Hi 39, I'm not sure that's what Unibet have done, I'm sure Andrew will tell us. Last month we all got the same size slice of the cake, this month the bigger players get a bigger slice, it doesn't mean there is a smaller cake. Like I say this isn't wrong but it is a change that relatively advantages the bigger players at the expense of the smaller ones. Again I don't want anyone to think I'm not happy, I am, Unibet offer a great package of rewards. It's just a fact that this month I'm worse off than last month.

Hi Andrew! Could you convert some of my tickets, please?
1.My €1 UO tickets into €2 UO tickets. (I think it is 5 €2 tickets)
2. My €1, €4 and €10 MTT/SNG tickets into as few MTT tickets as possible (<=€25.) I think it is 3 €25 MTT and 2 €4 MTT.
3. I was lucky enough to qualify early for Tallinn and Cannes but I think 3 months is too short time for tickets that can only be used in Wednesday or Sunday finals. The €250 tickets used to be valid for a year plus you could use them in the UO online finals. Now you have to be very careful if you have more than a few. Could you by the way extend my €250 that expires on August 10.

First, ticket credits - they might not show up immediately because the backoffice is doing a big job at the moment. But they should be in eventually. Please let me know if I've said I've done something in the below post but nothing has happened.

It looks like the slot was popular. The good thing is that we have the mechanics built now, so it'll be easier to build a new copy in the future. I don't want to have promotions run for too long, but I definitely want to periodically bring back old favourites.

This has been a rather frustrating month - the big 1.6 problems at the start, and now a release that didn't really change much except fix that problem. The problem with low season is that not only are players on holiday, but so are staff. This must be what it's like working in product development for any other poker company.

At the moment, I think the chances are very good that the new login screen and table priority will make it into the end of August release. I am hoping for tiling too, but we shall see.

Yes. The developers think they've fixed the bug, but couldn't complete enough testing to include the code in yesterday's release. This seems wise to me given the problems with not finding the big 1.6 bugs in testing last time. I think the chances are very high that play another will be back for next release.

I guess it'll be interesting to see what effect the option actually has on games.

I think that one approach to low season is to try to make it not happen by putting out your biggest promos. Another is to just weather it and save your money for peak season.

Personally I prefer the latter approach because I don't want to try to force people to do something they don't want to. I'd rather encourage them to do more of something they already enjoy. Poker can be a frustrating game and you don't want to make that worse (asides from seeing a flop of three of a kind....)

That's why I am a bit ambivalent with happy-hour style promos. I think in moderation they work well, but some sites go crazy with them by trying to make people play when they don't want to.

More generally, we can put more money into promos that have secondary benefits. For example, I think it was a good plan to put money into PLO via the rake race a couple of months ago. In that case, we actually did make money immediately, but what matters is that the games still run more than they did before the promo. This is also why I'm disappointed in the 1.6 problems, because it undid a lot of the earlier investment we did with that type of promotion.

If we can find situations where we think we'll get a great return, we'll have generous promotions.

For the August mission specifically, I wanted to make it nice and simple and uncontroversial because we are introducing new functionality too. This is the first mission that includes OR instead of just AND. When I'm asking the developers to do something new and potentially complicated, I'd prefer to keep the rest as simple as possible.

This is one of those cases where we can get a better return than we could from, say, €2 SNG tickets (if we had such a stake). By spending the money here, we a) advertise UBO to a wider range of players, b) avoid overlays in UBO satellites and c) get to send more people to the actual final, which is good for retention and for PR.

We ran this for a loooooong time on MGS last year - mostly because we spent all our time building this new client, rather than building new promos - and it definitely falls off in effectiveness as time goes on. But I favour bringing it back it now and then as an old favourite.

Re-reading my last couple of posts and I realise I'm a bit down on the developers. It's just that the work of the first few months was so good that I'm disappointed that it can't go on forever. Andrew, there's not much action on fast holdem, and I believe it's because there are 7 ads going on in the poker client. It would be nice to see a pop-up advertisement for the fast holdem promotion. Could you do something like that to work the player pool up?

I think that action will pick up as the day grows older - we're in a quiet part of the day, on the first day that these games started running again. There're a lot more mails going out about it today too.

On the broader point of popup-ads - I think that doing this just gives people banner-blindness. I remember doing an A/B test on this in a previous job, and found that they basically didn't work. People just auto-close them, I know I do.

At the moment it's hard to change the banners due to backoffice constrictions, but hopefully this can be fixed soon and we can rotate them a bit more often. That helps avoid banner blindness.

Hi Andrew, more of my views then.

In terms of the developers and you being harsh, then I think you need to be honest and fair (which you are). You need to recognise that they did a great job in building it and give praise (which you have) but the 1.6 client was a disaster, you had record rake and then a load of disconnections, bugs and unhappy people (you included). It will take time (and maybe more money from Unibet on some games) to recover from that. That was avoidable and the developers have cost you money. It's old fashioned "praise where praise is due", but not being afraid to say "we, or they got it wrong". I think you do all of this already. if you trawl back through the forum, most of the issues have been software related with a few centred around support issues and a lot of praise for you. The developers are in a slightly harder place as everyone expects everything to work right all of the time, no complaints=success. When we get a few weeks with everything working perfectly I'll come back and give praise, but they aren't there yet.

Found a bug in the minor holdem challenge get dealt QQ in the big blind. I completed this challenge twice when i got dealt KK in the big blind while the challenge states it is only QQ and not QQ+ Not sure this is working as intended

No, the fast hold'em tables typically pick up in the late afternoon and evening, until then they always were rather empty unless a promotion ran that gave away cash tickets with low requirements.

I see your point, but if it pops up only a few times in a week or month, people will read it. I remember when there was the Blaze Cannon promotion on Microgaming Network. Every time you opened the client, it showed you the promotion. It worked perfectly, and fired the player pool numbers up in the sky.

Also, I find it sad that there are no sng-specific missions like last month.

Do you remember our conversation when I said that the Unibet website always geo-forced me to the German version and I could not select the language on my own? This seems to have changed now.

On this particular note, there is a mistake in the banner for the August Mission in the software client. I will PM you the screenshot and suggested change.

Also, for the German text of the August Mission it says this:

I would recommend to change Ass-Paar into "Paar Asse" as it sounds much better.
