Thanks, and I agree. I don't think this has been escalated properly, something has gone wrong between the CS contact and the poker team. I've started chasing it today and hopefully we'll a) figure out what is wrong in the client and b) figure out a better way for customer service to let us know when something is wrong.

Of the 25s, I found one where you blinded all the way out and one where you blinded out the first few hands but then played on. I've refunded you 25 for the former, I don't think I can for the latter though.

What's your alias? I can credit you with a new ticket. I guess this is a strategy decision - we can give more money away using this system. I realise this is a mildly distasteful way of putting it, but it's the reality of how these things work.

This does make sense, but ultimately it's a design decision. I'll see if there's anything that can be done.

thanks for the great response again,

i will try to get to 2 millions points but it kind of bugs me that the unibet open is on the end of the quaterly challenge. it will be hard for me to get to 2millions points and travel to cannes for the tournament (im from canada).

Is there a way to cash that unibet poker tournament, i dont think its fair its basicaly throwing 2k euro in the fire for me. Its not worth it for me to travel with 1500 plane ticket, loose 5 days of playing for a 1k tournament

edit: oh and can you please convert my tickets into a 100sng ticket 25 sng ticket and a 10 sng (have about approx 140 worth of tickets) username: Proudlikeacow

thank you

Re: Unibet - Official Thread

Hi, Andrew.

Friday I was playing some cash, registered to Unibet open satellite and saw there is a 9-handed €10 MTT. Registered.

The tournament started nothing happened for 2 minutes, then a normal play began. Next, a clock on the table showed that a break began, however lobby clock was two minutes behind.

And then this happened:

I saw the lobby, nobody;s chips were moving, plus I was playing other tournament so I decided to wait. Nothing happened except my chips were down after a couple of minutes. Quit my session, restarted, everything worked well.

On the unibet open point raised by friend from canada. I was about to start to try and qualify for uo tallin, i checked flights and realised it was going to be too expensive to get there. Travel costs and expenses were not even close to covering it so did not play.

Re: Unibet - Official Thread

Hello Andrew, I would like to make a deposit using Skrill but it isn't an option on the deposit screen. I have it there as a withdrawal option.

I have asked support and they say Skrill will be an option once I have made a deposit with a Credit/Debit card. As I don't use either of these to make deposits on any poker site this will never happen. It's a shame as I like the concept of your poker room, I wonder how many others are put off depositing by this policy.

When people win a hand and leave and then return to same table, at least have the courtesy to change the alias. doing it once is bad enough but four or five times. lucky no table chat or some real abuse.

Basically, I agree, it doesn't work very well. In practice, I'm not sure what we could/should do about it. As you know, the vast majority of our players are in Europe, so we tailor the package for them. If we make the expenses 1,500 instead, that's bad for all of them. If we say it's OK to use cash instead, it means we're potentially annoying the majority of our player base. If we do nothing, it isn't good for you. So all are bad outcomes. We'll discuss it internally.

Sure - I killed 125 of tickets and credited a 100 & a 25. The denominations meant that killing more than 125 doesn't work out as an improvement.

Thanks for the report and the details. I'll pass it on to the developers. Seems quite an annoying bug, possibly the same one that Syrgas is experiencing. I plan to spend a lot of time this week hassling the developers to get to the bottom of it.

Sure, done. I was a bit enthusiastic with ticket cancelling though and killed 70 worth and credited 7x 10 MTT. If you'd prefer I convert one of the tens back, let me know please.

From the UK? My flights from London were < 200. I think the problem with increasing expenses is that a) we send a couple percent fewer players (not really a big deal), and b) we make it harder for players to actually win due to the long term accumulation of costs.

Mostly we aren't THAT worried about b) because we aren't really aiming at the tourney pro. But I don't want to do tournaments that people can't win at.

This is filed under feature rather than bug - apparently it was too hard for the developers to have the software open tournament tables. Instead it should open the specific tourney lobbies in tabs, and you can click join from there. It's not ideal, I know. Does it work like that for you?

The ones that you only need to hit once are going to have the highest variance. I'm afraid you fell on the unlucky side of this one, but in the long term it should work out.

There is definitely an argument that the higher the stakes, the more likely that new players will go broke faster, but we also get more players and we also make more money. So basically it's down to where the balance is.

I'm not sure which side of that fence we come down on yet. Basically it depends on how often NL400 runs - if it runs more then we have to decide whether to react to the market demand, or decide forever that that's our highest stake. I prefer having NL600 and poooosibly NL1000 one day, but I may well get outvoted.

The cashier options vary depending on which country you're from. But these are Unibet wide issues rather than poker-specific, so you are better off talking to support than me.

Ratholing is a tricky one. I can't think of a reason that it would change anyone's EV. It can FEEL unfair, but I don't think it actually is. I distinctly remember thinking "now I need to get my money back from that guy" when I started out, but that isn't really relevant to how the game works.

