorry I can't, I know there was some leniency in this thread previously when it came to extending welcome bonuses but I need to set a precedent otherwise it's different rules for different people.

Thanks for the report, I'm assuming that when a player has Super Double Trouble the email only contains info about that tournament and if that's the case the copy could be improved.

Hope 'your friend' has been running better since then.

Maybe the payout structure should change to give higher value tickets to #2 and #3.

We're having a chat about this internally now, agree that the current logic is a bit... illogical.

It looks like the community thread which was linked might be about something slightly different, that looks more like a bug.

Marco moved over to another team and I think Jeppe happened to get ill at the same time so there was a bit of a slowdown on the community site. I met the new guy in that team last week though, he seems on the ball though so am sure it will get back up to speed shortly.

I'm sorry but we can't exchange these tickets as they were received via a promotion.

By the way, I am trying to bet the Patriots at -7 or less and the Eagles at +3.5 or better. Just putting that out there
There was a discussion to look at adding live sports betting odds to the client a while ago but the dev work involved proved to be prohibitive. Adding a generic sports betting link seems obvious though, we'll discuss here at some point and see if it can fit on the roadmap.

- First UK Tour stop will be Brighton from 23rd - 25th March (only finalised this morning). We'll get the site page updated ASAP and email info out to qualifiers next week.
- 2nd UK Tour stop will be Glasgow on 29th June.
- Can't confirm live Irish stop this year but it's something we're working towards. If it happens it will probably be a one-off event on top of regular UO and UK Tour schedule.

There should be a ratio limit to running r/a tournaments. Ive stopped playing uk tour because of the r/a. Won my first non unibet ticket last night.Tbh i felt a little sad.

Best live events ive been to over last 10 years are Punta Cana. 1 week all inclusive.Never fun to get knocked out with a bad beat but at least you can drown your sorrows on the beach with free booze. It may not be viable to run this as a stand alone. Will prob have to join someone elses tour. ie punta cana poker classic. There are obvious downsides to this but it does drive traffic on site and an excellent experience for winners. No grief from the mrs for about 6 months was an added bonus.

An all inclusive european destination would be interesting.

A week long festival type UO even with a higher package (say 3k euro's) would be really cool and would bring better value to people that have to fly/expenses to attend.
[Unibet] Official Thread Quote

If it was like that as a long week holiday then maybe the main event should be done accumulator style - i.e. you play 3 day ones with 3 stacks and they all move forward to day 2. That way everyone gets 3 days of play rather than potentially getting knocked out on the first hand and being excluded from the fun.

hey, support guy, I lost my wallet and I'm in the process of getting everything back. I will upload if they can wait a week to ask for ID. If not, I'm not uploading just for you to hold it until the card comes. Do you trust me? I promise within 2 weeks my ID will be in there. The lady said 10 days for it to come in the mail. Do you think i should just wait? I really want to give you guys a go now.

No, they don't have a banking licence.

I know some sites have that but it belongs to the wild west era of poker - basically looking for ways to help American players get round their banking system.
