Can we play with a HUD on the new Unibet client?
If not, are you intending to keep it this way, or is it just a case of HEM/PT4 etc getting things set up?

Yes, agree, it isn't very good at the moment. When we made it we weren't really planning to award this many tickets. Hopefully this will fix itself a little with the improved Challenges payouts that award fewer tickets. After that, I'm not sure if I'd prefer to spend time improving this or spending time doing away with the whole thing and building a new bonus system. I'll write the specs for the latter and see when we can fit it in first.

Ah, surprised it hasn't been discussed in this thread yet. It was a bit in the old thread.

We don't allow HUDs. We don't allow trackers. We don't allow any kind of script. We also don't allow table selection and we let players change their alias up to three times per day. If anyone manages to develop a HUD regardless, we will ban anyone we catch using it, and we'll actively try to stop them from working.

The aim is to have a level technological playing field - we want to make poker fun again.

Next question, regarding the €500 deposit bonus.

Assuming an average buy in of €75 in ring games (so 50 and 100NL mixed equally), are you able to say how many hands you think it will require to clear the full amount?

Perhaps an idea of rake in bb/100 might help (if you are willing to reveal).

The playthrough welcome bonus is 25% effective rakeback, so you need to rake €2k to clear it. The exact number of hands depends on how loose you are.

I live in a constant state of confusion over how we measure rake/100 vs. how a player measures it (all of our data is from the site's POV and I find it confusing to convert it).

Rake at 10bb/100 from a player's POV sounds about right doesn't it? If so, I have NL50 rake at 11.9bb/100 and NL100 at 9.5bb/100 over the whole player base. If we just stick with 10bb/100, then NL50 takes 40k hands to rake €2k and NL100 takes 20k hands. So an equal mix would be 30k hands.

Andrew, Amalgamation of tickets. one of my alias is shilu. You can amalgamate to minimum 10 euro sng or mtt, whichever you prefer traffic on.
May i respectfully say an expectation of profit from expiry of tickets is not a good business model. Encouragement rather than punishment.

Hi Andrew, the software was a struggle over the weekend, glad that you think it's fixed today, i'll let you know if I have any issues later when I get going. There's still an issue over the table seating when you join. I played on 2 tables yesterday and there were only 3or 4 players and as I was trying to complete the challenge "when 2 players act before you" this was actually impossible, so I had to leave and go to fast hold em (as there were 6 players) but this was far from ideal as that game is largely a game of raise or fold.
I'm sure it didn't help as I ran horribly too, but that's all part of the game.

I think the idea of a bonus pot is a great idea. Between 5000 and 15000 points there will be another 20 1e tickets for all of us which is a pain for you and for us, but thank you for helping. You could still make the bonus pot specific in terms of PLO, NL or SNG and still promote the games you are looking to improve liquidity on. Regards Adrian

Maybe it isn't a great business model to SAY we're doing it, but I do like to lean towards honesty in this thread.

Every single loyalty scheme in the world has this built in. PokerStars do it, the big supermarket chains in the UK do it (and I assume everywhere else), your credit card company do it. The entire poker industry does it.

We infact have a very similar philosophy on this as the UK supermarket chains do. We know that if you do x you are, on average, worth y more. They'll do 2 for 1 on chocolate fingers because they think you'll also buy Pringles. We do "cheap" tickets to SNG because we know you'll stay on the site longer if you use some.

I think this was probably a symptom of the "technical problem" difficulties, so this should be much better now.

My plan is if, say, we want to build PLO25, to make those tickets cheaper than NL25, or per dollar cheaper than PLO10. That way we nudge players in the right direction, and we can announce sales etc. We could also perhaps change prices for specific players on the fly.

Hi Andrew you can convert the MTT and UO tickets to the 4 EUR 5max SNG . If i have tickets remaining that do not reach the 4 EUR mark you can convert those to 1 EUR SNG tickets

Maybe adding a feature that alllows players to convert their tickets from MTT or UO to SNG would be a big plus because lots of people are asking you to change tickets in this thread

OK, ticket converting is getting a bit out of hand. From now on, I will exchange any tickets EXCEPT for Unibet Open ones. I don't mind changing 10x €1 UBO to 1x €10 UBO (etc), but I will stop changing 10x €1 UBO for 1x €10 SNG (etc). If I don't do this then all I'll be doing is converting tickets. In a few weeks we'll bring back "Road To Cannes" or a variant of it, and it'll get even worse then.

I'll also move a potential bonus system up the priority list.