That's basically the reason we have it that way. Plus the table re-joining algorithm favours tables you used to be on to avoid table selection.

Hm, where is this in the T&C? The only place I'm aware of a rake table is in the site rules: https://a1s.unicdn.net/polopoly_fs/1...Game_Rules.pdf which is linked off the main site rules (https://www.unibet.com/terms#section-13)

Right at the bottom of that there's cash game rake. That has the right rake percentages.
Here's the poker T&Cs. Maybe it's the old version that didn't get killed? https://www.unibet.co.uk/poker/pokerterms
Either way should get that sorted.

Looking forward to the Unibet Open London announcement.

Hi Andrew,

On the two 7s flop major at the moment and just wanted to quickly check something with you. I received a 7-7-7 flop and the major says "at least two 7s" - meaning that three 7s should count? I could be wrong but I think it didn't, the hand ID is 4860266.

One of my Alias' is Mukhmal

Cheers

Weird, that looks like the old terms (pre-Relax). Where's THAT linked from? It doesn't appear to be linked from unibet.co.uk/poker/

Re: Unibet - Official Thread

Hi Andrew, great work as ever. Nice to see it's summer and the sun is still shining!
If you can could you please turn 2 of my 25e into 5x 10 cash tickets. Either 3x PLO10 and 2xNL10 or vice versa. If not, no probs. I can't get PLO25 to work for me. Despite getting it in good most of the time it's killing me. I'll re-coup and then try again when my bank roll is higher.
One small bug. You might say it's a feature but it looks like a bug. If I'm playing 50bb and purposely playing short stacked, say I'm playing nl10. When I'm down to 3e I top up to 5e. If I win that pot say I'm all in and double up from 3e to 6e it still adds the 2e to my chips. When I'm adding the 2e I'm looking to make my stack the minimum, 5e. The software needs to be clever enough in real time to make that adjustment i.e. if I win that pot and I'm over 5e then I don't want the 2e top-up. After all when you are topping up it asks you for min or max or you can move the slider in-between. Just a minor point. Thank you Adrian

Is it me, or winning anything on slots became much harder? I never won more than 1, so not a big deal but probably for 20 spins I haven't won anything. Just wondering

Andrew, is there a way to extend my 100 ticket longer? I have to leave this weekend (as well as previous) and have 11 days left. So, at least for 5 more days.

Also, I have 5 MTT 1 and 3 1 UO. Can you exchange them to 4x 2 UO?

From a payer's perspective, I don't see anything wrong with that tbh. I don't do that myself and hate "hit&run" type, but if someone feels they can't play as well deepstack, as long as Unibet allows that, it's fine to do.

And I guess people like you hold back Unibet from thoughts of including a chat.

Sure, done. That's why I don't play PLO... It's too frustrating.

I think this is indeed feature rather than bug. The problem is that the software can't tell how much you wanted to add. Perhaps you wanted to buy in to 80bb this time? I don't think there's another way that we can do it, as it could get quite frustrating if you actually wanted to buy in to 80bb this hand, the software didn't let you, then you got double suited aces.

I'd like to avoid any rancour in the thread if possible (just in case it starts now).

I like there's no chat. I've been playing a bit of Hearthstone as I wanted to see how their emoticon chat works. Basically, people still use it to troll each other. Even people saying "well played" before they kill you - that's basically saying "well played, but I played better". I think this would need a lot of work to function properly.

Hi Andrew, no chat, no emoticons etc. For the 10% of people that will wish you well, the 90% will want to berate you and to be honest it's not healthy. It's simple as it is.

On a separate issue. How do I improve? In the past I'd have gone through hand histories looked at vpip, % won at showdown etc. I know and support that these aren't available and I understand why, but how can I best improve my game and move up, which is good for me and the site? Any advice would be welcome, regards Adrian

OK. This is the plan: if anyone outside of Europe wins a UBO package via Challenges (but not via satellites), please mail info@unibetsupport.com. We will change it to 2x €1k NL400 tickets (or minus expenses if they've already been credited by then). These will all be subject to review rather than happen automatically - but in your case I'm pretty sure it'll be fine.

I suggest reading lots of 2 + 2 hand threads. It's also good if you have some friends at the same point of the learning curve as you that you can discuss hands with.

Microstakes NLHE forum: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/69...-stakes-pl-nl/
Smallstakes PLO forum: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/38...akes-pl-omaha/

I think that not having hand histories does indeed make this process a bit harder.

Then there're various coaching video sites, or just straight out coaching. I'm not sure what's good these days, but there'll be low content threads in both of those forums where you can ask.

There might even be books that are worth reading these days. There certainly weren't when I last played seriously. Again, the LC threads can probably help.

Personally, I also spent a loooooong time in pokerstove and in Excel figuring out ranges, but that might just be because I like that kind of stuff.

+1

And tbh, recreational players don't care much about chat anyways, they'd only fancy some funny emoticons ...
